Give Me Your Heart

Tiffany yawns softly as she closed her eyes, lying her head on the pillow until she heard a soft knock on her window. She slowly sat up and walked to the window to see Seungyoon standing outside. Her eyes widen as she opened the window and takes a few steps back while she watched him climb up the tree to her window and into her room.

“Seungyoon, what are you doing here especially this late at night?”

She watches him as he takes off his backpack and looks at her. She notices his eyes being puffy and red like he had been crying.

“I need you..uhm..” He stops. “I just..I need your help and a place to say for a few days.” He mumbles the last past before he looks down.

Tiffany’s eyes widen.

“No..no way! You can’t. My mom would kill me if she finds out you’re here. I can’t. I’m sorry.” She blurted out as she bit her bottom lip. She really wanted to help him but her parents were very strict.

Seungyoon’s eyes looked at her with pleading eyes.

“Tiff, please.” That caught Tiffany off guard as he quickly wrapped his arms around her. “I need you.”

She kept quiet as her hands slowly wrapped around him while she gripped on his shirt from behind. Her mind was fighting with her heart. Her heart wanted to help him yet her mind was telling her no because of all the times he’s ignored her and left her alone. She closed her eyes as she felt him tighten his arms around her.

“I can’t go back. Not to an empty house again.” His eyes started to water. “Please Tiff.”

She rested her head against his chest as she pulled herself closer to him. She knew that he needed someone and he came to her. That gave her hope. Her lips curved into a smile.

“You can stay as long as you need to..” She mumbles as she closed her eyes.

Seungyoon smiles down at Tiffany as he pulls her closer, squeezing her tightly. He felt like this was right. He didn’t realize how much he had missed her hugs until now. He didn’t want to away from her anymore. He needed her and he planned not to lose her again. He had before but that will change.

Tiffany cleared as she slowly pulled away from the hug which Seungyoon nor her didn’t like. She gave him a small smile before walking to the closet to get a few blankets and pillows so he can use. She placed them on the couch that was in her room before she grabbed a big shirt with some boy shorts that her brother would use when he would come and visit. She handed them to Seungyoon.

“These will likely fit you since you and my brother have similar body figures.”

Seungyoon nodded and headed to the bathroom to change. He stood in the bathroom as he felt his chest beating faster and faster which he didn’t expect. His lips curved into a smile at the thought of Tiffany. He suddenly shook his head and started to change into the clothes that Tiffany gave him. He didn’t wanted to be away from her.

Tiffany sighed as she slapped her cheeks lightly as she thought to herself to stop herself from thinking about Seungyoon. They’re just friends. That’s it. She walked to the couch and removed a couple of her stuff so he could at least sleep there instead of the couch. She was so focus on cleaning the couch that she didn’t realize that Seungyoon had already finished and was out of the bathroom. She slowly turned around as she was satisfied with how the couch looked with the blankets and pillow. She slightly jumped as she saw Seungyoon with her brother’s clothes that fit him perfectly. She gulped as she noticed that she was staring at him too long.

“The clothes fit huh.” He nodded at her. “I know it’s not the most comfortable couch but it’s the only place you can sleep in here.” She bit her lip as she avoided his eyes.

Seungyoon looked at her and nodded. He made his way towards it but stopped as he stood beside her, their arms slightly touching as he looked down at her since he was slightly taller than her. She felt the his warmth against her arm which made her look up at him. They stared for a moment before Tiffany looked away, not wanting to make it more awkward than it already was. Seungyoon smiled and pecked her cheek.

“Thank you Tiff.” He softly says against her ear before he laid down on the couch as he position himself to face her bed.

Tiffany’s cheeks blushed softly before she made her way towards her bed.

“Mom never comes in my room so you should be safe for a few days.” She says as she turns the light off and gets in her bed, under the covers as she met Seungyoon’s eye. She was facing him as well.

“You go to bed pretty early huh?” He asked as he realized that it was still pretty early.

“Don’t make fun of me.” She playfully glares at him before flashing him a smile.

He chuckles before he smirks at her.

“It’s fine. I don’t mind.”

She smiles at him before she closed her eyes, feeling so tired that all she wants is to sleep.

