Chapter Seven

Not So Lonely Island

Chapter Seven

"What if they come over to this side of the island? What if they try to kill us? What if they are planning to kill—"

She gasped as Yuri grabbed her shoulders and stared into her eyes, "Listen to me very closely, Jessica," she started out and Jessica gulped, "We are not going to die, okay?"

Yuri raised her eyebrows in emphasis, "I will do everything I can to protect both of us. If they knew we are here, they'd already have our heads,"

Jessica cringed at the thought, "But we're still alive, Jessica," Yuri's grip on Jessica's shoulders loosened.

"And we'll live to see the day where a rescue boat comes to this island and picks us up. Got it?"

Jessica blinked twice.

"Got it?" Yuri repeated, now lightly cupping Jessica's cheek with her right hand.

The blonde girl nodded slowly as Yuri's thumb gently caressed her soft skin. Yuri smiled, "Good, now go to sleep, I'll take first shift," But Jessica didn't move after that. Their eyes were still locked onto each other's.

"Jessica?" Yuri questioned, her voice becoming smaller and smaller with each syllable. Yuri's face was only illuminated by the red-orange light the fire in the corner gave off.

Jessica couldn't help but think about the way Yuri had treated her when they first met up until now. Yuri's always been caring towards her, but she showed her care towards Jessica more and more.

"What is it?" Yuri asked, furrowing her eyebrows, lowering her hand from Jessica's cheek. Realizing that she was gawking at Yuri, Jessica's cheek warmed up and she lifted her hand, grabbing hold of Yuri's, "Thank you," she mumbled before biting down on her lower lip.

"Thank you for.. you know.. protecting me and stuff," Jessica muttered, interlocking her fingers with Yuri's.

The younger girl let out a grin, "You've done me some good as well, you know?"

Moving her body to the side, Jessica's head landed on Yuri's shoulder, "Still. Thank you,"

"You're welcome," Yuri turned her head to the side and looked down at Jessica, who looked back up with twinkling eyes, "We're going to make it out of this, alright?" she squeezed Jessica's hand, "I'll make sure of it,"

Jessica used her free hand and gently tugged on Yuri's chin before placing her lips on Yuri's for half a second, leaning out quickly, "I believe you," she whispered.

"Let's make a real door," Yuri stated as she trudged onto the beach with a large log with her. Jessica nodded, "Yeah, it'll be better than those damn leaves,"

"Those damn leaves were a lot of work, you know?" Yuri retorted, dropping the log onto the sand, "And thanks for helping me," she added in sarcastically.

"You're welcome," Jessica giggled, walking closer, "So how are we going to make the door?"

"With wood,"

"Stop being so damn sarcastic," Jessica chided, reaching up and knuckling Yuri's forehead. Yuri gave a light chuckle and beagn to work on the door. Along with Jessica's supervision, of course.

Jessica squealed as she felt Yuri pick her up, "Hey! Don't! It's cold!" Jessica wrapped her legs around Yuri's waist, holding on for dear life as Yuri giggled, "What? It's blazing outside, Jessica,"

"Yuri, don't you dare throw me–" Yuri threw her into the water. Jessica immediately resurfaced and glared at Yuri, rapidly swimming after the girl who just threw her into the salty ocean,

And for that moment, for just that moment, the two seemed to forget about what they had found yesterday evening at the other side of the forest.

"There. Finished," Yuri smiled widely as she stared at the hut, that no longer looked like a hut, but a small house, complete with a working door.

"We did good," Jessica stated, standing next to Yuri, scanning the small house up and down.

"We?" Yuri looked down, quirking an eyebrow.

"Yeah, we," Jessica emphasized.

Yuri looked away and opened the door, "Whatever you say," she smiled, watching as Jessica walked in the door before she herself went inside.

"Ouch," Yuri yelped as the sharp rock jabbed her finger. Jessica looked up from the fire she was tending to and rushed over, "What happened?"

"What does it look like happened?"

Jessica frowned as she immediately began to on the wound. Yuri widened her eyes, "What are you doing?"

