I know it's really been awhile and I apologize for that. First I just moved to a new country and had to settle things with school and work and then when everything else was settled; I forgot I didn't bring my laptop so I've only been writing using my phone. So from today until who knows when, I'll be only uploading using my phone. The format will change and for that I apologize. Please forgive me and don't get tired of my MIAs but I will try my best to upload as soon as I can hahaha so anyway here you go...

A loud ringing of my phone interrupted mine and jessica’s comfortable silence. 

“Let it ring.” She said pulling me back towards her body. 

“Could be important.” In my line of work, every phone call is important. It could be a call from the E.R calling me for emergencies or from the ward asking for interventions for my patients. So instead of succumbing to my fiancée’s cozy chest, I lazily picked up my phone. 

“Ward nurse” it says. I heard Jessica groan in annoyance, she probably read the caller too. 

“What do they want? You’re on leave!” 

“I am but I still have patients. They're just probably asking for an opinion.” I said before picking up the call. “Hello.”

“Good morning Dr. Hwang, this is Yerin from the cardiology ward. Regarding patient Kim EunJung, 9 years old.” I grew alarmed as I heard the name. She has been my patient for about a year now and she recently has been admitted due to failing heart. I gulped as I wait for her to continue. “Doctor, the Heart center has just called they informed as that they have a donor and she’s the next on the list. They're transporting the organ as we speak.” 

“What?” I asked in delight. “Really?” I was incredibly happy to hear the news. The family has been waiting for a long time for this. 

“Who's gonna do the operation?” She's already prepped for months now, taking anti rejection drugs so that when the opportunity arises, we could operate on her as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I won't be able to operate on her for I am leaving later tonight for a flight going to the states. 

“Ah that’s why I'm calling doctor.” She said hesitantly. “I've talked to Dr. Lee and she said she’ll be here to check on the patient.” 

Doctor Lee is my senior in cardiology department so I felt relieved for I know my patient is in good hands. 

“But doctor, the relatives and the patient are requesting for your presence. Actually, they want YOU to operate on her.” 

“Have you explained?”

“Yes Doctor. But they are still asking for you.” 

“I’ll be there in an hour.” 

After I hang the phone, I heard Jessica groan. I couldn't help but just laugh at her. 

“I’m sorry.” I can only say before pulling her hand to kiss the back of her hand. 

“Don't be. It's fine.” 

“It's not.I know you're trying to be understanding. I thank you very much for that.” I turned around her arm to kiss her on the lips. 

I saw her bright smile the moment we parted. 

“It's okay, really. Besides I get rewards when I am understanding.” She smirked at me mischievously. 

“Just one round.” I gave in. 

“Of course. One for you. One for me.”

“I thought I will be rewarding you?” 

“I need to reward you as well. You make me proud every day Doctor.” That being said, she crashed her lips on mine. 

It has become one of the many reasons why i love doing my duty as a doctor. Everytime Jessica tells me how proud she is of what I do, my heart becomes a mess. I never got used to her making my heart flutter. I like the feeling. It makes me love what I am doing more than I already do.

“Good morning Doctor Hwang!” Yerin greeted me with a bright smile. “Oh! Good morning Ms. Jessica.” 

“Good morning Yerin” Jessica greeted back with a smile.

“I am sorry to have called you hours away from your flight.” 

“It's not your fault. Don't worry about it. I’ll have to go and endorse my patients as well.” I smiled at her. “Let me see her chart.” She handed the tablet for me to see the information. 

“Doctor Hwang!” Mrs. Kim’s voice resonated around the hall it caused everyone to turn their heads towards her. “I’m sorry” she apologized. 

“Mrs. Kim, I've heard the good news. Congratulations.” She gave me a big tight hug. 

“Thank you Doctor. Thank you very much.”  She kept repeating with glistening eyes. “But Doctor Hwang, I can only trust you with my daughter’s life.” I felt touched and at the same time worried when she said that. 

“Mrs. Kim, Dr. Lee is my senior doctor. She is good at what she does. You can trust her.” I told her. 

“But you are her doctor. You know her more than anyone else. So please