“Tiffany?” He softly whispers as he notices that she had her eyes closed.

“Yes?” She whispers back as she opened one of her eyes.

“Thank you..” He whispers as he stared at her.

That caused Tiffany to open both of her eyes as she smiled at him.

“You know I’d always be here for you.” She whispers as she stares into his eyes as well.

“I know.” He pauses as he frowns and looks away. “It just took my stupidity to prove it.”

“You’re not stupid.” She giggles which made him stare at her again.

Before Tiffany could say anything else, her phone starts to vibrate which was on a table that was next to Seungyoon. That caught both of their attention. Tiffany rolled her eyes and tightly gripped on her sheets.

“Don’t get it. It’s Seunghyun.”

“Why don’t you answer him? What does he want?” A slight feeling was aching in Seungyoon at the thought of Seunghyun texting Tiffany.

“I don’t want to talk to him and I guess he wants to win me over.” Tiffany mumbled as she pulled the cover a bit higher as she felt anger and frustration riling up.

“Win you over?”

“He thinks he’s playing against you.” She whispers as she looks away.

Seungyoon’s eyes widen yet he smiled to himself at the thought that Seunghyun wanted to win Tiffany against him. In his eyes, he had a determine look. He didn’t wanted Seunghyun to get Tiffany because..he wanted her?

Jiyong looked around the room as he found out that this is Taeyeon’s room. He felt guilty to take it away from her as he watched her getting some stuff out of the room. He looked down at his hands.

“Thanks again for letting me stay in your room, but if you want it back; don’t hesitate.”

That made Taeyeon smile as she shook her head.

“I should let you get to bed.” She got a few of her stuff and was heading out until she felt something odd staring at her. She slowly turned to see Jiyong looking at her. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

Jiyong shrugs his shoulders as he kept his eye on her.

“No matter what I can’t seem to figure you out.”

Taeyeon blinked her eyes for a while before she blurted out laughing before she placed her stuff down and made her way towards him. She slowly sat on a chair, beside him as she crossed her arms.

“I’ll give you one hint.”

That got his attention as he smiles at her and nods.

“I’ll take it.”

Taeyeon nodded as her smile slowly faded as she looks down for a few seconds which Jiyong caught but before he could say anything, she looked up at him.

“I’ve been hurt one too many times.”

“By guys?” He asked, clearly thinking of past relationships she had.

Taeyeon shook her head as she took a deep breath.

“Just..life in general.” She pauses. “When you told me about your life, it reminded about me. So much of my own. And as much as I hate it, it’s nice to know that there’s someone who has been it or knows what I have gone through even if that someone is you.”

“Hey! What’s that suppose to mean?” He joked as he pouted which made Taeyeon laugh at him. “You know, you’re really good at hiding the fact that you’re not okay.”

“You’d actually be surprised at how obvious it is sometimes but people are to busy to even see it.” She mumbles as she rubs her arms.

“Doesn’t matter even with all those obvious times, I never would have guessed that you’re somewhat like me. Never actually.” He shrugs his shoulders.

“A few weeks ago, you’d be the last person I’d be telling this to.” She chuckles as she smiles at him, wondering how this ever happened. Smiling and laughing with a guy that hated her guts and bullied her.

“But here we are now, and now you that I’m really not a bad guy.” He smiles at her.

“You aren’t?” She says with a confused look on her face, jokingly.

They both burst into laughter.

“Can I tell you something? Jiyong says with a smile on his face, it had been a long time since he truly had a conversation with someone, even laughing and smiling. Taeyeon nodded her head. “You’re the only girl who’s ever gotten to know me like this.” He looks at her.

“What do you mean?”

Jiyong sighs deeply as he started to explain. “I know they say I’ve hooked up with every girl at school but no one, not even Kiko has gotten to know me. It’s usually for the popularity or just to be able to say. “I hooked up with Kwon Jiyong, the high school’s jock.”

“Well, at least I can back you up and tell them that they missed out on a really cool guy.”

“You’re really not like other girls, are you?” He says, actually liking that she isn’t like other guys.

She smiles as she looks down and shook her head.

“Nope. I’m Taeyeon; 23 hours a day.”

