15. Running For Our Lives.

My eyes couldn’t clearly shot down and I found myself reopening them when some heavy noises came closer to our cabin. I raised and looked around. Xiumin wasn’t inside anymore. For someone who was supposed to look over me , I wonder where he went. “ Over there! He escaped over there!” I heard a really manly man saying. I gasped and walked closer to the door. Before I had even had the time to open it, it flew right open, revealing a really out of breath Xiumin. He entered and closed the door behind him. “ Fast, come with me… “ He said despite the fact he wasn’t really totally alright to go anywhere. “ Where? What happened? I closed my eyes two seconds and you were away! “ I almost shouted but he put his hand over my mouth. “ Shhh… They are coming… Fast! “ He said dragging me through the little window at the back before making me run further into the forest.

Without replying , I simply followed his orders. Whatever was the reason , it must have been a good one. We ran for a good 10 minutes before he let go of my hand and looked at me, no matter how far we might go , the sound coming from the persons chasing us was coming closer and closer. There was no need to run away since it wouldn’t lead anywhere. He simply pushed me further to the side of the path and dragged me down into a big bush. I gasped from the sudden action and he bent down to come with me. The bush was next a three so my back was now against it and I was facing Xiumin who was dangerously close to me due to the lack of space.

“ Where are they? “ The same man shouted. I gulped and looked at Xiumin who was simply looking at me , making me a silent sign with his finger. I nodded and stayed silent. The men were making a lot of noises and I gasped lightly and looked at Xiumin. I knew the voices I was hearing. There were the voices of some of Yixing’s men, therefore , men from the Imperial army. I tried to make a sign to Xiumin to calm down and I was about to raise from our hiding position when Xiumin pushed me hardly against the three, coming inches from my face. I widened my eyes. He simply looked at me , still asking to remain silent.

After 15 minutes of searching , the men walked away, continuing their researches. Xiumin took his hand out of my face and I gulped. He looked into my eyes so deeply that my eyes were almost tearing up of emotions. I frowned as I lost myself in them. I was trapped between the three and his imposing chest , without having the single possibility to move whatsoever. “ Xiumin… what’s going on? “I asked him but he stayed there looking at me like I was a miracle coming straight from heaven. I blushed as I saw him blushing himself. He looked so cute in that right moment, so vulnerable. His usually so masculine traits became softer , only to give him an almost childish look. He smirked lightly at me and looked to the ground, like if he knew he wasn’t supposed to be in this situation but his whole body was saying otherwise. He quickly looked back up and bit a part of his soft lips. I found myself looking at them and he did that very right motion. I didn’t noticed his hand slowly raising from the ground to find his place at the very base of my neck. I shivered from his touch.

“ Xiumin…” I whispered as he was so close to my face. He looked right into my eyes still. He let his falling on my shoulder, caressing each parcel of flesh in between. I closed my eyes to this new sensation quite pleasant. I gasped when I felt him slowly pushing my dress sleeve down a little , only to reveal more of my shoulder. “ What are you doing? “ I managed to ask him and he smirked again. His smirks weren’t arrogant and full of confidence as usual , it was somehow… charming.

“  What I said I would. I never give up , Meiying. “ He said looking straight into my eyes. “ Xiumin… don’t … “ I said looking back into his eyes. “ I won’t do anything wrong , Meiying… I just want you to feel the same thing I do…” He bent closer as I sighed from the long time I held in my breath. He slowly kissed my shoulder. “ Affection…” He said moving closer into my neck. “ Desire…” He said again as I sensually kissed it. He then moved to my jaw. He slowly kissed it as his nose was now brushing against my cheek. “Passion...” He added before looking right at me. I closed my eyes as he moved closer. I expected him to come crushing his lips roughly against mine but , instead , he gently pecked them. It was nothing hard or forced. I even felt like my body was responding. He pushed himself back into his initial place with the help of the support he had on the three behind me. I opened my eyes and quickly touched my lips as I looked into his deep brown eyes. He smirked again. “ But I won’t force you either butterfly… I want you to love me , butterfly, not to hate me. “ He added and I gasped.

He was so sweet in his way to aboard me. “ One day you will come asking for it. I tell you. “ He added giving me his usual wink and I smiled shyly before looking down. I cleared my voice as he was still intently looking at me. “ Why did we hided from your men? “ I asked him and he then became serious all over again. He raised and helped me do the same. “ The army quickly got ride of the enemy since we were a lot more than them. Almost nobody got hurt or kill.” He said and my heart felt relieved. I opened my mouth to speak but he abruptly cut me. “ Yes , butterfly. He is alright. “ He said almost harshly. That’s when I understood how hurt he might be deep inside. I can’t say he loves me but he surely did liked me and I couldn’t deny it anymore. As probably one of the only surviving witness of the love I was bearing for Yixing , it must have been a constant pain to know his affection wasn’t reciprocated.

“ I walked back there to see if Yixing was still alive while you were sleeping. It wasn’t for a long time but I had the time to see. “ He said looking down. “ They were looking for you.
