Chapter 20
Different DestiniesTwo people were walking down on the empty street, with one of them struggling to help other to walk steadily. “Urgh… I swear, you’re heavier than my sister,” Chanyeol grunted under his breath as he was supporting Haeri to walk straight.
“No… you can’t touch him, you . He’s mine!” she slurred, pulling Chanyeol’s hair roughly. “Ow… ow! I’m not that person who you’re thinking I am!” he exclaimed, releasing himself from her strong grip after squirming and shaking his head rapidly.
“Pfft, I know very well what two-faced- you are!” Well, she sure was drunk... Now, Chanyeol understood finally her friend’s condition, and why she refused to accompany Haeri.
With lots of efforts, the both of them reached Chanyeol’s car. He carefully made her sit on the backseat of his car before making his way to the drivers’ seat. He started his car’s engine and stepped on the accelerator, but not before releasing a tired sigh.
Just as he was about to start driving, Chanyeol realized something. “Oh , I don’t know where she lives...” He messed his hair in frustration. Looking at Haeri from the from rear mirror, he noticed that there were some movements from her which signalled that she was still awake. Therefore, he decided to try questioning her, “Hey, Haeri, can you tell me your address?”
Silence answered him in return. He fully turned to look at her, shaking her a bit, which made her open her eyes, “Thank god you’re still awake... Now, can you tell me where you live?”
“Me?” she pointed at herself and giggled like a toddler, “I live in Suho’s heart~” Chanyeol looked at her, baffled by her response. “She’s totally wasted...,” he sighed, shaking his head.
He glanced at her purse at the corner of his car. Something popped up in his mind, so he grabbed the object and fished out her mobile phone. But to his dismay, her phone needed a password in order to be unlocked.
“Ugh... what now?” He slumped in the seat. It wouldn't be appropriate for him to bring her at his place when he's living alone, and he only knows Daehyun. And the Suho she was talking about... he doesn't even know him!
Then, a memory strck Chnyeol's mind, causing him to smile brightly. “How could I forget that important connection...," he murmered to himself, making a call with his phone.
The living room of the dorm was in chaos, and no need to mention, a complete mess. And, well... the boys were busy playing video games. It was past midnight, and even after the hectic schedule, they were still energetic to make loud noises and play games.
“What? ‘I want ramen’, ’And I want sandwich!’ What am I? Your maid?” Minhee was grumbling inside the kitchen as she scrunched up her nose, stirring the pot of ramen. She was worn out after struggling the whole day, running around with these boys. All she wanted was to lay down on her bed and take a long tour to her dreamland, but God wasn’t on her side...
So while cursing those boys, she prepared them something to eat.
“Yah!” Well, he was the only thing left to ruin her already ruined day completely... Even after that apologizing session, his attitude towards her remained the same, and only the difference was that he did not pick childish fights with her anymore.
“What?” she snapped back at him, frowning. “Your little friend here is disturbing me,” he held up her cell phone. She quickly dashed towards him and snatched the device from his hands away. And as soon as it was in her hand, the object started ringing.
“Oh, oppa? Why are you calling so late?” Minhee blinked when she saw the cller's ID, before speaking to her brother on the other line. Daehyun was standing there, not-really eavesdropping her conversation because she wasn't hiding either. Minhee glared at him when she found out that he was still standing there.
Holding his hands up, Daehyun stepped backwards. “Where are you? Are you still with those boys?” Chanyeol questioned hastily. “Yeah, I’m still there. Why? Is something wrong?” she asked back, seating on the chair near kitchen counter.
“So you’re with Haeri’s boyfriend, right? Can you pass phone to him?” She frowned, "For what?"
"Don't ask questions, just do as I say. Now, hurry!"
“Okay, wait a little,” she jumped off the chair and made her way to the living room.
But Minhee almost got heart attack when she saw th