“Why 23?” He asks, confused.

“The last hour’s gonna cost you.” She joked with a smile on her face which caused Jiyong to laugh.

“You’re really not what I expected.”

“I told you that you judged too quickly. Everyone is just too judgmental that they forget to be open and get to know people.”

Jiyong get quiet as well as Taeyeon. They both just stare at each other. Not saying anything. The silence engulfed them into a place where no one else existed. Only them. Jiyong stared at Taeyeon’ soft, delicate skin with her beautiful eyes staring right at him. He couldn’t help but lean in, thinking about how soft her lips felt like. Taeyeon caught him leaning in as she stared, not sure of what she should do. In the back of her mind, she wondered how his lips tasted against her but she snapped out of it when she promised herself to not fall in love with anyone. Jiyong suddenly stops as he realized at what he was doing. His lips were about to meet hers but he quickly backs away.

“Oh woo..um..I’m really sorry about this.”

She nods as she stood up from the chair, feeling nervous all of the sudden.

“Yeah..I am too..” She paused as she avoided his eyes. “I should let you get that sleep now.”

“Yeah, um..goodnight Taeyeon.” He felt a wave of nervousness fill his whole body as he quickly laid down and pulled the covers over himself.

Taeyeon nodded as she walked over to switch off the lights and walked out, closing the door behind her. She leaned against it as her lips curved into a smile at what happened. She suddenly snapped out of it as she thought that she had been standing there for a while. She shook her head before walking off.

Jiyong removed the cover off of him as he stared at the ceiling with a smile on his face at the thought of what had just happened. He turned to his side as he closed his eyes at the thought of Taeyeon filling his mind.

The Next Morning

Seunghyun walked inside the room where Jiyong was staying at as he noticed that he was still asleep. He rolled his eyes as he shook him.

“Bro, wake up. You’re going back to school today, remember. Come on.” He said as he tried to wake Jiyong up.

Jiyong managed to hear Seunghyun’s deep voice which made him wake up. He slowly sat up as he looked at his friend.

“What?”

“School, remember that place? Where you go to learn?” Seunghyun says as he was telling a five year old what a school was.

Jiyong groaned in annoyance especially early in the morning.

“I guess it’s time to face them all right?” He sighs, not knowing if he can do it.

Seunghyun nodded at him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Nothing’s gonna change.”

Jiyong nodded as he suddenly felt Seunghyun’s arms around his waist as he lifted him up. Jiyong’s eyes widen at what Seunghyun was doing. Seunghyun ignored him as he managed to carry Jiyong down the stairs where everyone was waiting. Once he managed to get them both downstairs, he sat Jiyong down at the table with out of breath.

“Man, if taking you down those stairs every morning is gonna be this hard, then someone else should do it.” Seunghyun whined as he sat down beside him, already exhausted.

“Sorry bro but hey, you’ll only have to do it for three more weeks until I can walk again. Or..so I hope.” Jiyong tried to cheer up Seunghyun but that backfired.

Taeyeon yawned softly as she walked downstairs with Dae and sat down at the table too.

“Morning everyone.” She says as she rubs her eyes which made everyone look at her. They all thought she looked so adorable.

“Good morning Taeyeon.” Jiyong was the first to say it back to her with a smile on his face.

Seo-Yeon walks in the dining room as she sets the breakfast down in front of them before she grabbed her coat and bag.

“I’m off to work already. Have a fun at school everyone!” She says as she gives everyone a peck on the head before leaving.

“Fun? At school? That’s highly impossible.” Taeyeon mumbles as she starts to eat her breakfast very slowly.

Jiyong heard her and looked at her confused.

“Why’s that?”

Taeyeon looked at him and sighed.

“You’re asking the class “nerd” why she doesn’t have fun at school.”

“No one is gonna bother you today.” Jiyong says, positive in his words which made Taeyeon not believe him.

“Just because you’re back isn’t going to make my life easier. If anything, it’ll become worse.” Her voice softly fades as Dae frowns at Taeyeon’ sad face. He slowly gets closer to her and hugs her for comfort. She slowly looks at him and gives him a small smile.

