Jaeseop POV

Heaving a sigh I sat down at one of the benches in the mall. ‘Why did I think that this was a good idea again?’

“Because you wish to spend some quality time with your one and only loveable baby brother,” Jongdae said as he plopped down beside me.

“How did you-”

“Oh, your aura is like everywhere right now. It’s been like that for what the pass three shops we’ve been to.”

“Why are you torturing me?”

“Well that’s what you get for trying to be me this morning. Being carefree is not as easy as it seems huh?”

“Ugh I hate you.”

“Love you too. Now how about we go by that book store you’ve been eyeing at after a quick stop at the café.”

“Alright- Wait how did you know-”

“You’re also easy to read as a brother,” he said as we both made our way into the café Jongdae worked at. “You know for a psychology major you are not that bright, and that’s coming from me.”

“Hey at least appreciate me for buying you all this stuff.”

“Fine.” Turning around to the counter he was greeted by a new face and Hyoyeon standing in her I’m-the-boss-mode. “Hi noona. I see that you’re torturing the newbies.”

“I’m not ‘torturing’. I’m just ‘mentoring with discipline’. Hi Jaeseop oppa.”

“Hi, Hyo. So can we have one Café Americano and one vanilla latte.”

“Oh, and a chocolate muffin to go, Jeongkook.”

At the sound of his name the newbie shot Jongdae a very surprise look. Even Hyoyeon seemed shock.  “H-h-how did you know my name?”

“Some would say that I’m psychic,” he replied with one of his mischievous kittenish smile. “I’m kidding. I saw your résumé on the manager’s desk before I left yesterday.”

Clearing my throat I took out my wallet as I said, “All right everybody, we got to keep the line moving, how much would that be?”

“That will be $10.25, sir.” Paying for the drinks and the muffin I practically dragged Jongdae to an empty table. After sitting down I lean forward and whispered harshly at him, “What were you thinking?”

“Well you did it this morning and you did tell me to let loose. I’m just following orders and embracing what I seem to have left behind in the past.”

“I didn’t mean for you to take it this far.” Letting out a sigh I continued, “I guess it is my fault.”

“Hey don’t take all the credit,” he said as the waitress came to the table with the drinks. “Thank you.” As she left the table, Jongdae seem to be watching her every step. ‘Oh no,’ I thought. “What do you think you’re doing now?”

“Just a quick scan. Her energy practically attack me.”

“So what happen? What did you see?”

“Her name is Nam Jihyun, 22-years-old, a new trainee here, average family, college student…”

“Okay but how does that have to do with her sudden energy spike?”

“If you look at the bottom of your mug you should see a sticky note with a set of numbers.” Finally looking down from the waitress he picked up his latte and drank it with satisfaction prominent in his eyes. Rolling my eyes I pick up my cup and look at the bottom to find the exact note he was talking about. Turning my gaze towards the waitress, Jihyun, I saw her give me a seductive wink before resuming with her work. “So do I get a prize?”

“Yes, stop doing that.” Getting a scoff in return they both continue drinking in a comfortable silence until they finish and got up to go.

“Aren’t you going to take her number?” he asks me as we walk to the counter to get the chocolate muffin.

“Nah I have a full life already, I don’t need any distraction.”

“What do you mean full?”

“You. You are a hassle enough to deal with. Now can we go to that book store?”

“Fine. Bye Hyo noona! Bye Jeongkookie! Bye Jihyun-shi!”

“Can you be any more embarrassing?”

“Yes,” he said. It seem like fate was a funny bastard as some tall dude with blond hair collided into Jongdae. Good thing I had all the shopping bag or else it would’ve fallen. “HEY! Watch where you’re goi- Kris?”

“Chen?” the guy, Kris, said.

“What are you doing here?”

“My family and I just moved here about two weeks ago.”

“Really where?”

Before that Kris guy could answer, I let out a loud cough to remind them of my presents. Looking up from their conversation they finally notice my presence there. “Oh right. Kris, this is my older brother Jaeseop. Hyung, this is my friend from China, Kris.”

“Well it’s nice to meet you but I can see that you’re busy so I’ll see you later then.”

“Yeah, see you later, Kris-shi. Come on Chen.” I smirked as I saw his annoyed face.

“See you around Kris. Let’s go hyung,” he smiled at Kris before he practically drags me towards our intended destination. I couldn’t help but to laugh at his cute little display. ‘Someone seems smitten.’

Jongdae POV

As we walk towards the book shop, I couldn’t help but notice my little flash when I bump into Kris earlier. It was brief, but it was there. I took some of my shopping bag from Jaeseop hyung to lighten his load, and then I went to one of the secluded part of the store where I knew nobody will catch me.

Setting down the bags I check one more time if the close was clear and that there was no camera insight. Deeming it ok I closed my eyes as chanted, “Revelabunt in visione, revelabunt in visione, revelabunt in visione…”

I soon trailed of as I saw something. It was a dark hallway with a light on the other side. Then I heard it again. “ hoc key…” And just like that it all ended. Shaking out of my stupor I picked up my bags and walk towards the front to the checkout area where Jaeseop hyung was waiting.

“What took you so long?”

“Uh… I uh… I found a book,” I said as I put my hand behind my back and snap my fingers. And just like that a book came flying into my hand from the shelf next to me.

“Really?” he obviously didn’t believe me.

Holding up the book to show him the book that I ‘found’, it turned out to be a Harry Potter book. Looking at me with a disbelieving expression, he asked again, “Really?”

“Believe or not but yes. I actually appreciate a good fantasy book.”

“Fine, I’m not here to judge.”

As we’re checking out I realized that my dream last night must have been a vision and my recent flash just backs up that theory. I decided to tell Jaeseop hyung atfter dinner tonight.
