Kamiki Ryunosuke's Room

/Around the table gathers Kamiki Ryunosuke, Fukuda Mayuko, Sakamoto Shougo, Shida Mirai and Yamada Ryosuke. Okay, arrangement goes:

In a rectangular table, Kamiki and Mayuko sits next to each other on the east side of the table, on the west is Ryosuke and Mirai (Kamiki is in front of Mirai so she's oh-so-grinning) then Shougo sits on the north side between Ryosuke and Mayuko./

Shougo: Sorry, did we keep you two waiting? (smiles at Kamiki and Mayuko)

Mayuko: No, it's fine. I was just a little early.

Kamiki: Anyway, where have you been with Suzuka-chan, Shougo?

Shougo: Eh?

Mirai: Suzuka-chan?

Shougo: (cracks a laugh) Nuh! It was nothing...She just needed a little company so... (nods to himself) I went with her on a walk for awhile. (feels  little proud that he can make a good lie)

Mirai: Since when did you start hanging out? (tilts head)

Shougo: Just reecently! 

Mirai: Sou~ (nods continuously) ...But---(cut)

Shougo: Hey, when did Tokugawa shugonate ruled Japan again?

Ryosuke: Obviously during the Edo period.

Shougo: (leans closer to Ryosuke) When was the Edo period?

Ryosuke: 1603. (moves away)

Shougo: Until...?

Ryosuke: 1868! Hey! Why are you getting closer?!

/door opens/

"Ryuu-chan!!!"

/everone looks at the person on the door/

Kamiki: Onee-chan!

Shougo: O! Maki-nee! 

Maki: Whoah!!! Shougo-kun! Mayuko-chan too!

Mayuko: (bows) It's good to see you again Maki-senpai.

Maki: (looks at Ryosuke and Mirai) Hello! I'm Horikita Maki, Ryuu-chan's older sister, nice to meet you!

Mirai: Uh! (moves to face Maki and bow) My name is Shida Mirai.

Maki: (shakes Mirai's hands) Whoah! You're the second girl Ryuu-chan brought in our house!

Mirai: (laughs) Second, eh~ (glimpses at Mayuko) 

Maki: (looks at Ryosuke)

Ryosuke: (bows) Yamada Ryosuke desu.

Maki: Uhnn? (stares at Ryosuke) Yamada...Ryo--Uuuhhhhhh!!!!! (yells)

Ryosuke: (leans back in surprise) Eh?

Maki: Toma-kun's nephew dayou ne?! (looks excited) 

Ryosuke: (slowly nods) Hai~

Maki: (shakes Ryosuke's shoulders) WHoah!!!! 

Kamiki: Nee-chan, stop shaking Yamada-san!

Maki: (stops) Gomen, gomen. (stares at Ryosuke) Ryo-chan, has gone way more good-looking ne~ 

Ryosuke: (forced a laugh)

Maki: (pouts) Mou~ you don't remember me, do you?

Ryosuke: Uhnnn~ (scratches his nape) 

Maki: (hits Ryosuke in the arm lightly) Maki-nee!!! Maki-nee desu!!! (sticks her tongue out and made a crossed-eye expression)

Ryosuke: Maki-nee!!! Uncle's girlfriend?! Uhn...I mean, ex-girlfriend.

Maki: Hai-hai!!!

Ryosuke: Sorry, I didn't recognize you. (tilts his head) Well, you look more like a lady now.

Maki: (laughs) I know, I know! (looks at everyone) I used to have a very short hair in high school and I go along with boys. Play basketball, video games.

Shougo: Eh? That's hard to believe for someone as gorgeous as Maki-nee.

Maki: (laughs) Oh Shougo-kun, you don't have to praise me too much!

Kamiki: That means... (glares at Ryosuke) You are Ryo-chan?

Ryosuke: (glares back at Kamiki) And you are Ryuu-chan?

Mirai: (looks at Ryosuke, then to Kamiki, then vise versa)

Shougo: Whoa! (looks at both party) What's that weaird aura just now?

Maki: I used to visit at Toma-kun's house and Ryo-chan always cooks dinner for us! You know what, he can cook really well!!!

Mirai: That's so true! 

Maki: Especially--

Mirai: Oden!

Maki: Hai! And also Ryo-chan's nikujaga!

