Affiliation IV
Night and DayAffiliation:
It was predetermined, yet remained unknown until it willingly unveiled itself. This was the first, major predicament faced by the two households.
Upon accepting the gene, one would become a hybrid, vampire or werewolf. However, what do these classifications mean?
Hybrids:
These are a mixture of vampire and werewolf. These humanoid creatures are weaker than vampires and werewolves, though stronger and faster than humans. However, due to there only being slight physical changes, they are referred to as the unspecialized.
They do eat 'human' meals, and are far more common. That is, hybrids are usually the result after the change.
Immortal.
Vampires:
Equally as strong as the werewolves, they have distinct characteristics. The protrusion of their fangs may be controlled. Fangs are usually only exhibited when feeding, or after provocation. Faster and stronger than hybrids, though they remain on the same level in the hierarchy.
Their diet comprises of mostly liquid or gelatinous human foods (such as soups and puddings). These are easier to ingest for them.
There are not many vampires in the kingdom of the Nochelas.
Immortal.
Werewolves:
Equally as strong as the vampires, they too possess distinct characteristics. Shifting into a lycanthrope is only possible for purebreds. Regular werewolves may trigger intense adrenaline rushes and enlarged muscles, though. They are quicker and stronger than hybrids, though they too remain on the same level in the hierarchy.
Their diet consists primarily of meat. There are not many werwolves in the kingdom of the Diarias.
Immortal.
Purebreds:
Purebreds may be either vampires or werewolves. They possess similar characteristics, except that purebreds are the strongest, most agile, and also possess special abilities.
Purebred vampires feast occasionally on blood, for 'human' food was not satiating.
Purebred werewolves could shift at will.
These were the rarest and their survival was not guaranteed. Thus, a purebred was accepted into the respective families' nobility approximately every 200 years. Only purebreds were qualified to be nobles.
This was the predicament; the families' growth was never certain, and difficult to be maintained.
Woohoo~ Final update today. Thanks a million times once more to my readers~ I wish you guys all the best and a splendid day!
I'm simply laying some more foundation for the story and characters. I promise the plot will pick up soon. I won't be able to update until Monday though.