“No, Jiyong’s right. No one’s going to bother you. Not while I’m there.” Seunghyun blurted out with a stern voice as he looked at Taeyeon.

“No one even knows we’re related.” She sighs as she looks down, her mood clearly down. “Let’s be real guys, I think the three of us know you guys aren’t ready to give up your popularity just for me.” She suddenly stood up with Dae following her, gripping on her hand. “And if you ask me, it’s definitely not worth it.” She gives them a small smile before leaving the kitchen with Dae.

Jiyong watches her walking away but what he didn’t like was that she was right. And Dae; the fact that he was gripping on her hand instead of him. It was killing him. He just wanted to push Dae away and take her away but he didn’t think he was ready for it.

“I don’t wanna be that same jerk I was and I wanna help her but..i don’t think I’m ready..” He admits as he looks down.

Seunghyun looks at his friend before he sighs.

“I am.” He pauses. “She’s…she’s my sister. She’s only got Tiffany at school and I don’t want to watch her get pushed around.” He frowns at the thought of her getting bullied. He didn’t like it.

“Seunghyun? Really?”

“Not only that, but my grades are slipping as well. With all these parties, I have absolutely no time for homework or studying.” He pauses again before he looks at Jiyong. “And maybe..maybe giving it all up will show Tiffany that I really care about her and that I want her back.”

“Have you lost it?” Jiyong says as he couldn’t believe what his friend was saying.

Seunghyun shook his head and smiles.

“I’ve found it actually. All this popularity gives you is nothing but trouble. I’m tired of it.”

Tiffany watches her mother leaving before she sighed deeply and walked back into her room where Seungyoon was sitting on the couch with some clothes he had on his backpack. Tiffany closed her door which caused him to look up at her.

“The coast is clear. She already left for work. We can go now.” She says as she grabs her jacket and puts it on before putting on her backpack.

Seungyoon nods before he stands up as well and walks towards Tiffany who was too busy wrapping her scarf around her neck but for some odd reason, she wasn’t able to. He smiled at her before he got a hold of her hands which stopped her. She looked up at him to see him smiling at her.

“Let me do it for you.” He softly says as he slowly ties the scarf around her neck so she wouldn’t get cold. He could smell the lovely perfume that she had which was intoxicating his insides. She smelled like roses. Tiffany’s breath was stuck in as she felt his warmth so close to her. It was just like last night. The closeness. The warmth of each other. It was messing with her mind and heart. She bit her lip as she watched him.

“There you go.” He softly says as he looks at her, still close to her.

Tiffany nodded as she avoided his eyes.

“Thanks for that. We should get going now.” She says as she grips on his hand and pulls him out of her room, heading out of the house. The cold weather taking their breath away as they walked to school. Seungyoon couldn’t help but realize that Tiffany hadn’t let go of his hand. He liked it. She would always hold his hands. That never changed about her. His lips curved into a smile as he gripped on her hand and looked forward, not noticing Tiffany’s blushed cheeks and that wasn’t because of the cold weather.

“Seungyoon? Why did you come to my place out of all places?” She suddenly says as curiosity killed the cat and in this moment, it ruined the silent moment between them.

He was quiet for a while before he turned to her whom had a spark of curiosity in her eyes. It took his breath away before he looked down.

“I don’t know..I just did.”

“But why did you?”

It took him a moment to answer as he stopped walking and stared at her. Tiffany noticed that he stopped as she looked at him. He didn’t look away. He kept his eyes on her before he took a step forward towards her which caught her off guard. He gave her a small smile before he raised his hand and rested it on her cold cheek.

“Because I needed to see you.”

Chapter 27: Jiyong should follow his friend's advice and make Taeyeon his girlfriend. Stop letting what everyone thinks and start following his heart. Kiko just needs to back off and let Jiyong live his life. I'm glad Seunghyun is admitting who his sister is and hopefully he defends her like a brother should. They all need happiness including Jiyong.

Chapter 26: I hope jiyong can stop taeyang before things get worse. It was nice how he snapped at seungri for what the are doing. Jiyong and Taeyeon brothers should treat her better in school, who cares how popular they are, I mean is it worth it to hurt people you care about for?
