The next morning, almost all of Dara’s friends and colleagues in YG came by to visit. Even President Yang Hyun Suk spared a few hours to visit her in the hospital. Their presence showed how much they value and respect the girl much more after knowing her past.

“Oppas, don’t you have any activities today?”Minzy asked her Bigbang oppas. She, Bom and CL were the first ones who came and decided to spend the rest of the day with Dara. But to their surprise, their Bigbang oppas excluding Jiyong also visited her.

“Aishh! Minzy-yah, why are you sending us away? Of course, we also want to be with noona. Besides, my presence may help her wake up because as all of you know, I’m her favorite dongsaeng!” Seungri boasted making everyone laugh.

“Shut up, rat! You’re so full of yourself!” Chaerin answered back.

“Yah! Kids, stop bickering. I’m hungry. Why don’t we just grab something to eat first, arasso?” Bom suggested.

TOP’s POV

Closing the door, I immediately went to Dara’s side and hold her hand. The girls insisted me to come eat with them but my stubborn self won’t listen. I wanted to be on Dara’s side. I want her to know that I’m always here and that I’ll never leave.

“Dara-yah, are you going to sleep here forever?” He asked as he caresses her pale face.

“It’s almost two months and yet you’re still here. We all miss you, Dara. But we also understand that you need this time to take a break from all the hardships you’ve encountered. Everyone wants you to feel that we’re just here until you decide to wake up. We’re just here. Seunghyun is patiently waiting.” I said and chuckled on my silliness.

After a few minutes of talking and looking out for her, I stood up and opened the windows. The sun’s rays slowly enveloped Dara’s room. Looking at the view outside, I remembered the last encounter I had with Jiyong.

By the thought of it, I couldn’t help but weave a few deep sighs. The last thing I wanted is for our relationship as brothers get tainted by loving the same girl. It’s one of the reasons why I decided not to pursue Dara that time. Aside from that, it is her happiness I always wished for. And knowing her feelings towards Jiyong, I backed out. But this time, it’s different. As much as I want to protect the friendship we have, I also need to protect the girl I love.

Standing there for like twenty minutes, I must’ve spaced out a little that I did not notice someone or something moved behind me.

“Seunghyun..” I heard someone called.

 DARA’s POV

Blinded by the sunlight, I slowly scrunched my eyes and stirred a bit. And upon realizing that I’ve gotten myself into a terrible car accident as I was heading to Seoul, fear suddenly crept on my whole being. I did not dare open my eyes although my mind was clearly awake.

What if I’m already dead? I thought. I tried to observe the silence before me and heard someone sighed. With enough courage, I slowly opened my right eye and took a peek on the room I was in.

Upon seeing the place, I quickly recognized that I was in a hospital and sighed in relief. I tried pushing myself up and sat on the edge of the bed when I saw a man with his back facing me.

I was trying to figure out who he was, judging by his height and features.

“Seunghyun..” I called. Seeing him completely facing me now, I smiled awkwardly. Not getting any response from him, I frowned. What’s wrong with him? I thought.

“Seunghyun, are you alright?” After asking him, I saw him chuckled and finally heard him say,

“Silly! I should be the one asking you that. And here you are, beating me to it.” He smiled and immediately went beside me grabbing my waist and hugged me tightly.

“Seunghyun.. Can’t.. Breathe..” I hardly said while I was trapped in his arms.

“Dara-ah, welcome back.. We missed you. I missed you!” Upon hearing that, I couldn’t help but smile and hugged him back.

“Thank you. Am I gone for too long?” I asked.

“Neh. Each day’s like a year without you.” He said without letting me go. I was touched by his words and was about to say something when I heard the door opened and saw the others.

As soon as I saw them standing in front of me, I couldn’t help but feel happy and alive. I lifted my head and uttered a simple prayer. Thank you for letting me comeback, I thought.

“Hey guys!” I greeted them as Seunghyun released me.

“Unnie!! Darong!! Noona!!” They called in unison.

I chuckled and smiled. The next thing I knew I was being kissed, hugged and smashed by all of them.

