Chapter 12
Different Destinies
After a week…
Haeri was busy with some paper work. When the clock strikes 5PM, she was interrupted with a knock on the door. She lifted her head to see the intruder, and Gyuon poked her head from door with mischievous smile on her face.
“Your ‘boyfriend’ is waiting for you down stairs.” She emphasised the certain word with a teasing tone.
Heari looks down to the work which was left, she sighs and starts to pack her stuff which was scatter in whole room. “Did he call you or something to deliver his message?” she asks, while picking up some books here and there.
“Oh no, there’s no need for that now, since his presence near this building informs me his arrival like wild fire.” Gyuon snorts at the end of her own sentence.
Haeri reaches to the switch board to shut everything off and turns to her friend, who is still standing near door, giving her a nod to signal her to leave with together. “Good, let’s just go now before this place attracts anymore crowds, hmm?”
After bidding goodbye to Gyuon, Haeri exits the building from the back door, as per the security have informed her. Just as she closed the door behind her, a figure fashionably leaning against the car hood catches her attention. She starts to walk towards that person as he turns his head to her direction when he heard the tacking of heels.
“Hey, you came...” There was still a certain amount of awkwardness lingering between them.
She steps forward and wraps her arms around his neck, giving him a warm embrace. Daehyun quickly caught her actions and responds to her by wrapping his arms around her waist securely.
“Hey...” She whispers in his ears and as her breath tickled his neck, he felt goosebumps because of that sensation. She loosened-up a bit as they separated from each other and starts to walk to the car behind them.
“Where to, today?” She asks, fastening her seatbelt. Daehyun did the same and started the car. As they reached to the main streets of the Seoul, he turns to Haeri, casting her a sorry look. “Don’t start with this again now, will you?” She said, quite irritated. “Is there still someone still following us? Now?” He glanced at the rare mirror to look back, but saw nobody.
“No coast is clear today.” She sighs in relief and turns to the window, leaning her head there. “I’m still sorry for so much causing trouble to you...,” he whispered quietly.
“Don’t be, we’ve to get use to it for a while.” Ouch. Daehyun decides to keep that path away for a while. There was no chit-chatting in between them, like it used to be. The situation was practically ed up.
He parks the car near one café and got off from the vehicle to open the door for Haeri. “Thank you,” she said quietly, as Daehyun took her hand in his. Murmurs started immediately, as the couple starts to walk to crowd.
“Isn’t that Jung Daehyun?”
“Whose that with our oppa?”
“Look, that two-timer still has courage to go in public!”
It really hurts a lot, when it wasn’t even their fault, but they still had the fans supporting them and B.A.P.
“Omo, they look cute together.”
“Oppa fighting! Be strong.”
“Oppa Saranghaeyo!”
“Unnie, you are so beautiful!”
Even if the supporters were small in numbers, they still held importance in their hearts. Some old people were giving them irritating looks as the fans were making unwanted noise in the public area.
The couple smiled at every person who was giving them compliments, and ignored those who were bad mouthing them.
Daehyun grabs the doors knob and twists it to open the door “ Ladies first.” She laughs at his cliché line.
“Since when?” She asks teasingly, but nevertheless, enters first. However, she stops when she recognized the fancy hotel they were at. It was the hotel of Do Kyungsoo - Suho’s friend - her close oppa whom she knows very well. “Hey, can we go somewhere else?” She turns around abruptly, causing the man behind her to be startled.
“Oh..? Why? I thought you like this place, since you always talk about it...”
