Twenty-Three

Give Me Your Heart

Jiyong was sitting on the cafeteria with his mind somewhere else. He kept rolling his water bottle on the table; back and forth between his hands as he was lost in his own thoughts. He wondered what was Taeyang's motives with Taeyeon. It was killing him inside. He wanted to know so badly yet he couldn't find anything out. He hadn't seen Taeyeon almost all day. It worried him as he suddenly started to look around to see that she was nowhere in sight. Kiko had been watching him for a while until she took his hand and started to play with his fingers.

"Baby, what's wrong?" She asks yet she didn't really care.

That caught Jiyong's attention as he looks at her.

"Why do you ask?"

She shrugged her shoulders and got closer to him.

"You're not yourself today."

Jiyong sighed and looked away from her as he shrugged.

"I just don't feel like myself."

Kiko smirked to herself as she slowly started to move her other hand higher on his thigh as she whispered in his ear.

"Maybe I can fix that."

Jiyong rolled his eyes and sighs as he removes her hand.

"Really Kiko? Here at lunch?"

Kiko rolled her eyes and pulls both her hands back.

"It's not like you'd do it anywhere else."

Jiyong took a deep breath and pushed her hands away.

"I don't want to take advantage of you like that anymore. Why would you wanna sleep with me when we're only doing this because we had a deal?"

Now that he thinks about it, it was a stupid deal to begin with. He couldn't believe that he made a deal with her especially one like that. He surely regrets it now.

"Come on, babe. Forget that deal. Let's just do it for fun." She smiles at him as she got closer to him.

"Don't forget that I'm paralyzed, Kiko."

That did it for Kiko. She rolled her eyes, mad as she got up and leaves Jiyong to himself.

Taeyeon and Tiffany walk inside the cafeteria and sat on their usual table, eating their lunch in silence. Taeyeon couldn't help but look over at Jiyong but as soon as he looks back at her, she quickly looks away. Tiffany notices it quickly.

"There's something you're not telling me."

"Same with you. What's up with you and my--" Taeyeon stops for a second. "...Seunghyun?"

Tiffany sighs as she looks down at her food, lost in her own thoughts.

"Ever since he saw me with Seungyoon, he keeps on trying to show me that he cares about me."

"Do you care?"

"Of course I do. Always have and I have a feeling that I always will."

Taeyeon noticed someone walking towards them and she couldn't help but bit her bottom lip.

"Well..he's coming this way."

Seunghyun goes towards the table where the girls were sitting and he sits down next to Tiffany. That shocked both girls.

"Seunghyun, what are you doing here? They are staring..your popular friends."

Seunghyun didn't say anything as he shrugs.

"Let them stare. I'm gonna sit with my two favorite girls today."

Tiffany and Taeyeon looked at him with a weird look on their face especially Tiffany was stunned.

"You're serious about this?"

He looks at Tiffany as he takes her hand.

"One hundred completely serious."

Both girls were stunned by his action but something caught Tiffany's attention as she looks at their hands then back at him.

"Wait, you said TWO favorite girls?"

Taeyeon sighed as she looked down at her plate.

"Tiff, we're brother and sister."

That definitely took Tiffany off guard as she looked at them both.

"What?!"

Jiyong kept his eyes on Taeyeon as he watched her every feature. It was like he was in a trance of hers. He felt so many emotions that were unreal to him. Why her? Why now? How did this happen? He didn't even notice his friends whom were staring at him and at Taeyeon until one of them decided to say something.

"Dude, what's the deal? You've been staring at that chick the whole time."

Jiyong gulped as he took his eyes off her for the first time ever since she walked in. He didn't even know what to answer him. He was hesitated about it.

"What? No, I haven't."

"Dude, you're still not even looking at me." His friend chuckled.

Jiyong gulped as he turns to him and sighs.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what's up with me."

But his friend knew exactly what was up with him.

"You're whipped dude!" His friend started to laugh.

Jiyong covered his mouth as he gave him a look to be quiet which his friend understood. Jiyong rolled his eyes as he let him go but once he started to relax, his friend whispered in his ear.

"You're so whipped dude!"

"I am not whipped." He rolled his eyes at him as he sighs and looks at Taeyeon again. "I'm just..."

"...falling for the new girl?"

That made Jiyong snap as he turned to his friend, glaring at him.

"I SWEAR TO GOD. IF YOU TELL ANYONE I'LL--"

"Calm down, Jiyong. You know I've got your back." He pauses. "But what's been going on? How are you..you know.."

That was the question that Jiyong wants to know. What was going on with him and Taeyeon?

He sighs as he looks back at Taeyeon.

"I don't know. There's..there's something about her. She always knows just what to say, and it's because she gets me like no one else does. I know it's definitely not like me to say these kinds of things, but I really can't help what I'm feeling. She's..something special."

His friend was stuck on what to say as he turns to where Taeyeon was at.

"So what are you gonna do about it?"

It took a while before Jiyong could answer that question.

"Nothing."

That caught his friend off guard, surprised even.

