“Later noonas,” I call to Jihyun and Hyoyeon. As I promise earlier, I stayed behind the counter getting ready to clean up the café. It didn’t take long before I finish and lock the doors. The mall was just starting to close up, so it made me feel a little safe after earlier fiasco. Making my way to the elevator in the garage, I kept thinking of that monster or creature or whatever it was. I check my phone and found nothing from hyung. ‘He must really be busy,’ I thought.

Walking around the empty garage, I made my way to my car. I just put the key in to open the door when something jumped on me. “Oh, .” During my frantic shaking, I manage to push the thing off me. Looking down at it I saw a rat scurrying off. Scoffing at the creature I got into the car and drove out of the parking garage and to the grocery store real quickly.

It didn’t take long before I got everything I need and made my way home. I quickly made my way inside and put away the grocery. I just finish putting everything in their designated spots when I heard some creaking noises upstairs.

'Oh, no, not this time. I’m ready for you now,' I thought. I quickly made my way into the hallway leading to the staircase. I manage to grab ahold of a small candle on the way up. Making my way around the second floor I didn’t find anything in any of the rooms. I then heard some creaking on the stairs leading to the attic.

Creeping after it I followed it until I was behind the door leading to the attic. The door was slightly open ajar, so I could see whatever the thing is doing. I first couldn’t see anything until I saw the same shadowy thing that ambushed me. I quickly devised a quick plan and waited for the right time. Once its back was turned towards me, I barged into the room and flicked my wrist, telekinetically pushing him down to the ground face first.

“Aveho!” I yelled as I swung my hand. The black energy removed itself immediately, leaving behind a shirtless man in its wake. “Who are you?” I demanded as I step closer. All I got was a grunt in reply to my question. “Fine, then I’ll make you talk.” Snapping my fingers I lit the candle to life as I muttered a quick incantation. “Ignis, super vos ardebit.”

I watch as he arch his back in pain, his veins glowing a bright red-orange from my candle’s fire. “You will tell why you’re here, or I’ll make sure that this time I won’t miss.” Again he stayed silent. “Fine, exurom.”

He howled with great pain as the fire in his veins intensified. I continued to walk towards him when I notice a sort of branding on his left arm. It look a lot like a cross with a circle beneath it, and at the top of the cross it seem to split into a fork like thing.

“What is that branding on your arm?” I demanded, trying to get at least something out of him. Glaring at his lack of response, I repeated, “Exurom.”

“I need answer you creep. Who are you? What do you want?” I cried out, finally reaching my breaking point. “If you don’t answer me now, I won’t hesitate to take your life. Nobody breaks into my house and not feel my wrath.” Inhaling deeply, I uttered out, “Extingue flammas exstinguere vita sua.”

I was about to blow out the candle when I him yell out, “PERCUTIO!” I didn’t have time to realize what he was doing until I felt a painful shocking sensation coursing throughout my body. It felt like it was an eternity before it was over. I fell to the ground in great pain, I could barely move.

Through my current state of vision, I couldn’t make out much except for the mysterious man walking up to my fallen candle. “Cesco,” he muttered. He then left me alone as the candle fire grew into a wildfire. I groan as I tried to move, my entire body was aching from the electricity.

I then started coughing as the only air supply I could receive was the smoke coming from the growing fire. ‘Somebody save me please,’ I thought to myself. ‘Jaeseop hyung? Kris? Somebody? Anybody? Please save me.’ Everything soon disappears from my sight, and I fell into a world of eternal darkness.