“Yah! All of you, loosen your grip for a bit. You’ll break noona’s bones off.”Seunghyun said.

“Aigoo, Top hyung! It’s because we missed Dara noona so much so don’t be such a spoilsport okay? And for the record, we all saw you hugging her a while ago right? It’s our turn now.” I heard the younger Seunghyun ranted over his hyung while the others laughed on his silliness.

I turned to the older Seunghyun and told him it’s okay.

“Are you sure you’re fine, unnie? Do you want us to call the doctor?”Minzy asked. I patted her head and shook my head.

“You, CL, Bommie-unnie, Seunghyun, Youngbae, Dae, and Seungri, having you all here makes me feel a lot better. I just wish Omma, Durami & Doongie is here.” I said while looking to each and every one of them. 

“Don’t worry noona. I already called Thunder and they’re on their way here.” Seungri informed me.

“Ah, is that so? Thank you, Seungri-ah. I hope I did not bother anyone of you.” I shyly said.

“What are you talking about, Ssantokki? You’re not a bother, alright?! We were so scared when Sajangnim broke the news to us that you had an accident. Don’t do that to us ever again, arasso?!!” Bommie unnie lectured me.

“Neh, unnie. But wait, how long was I asleep?” I furrowed my brows as I asked them.

“You’ve been here for almost two months, noona.” Dae answered.

I was a bit shocked upon hearing that I was here for two months. That long? I thought to myself. I sighed realizing that I wasted a lot of time just lying here in the hospital. But seeing them all here makes my heart contented.

After a few minutes of chatting with them, Omma, Durami and Thunder as well as the other YG Artists including Teddy oppa and Kush oppa came.

It was a long day, I may say, but one of the moments that I’m in my happiest. Knowing that they all care for me is enough to thank God for giving me a second chance in life.

DARA’s POV

Setting foot in front of the YG Building for the first time after the accident made my heart flutter for a bit. It brings me back to memory lane when I was aspiring to become a singer in Korea. Time has flown by so fast, it seems. The Sandara Park who stood up here years ago is now 2ne1’s Fresh Vocal Dara. At the thought, she couldn’t help but sigh. Alongside the fame and success she’s getting is a heart that’s still filled with doubts and insecurities. What saddens her is the thought that she is being loved by fans that doesn’t even know her that much but accepts her for who she is yet there are ones who have fully known her and hurt her still. 

In these hallways, we would wait for each other until our trainings have ended. Jiyong and I would be walking side by side, holding each other’s hands as we trail the path home. These walls have been the witnesses of how our love for each other grew and fell afterwards. Thinking of those made me think that maybe our story is meant to be a part of the past now.

“Noona!” I heard someone called. Turning around, I saw Seunghyun half running towards me.

I frowned at him and asked, “Seunghyun! What are you doing here?” He is supposed to be in the airport now for his GUESS photo shoot in New York with an actress.

“I just dropped by before heading to the airport.” He explained.

“Ah. Why? Do you have an appointment with Sajangnim?”

“Ani.” He shook his head and continued, “Knowing you’ll be back today to resume your activities as 2ne1’s Fresh Vocal and PR Director, I brought you breakfast.” He said while handing me out a paper bag full of foods.

Touched by his sweet gesture, I lifted my right hand, caressed his cheek and smiled. “Thank you.”

“Are you sure you’re going to be fine?” He worriedly asked.

“Of course, I do. Now go ahead, arasso?! You wouldn’t want a beautiful actress keep waiting for you in the airport.” She chuckled.

“Aigoo, noona. She’s not even my type.” He defended himself.

“Arasso, arasso.” I playfully said. “Take care of yourself there, Seunghyun.

“Neh. See you in a few days, noona! Let’s eat together when I come back.”

I nodded and waved him goodbye. After I was discharged to the hospital, Seunghyun has become a constant visitor in our house since Sajangnim gave me two weeks to rest. He may not know it but I’m very much thankful having him around. Although I’m his noona, he acts as if he’s a big brother I can always rely on.