"Nothing? Dude, all you need to do is snap your fingers and you have the ladies waiting in line for you."

Jiyong chuckled to himself.

"Taeyeon, for sure, would never wait in line for a guy like me." He pauses. "Plus, I heard that Taeyang asked her out."

His friend shook his head.

"Forget Taeyang. Forget Kiko. Forget the popularity. Dude, forget it all. If you want her, then get her. Trust me when I say, no one can stop you."

Jiyong looked at his friend, wondering why he was telling him all this. His other friends would never tell him this. They would just laugh at him and tell him to get some other girl.

"Why do you want this for me so bad?"

"Because I know I'm not the only one who knows you're not happy with the life you live. Whatever it is. But if she'll make you happy then it's all that matters."

Jiyong sighed again for the hundreth time that day.

"If only the rest were like you.."

Seungyoon sat infront of his English teacher as he waited for her to finish grading papers that way she could give him the tests that he was missing. He knew that he had to do well on his studies. As he was lost in his thought, he heard his teacher's voice. He looked up at her.

"You know, Seungyoon..you can do the test tomorrow. You can go on to lunch. I'm sure you're hungry."

Seungyoon shook his head as he looked at her.

"I'm fine besides it's better if I do them now than later."

"What made you decided to stay in school today? Or actually come to class?" She puts her papers away and looks at him. "You hadn't come in weeks."

"Yoona." He paused for a moment. "My brother as well."

She nods as she gets up and walks over to his desk, giving him several of the tests he had missed.

"I understand and I'm truly sorry about them passing away."

He nods before he starts taking his exams. The teacher turned and was about to walk over to her desk until he spoke once again.

"I'm also doing it for my best friend, Tiffany."

She stops for a moment before turning back at him.

"Tiffany? Oh yes, I have her in my fourth hour." She smiles. "Beautiful girl."

"She really is." He smiles to himself as the thought of earlier came back to his mind.

"Yes, she's one of my best students. She's never got a grade lower than a C. She never disappoints."

"I know." He pauses. "She's pretty hard to keep up with."

"Sure but she's always a helpful hand." She smiles before she walks over to her desk, working on some papers.

Seungyoon looks back at the test as he thinks about everyone before starting the test.

"You know this." A angelic voice whispered in his ear.

He shook his head.

"Seungyoon, I'm an angel now. I know that drugs aren't the only thing you carry in that backpack. You shouldn't be ashamed of your intelligence. You shouldn't be ashamed to actually show that you study. Show her you do. Show her you're not a failure and that you're doing it for her as well but mostly for yourself.

That angelic voice was all that Seungyoon could hear.

Seunghyun turned to Taeyeon as he waited for her by her locker.

"You ready to go?"

"We're leaving..together?" Taeyeon asked him, surprised as she put her books inside her locker.

Seunghyun chuckled as he wrapped his arm on her shoulders and pulled her close to him.

"I told you. I don't care if they stare. I don't care about the popularity anymore. I just care about my little sister." He with a slight pinch on her nose.

Taeyeon couldn't but smile at Seunghyun' silly motives.

"Liar."

He pouted as they started to walk.

"Okay, I'm not totally over the popularity thing." He chuckled. "But I'm trying. Gimme a break sis."

Taeyeon giggled at him but then it fades as he thought of someone.

"And Jiyong?"

"He said he'll get one of the guys to give him a ride." He shrugs.

"Because he doesn't want to be seen with me.." She frowned, disappointed.

Seunghyun frowned as they walked towards the front doors.

"It'll be okay. Let's just go."

Taeyeon nodded and smiled at Seunghyun as a thank you for trying to make her feel better. He looked at her and smiled back at her. Once they stepped out, they had caught someone's eye immediately. Kiko noticed Seunghyun and Taeyeon walking out of the school together. She tilted her head in confusion yet she couldn't help but laugh.

"Oh, my god. What's Seunghyun doing with that nerd?" She couldn't help but laugh.

One of the guys looked at Jiyong, hoping that he'll do something to defend her; yet, he just looks away. But it caught someone else's attention as he stood up and looked at Taeyeon and Seunghyun laughing.

Taeyang chuckles under his breath as he watches them.

"I think it's time to have a talk with Seunghyun. In front of everyone."

Jiyong's eyes widen as he turned to Taeyang, not liking this at all.

"Tae. Chill man. Really."

"Seunghyun!" Seungri yells from across the hall.

Seunghyun and Taeyeon turned around, seeing them smirking at them both.

Chapter 27: Jiyong should follow his friend's advice and make Taeyeon his girlfriend. Stop letting what everyone thinks and start following his heart. Kiko just needs to back off and let Jiyong live his life. I'm glad Seunghyun is admitting who his sister is and hopefully he defends her like a brother should. They all need happiness including Jiyong.

Chapter 26: I hope jiyong can stop taeyang before things get worse. It was nice how he snapped at seungri for what the are doing. Jiyong and Taeyeon brothers should treat her better in school, who cares how popular they are, I mean is it worth it to hurt people you care about for?