Mirai: Nikujaga? (looks at Ryosuke) You should make me a nikujaga sometimes!

Ryosuke: Eh?

Shougo: (whispers at Ryosuke) (smirks) So you cook for her, eh?~

Ryosuke: (glares at Shougo)

Maki: And Ryo-chan would always use his cute strawberry bobby pins to set aside his bangs when ever he cooks.

Mirai: Really?! (laughs) He doesn't use them now, but he has a strawberry pattern head band!

Maki: Awwh~ I'm sure he looks cute on it!

/Maki and Mirai will continue conversing without a care of the other people inside the room/

Ryosuke: (face palmed) Haaa~ 

Kamiki: I'm sorry about that. My sister can really be a such a nuisance. (looks at Ryosuke) But I'm quite surprised that Shida-san knows a lot about you.

Ryosuke: (looks at Kamiki) Bad.

Shougo: Whooa-ho-hooow!!! Uuuhhh! Guys, uhnnn... when was then again when Japan becomes an independent nation?

Kamiki and Ryosuke: 1951 after signing the San Francisco Peace Treaty with the Allied powers!!!

Mayuko: (sigh) Actually it was in 1952. The signing was in 1951 but Japan becomes an independent nation in 1952.

Kamiki: (looks at Mayuko) Was it?

Mayuko: You were too distracted you forgot. (raise a brow)

Shougo: Whow!!! (feels the tension) (forces a laugh) Well I don't care anyway! Whether it's 1951 or 1952.

Ryosuke: Then why did you ever bother ask?!

Shougo: Te-hee~ (makes a peace sign)

Maki: (suddenly exclaimed) Okay!!! (stands) Guess, I'll be needing to leave! So, ganbare!!! (leaves throught the door)

Everyone: Arigatou!!!

A couple of minutes later...

/They are seriously studying...unexpectedly/

Mirai: (scratches her head) Hmmm~ 

Kamiki: What is wrong, Shida-chan? 

Mirai: I can't answer this one. I am pretty not good in Math.

Kamiki: (moves closer on the edge of he table) Let me see... (looks down at her book) Okay, look at this... You are using an equation not applicable to the problem.. see this?

Mirai: (nods) Is that so?

Kamiki: This equations are for problems like this, in numbers 1 and 3. But in this problem, you go on using the other one. Look (solves the mathematical problem).

Mirai: Whoah! Sugoii!!! <3

Ryosuke: (looks down at the answer Kamiki presented) Is it just the same if you go using the third equation then? (scribbles on his own notebook) See this one, if you use the third equation you'd come up with the same answer. 

Mirai: Uh! It's true.

Kamiki: That's also clever. But you see Yamada-san, the teachers won't be considering such crappy usage of equation.

Ryosuke: Crappy? (laughs briefly) That's called technique.

Shougo: Uuuhhh~

Kamiki: Technique yes, but not following the rules of using the equation will still mark you wrong.

Mayuko: (sigh) 

Ryosuke: In a time pressure examination, you don't act like a smart ... being wise is enough.

Mirai: Anoouu~ (looks both Ryosuke nd Kamiki)

Kamiki: Being wise sometimes means acting dumb.

Ryosuke: Isn't it dumb to use the longest three-step equation when what's gonna be check is the final answer and not the way you answered it?

Kamiki: But a way to become an effective learner, you follow what's taught and not what you thought.

Ryosuke: I don't care if I'm not being an effective learner as long as I get the right answer. 

Kamiki: (smiles and glares at Ryosuke) Good point.

Ryosuke: (smiles and glares back) Ain't a smart ... our point of view is always like that.

Mirai: Uhnnnn... Are... you... okay... now? (looks at both of them)

Kamiki: Of course. (smiles)

Shougo: That was...complete tension. (in a low voice)

Mayuko: (rest a hand on her cheeks) (glimpses at Kamiki next to her) (then stares at Ryosuke in front of her) 

Shougo: Ne, Mayuko-chan can you explain this one please? (showed her the book he is reading)

Mayuko: Sure. (glimpses back at Kamiki who's still helping Mirai)

Kamiki: Try to answer all of these. (gives  pieace of paper)

Mirai: (nods) Okay.

a full hour later...

Mirai: Mou~ (looks at her answer sheet) I only got 9 out of 20. T^T

Kamiki: (laughs) It's fine. You just have to try it again.
