[EXTREMELY IMPORTANT A/N AT THE END.]

Eun Ah crossed her arms against her chest and glared at Yongguk who stood across the room, talking to a nurse who had all but drooled all over him. She was pretty sure that she wasn't even listening to what Yongguk was asking her and was just mooning over him like he was some Greek god.

He, on the other hand, just smiled politely at her while scanning the forms about her injuries.

Eun Ah tried to act mature but she couldn't help but pout when she saw the nurse stare at her husband with stars in her eyes. They had only been together for a day and she was already getting protective.

There was no way that the three open buttons on her uniform were regulation.

Isn't it, like, every guy's fantasy to have a check up with a hot nurse?

She watched with narrowed eyes as Yongguk nodded and gave her a bow and how the woman's hand lingered just a bit too long on his arm.

If Eun Ah knew she would get this petty, she'd have suggest an all male staff.

Then again, she doubted that Yongguk would be thrilled with that.

She looked to the side and found herself staring into the mirror in the bathroom. She lifted her hand and gently traced the leathery bruise on her eye. The doctor said that the 'leathery-ness' would go down until it was just a flat scar.

She glanced back up at the nurse who didn't have a hair out of place.

Why are all the nurses here so pretty? Why couldn't I get assigned someone like Halmoni? Old ladies love me.

She huffed and looked away when Yongguk turned, his eyes still on the documents, and walked over to her.

He glimpsed up at her and stopped, mid step, when he saw her tensed jaw and stony eyes facing away. Any other guy would be nervous that their wife looked that pissed, but it just made a fire burn in the pit of his stomach.

He wondered if it was a bad thing that he thought she looked hot when she was peeved.

There was just something about the way she looked when she snapped at someone or when someone made her mad that just attracted him to her.

His smile faded when he saw the shaky look in her eye and how she kept swallowing her spit. He knew her well enough to know that anger wasn't the only thing behind her eyes, and at that moment, she almost looked insecure.

"What's wrong?" He asked as he approached her bed, sitting on the end, to get a better look at her.

Eun Ah wordlessly shook her head while she busied herself with the fresh daisies that sat on the bedside table.

He raised a brow and cupped her cheek to turn her face to meet his eyes. She blinked at him a few times before a frown appeared.

"Love, I'm going to need you to talk to me because I don’t think I can read that pretty little mind of yours as well as you think."

Eun Ah let out a sigh and looked at her fingers, "Did you know that, that was like the sixth nurse that's hit on you in the last 3 hours?"

Yongguk let go of her face and tilted his head. "She wasn't hitting on me."

Eun Ah threw her hands up in exasperation, "Of course she was! Just because she didn't ask for your number didn't mean she wasn't checking you out! She was obviously into you. Ugh, guys are so dense sometimes!"

"What are you talking about?" He asked incredulously not understanding her concern.

"She basically wanted to jump you right then and there. You'd think she had the common courtesy to act professional especially in front of someone's wife. I mean, it's obvious that you're taken, so what does she think is going to happen between you two?"

She grunted inwardly when she heard how much of a spoiled, whiny brat she was being. She wasn't used to acting like this, but she couldn't help but feel ticked off.

Yongguk blinked before he squinted his eyes at her. "Are you getting jealous?"

Eun Ah scoffed and turned away. "Shut up and no I'm not."

She felt tears well in her eyes when she felt the plaster on her right hand. The doctor said that the stitches were going to leave scars and so would the bullet wound.

Not to mention the permanent stunner on her eye.

Yongguk pulled his body over to prop it up behind her, settling her between his legs and leaned down and kissed the side of her neck as she slouched against his chest.

"Why are you crying, love?" He whispered gently as he moved closer to her so that he could wrap his arms around her crossed ones, leaning them both against the headboard..

Eun Ah glared at the doors, through her tears and tried to them back in. She felt like a 13  year old crying over not getting her way. She desperately wished that it was Yongmi witnessing her embarrassment and not Yongguk.

She was more mature than this and she didn't want him to see this side of her.

"I'm not crying." She said stubbornly as tears slowly dripped down her face.

Yongguk smiled softly and rolled over her without giving her a chance to recover and slammed his lips aggressively against hers, trying to distract her from the thoughts running through her head.

It took a millisecond before her fingers were tugging at his hair and her lips moving just as violently as his.  She let out a drawled moan that had him shivering from the inside out as he gripped onto her tighter, trying to make sure that she felt his presence.

That she could feel him on her and how much he thrived off of her.

Yongguk did his best to focus on the task at hand and not get too lost into her that he couldn't get his point across.

When he was positive that her mind was long gone, he started speaking through each kiss.

"Why." Kiss "Are." Kiss. "You." Kiss. "Crying?" Kiss.

Unable to comprehend her thoughts, Eun Ah blurted out the first thing that came to mind against his lips.

"I'm not good enough for you."

Yongguk felt his blood run cold and tore away from her like her body was on fire. His stared down at her with wide, shocked eyes as she looked away, panting.

"W-what?"

"Um, I just think that maybe you could do better. Better than me. I'm all scratched up and I have scars and bruises everywhere that won't go away. So--I guess, just seeing a pretty nurse hit on you makes me wonder if you could better."

Yongguk's eyes traced the cut on her face and felt his stomach drop. He had never seen it from her point of view. Her mind wasn't just focused on the physical pain from the cut, it was so much more psychological than that.

Girls were never taught to love their scars or blemishes. Instead, they were taught to cover them up.

In order to look beautiful they needed to look flawless like porcelain. In order to be loved they were supposed to act and look a certain way. But in the world that he was brought up in, scars were a symbol of power, respect and strength.

The body is a canvas and every stretch mark, every bruise, every scar was nothing more than paint, proving to the world that you lived.

The more paint on the canvas, the more life you had experienced.

To Yongguk, Eun Ah had never looked more stunning than she did with that cut on her face and that was the sworn truth.

He saw it as a battle scar, a reminder that he was in love with the strongest woman he had ever met and was lucky enough to have her love him back.

It was the definite truth that it would take a hell of a lot more for him to think she wasn't good enough than a small scar.

He cupped her face and forced her to look at him. Seeing her closed eyes made him want to laugh.

She really was the stupidest woman in the world.

"Yah, pabo, look at me."

Eun Ah bit her lip and opened her eyes to face him. He spoke carefully, every word laden with devotion and eyes that sparkled with honesty.

"I want you. I've always wanted you. No matter what you look like or how to dress or what you do, I will always want you. Nothing and no one will change that. If anything, that scar makes me love you even more and that's only one of the things abo