"Stopping the blood," Jessica mumbled, lips still stuck on Yuri's finger. Yuri unconciously thought about Jessica's tongue caressing her skin and she pulled away, "It's.. It's fine. It doesn't hurt much,"

"Are you sure?"

Yuri nodded, "Yeah, I'm okay,"

"What the hell are you doing anyways?"

"Making weapons," Yuri replied, putting her finger into her own mouth and on the blood.

"For.." Jessica trailed off, hinting about the people on the other side of the island.

Yuri gave a stiff nod, "Yeah,"

"Sleep, Jessica," Yuri ordered, lightly pushing Jessica onto the floor, "Sleep," she pointed her finger to Jessica, who pouted at her. Reaching up, Jesscai pulled on Yuri's finger and made the girl sit next to her, "You sleep too,"

"But I have to—"

Jessica hugged Yuri's waist tightly, stopping the girl form talking any more, "Sleep," she whispered.

"Jessica, I need to—"

Yuri felt Jessica's legs entangle with her own, "Yuri," she trailed off with a warning tone.

"Seriously, I—"

Jessica planted her lips on Yuri's before she leaned out from the abrupt kiss she'd given, "Stop talking, Yuri,"

"Would you stop doing that?"

"Doing what?" Jessica replied.

Yuri let out a defeated breath, "Nothing. Let's sleep,"

Jessica smiled and let her face rest in between the crook of Yuri's neck and Yuri's arm found it's way to Jessica's body, pulling the girl closer.

"Jessica! Wake up!" Yuri shook the girl who was trembling in her sleep, weeping with tears trailing down her face. Jessica's eyes opened instantly. She looked at Yuri, who had worry evident all over her face.

"They.. I had a dream.. We.. Our heads," Jessica mumbled out words, unable to form a sentence as a sob escaped her lips.

"Oh, Jessica," Yuri frowned, pulling Jessica into a tight hug, one hand on Jessica's waist and the other on the back of Jessica's head as Jessica cried into her chest.

Yuri laid back and let Jessica lay ontop of her as she listened to Jessica mumble incoherent words against her skin. Yuri closed her eyes as she hugged the trembling figure in her eyes. Jessica sniffed, moving her face from Yuri's chest, looking down at the girl, "That won't happen, will it?" she asked, reminding Yuri of a small, innocent child.

Wiping away a couple of tears with her thumb, Yuri shook her head, "It won't happen. We won't die. At least, not yet," Yuri confirmed with upmost certainty. Jessica stared at Yuri, her nose, her eyes, her cheekbones, and most importantly, her lips.

Moving her hand, Jessica curled it Yuri's nape and pulled the girl closer. By now, Jessica's tears had dried and her eyes were filled with something else instead of tears.

Her breath hitched at Jessica's bold action, lips grazing the older girl's. Yuri let her finger run over Jessica's cheekbone before capturing the girl's lips.

Slowly and gently, the two's lips pulled and tugged at each other's, teeth nibbling on lips, tongues massaging the other's, sighs and light breaths.

With no hurry, Yuri rolled their positions so she was on top, her right leg between Jessica's legs and her left leg on the outside. Jessica pulled Yuri even closer than they already were, molding their bodies together.

The fact that they were both girls slipped their minds. They didn't care.

Their heads bobbed back and forth in an easy pattern, taking breaths between the quick seconds their lips would disconnect before going back at it again, hands on her waist, hands around her neck, fingers curled underneath her tanktop, fingers tugging at the roots of her hair.

There was no need to be hasty, they seemed to have all the time in the world.

And finally, when they did lean out, when their eyes fluttered open at the same time, when they leaned their forehead against eachothers, they smiled at the same time, both showing off their white teeth. A small giggle escape Jessica's lips and Yuri rubbed their noses together in an affectionate manner.

There was obviously a type of bond between them that nothing can break. The kiss had sealed it.

"Go to bed now, Jessica," Yuri whispered, pecking the girl's lips one more time before turning and laying on her back. Jessica turned to her side and rested her head on Yuri's chest.

Jessica smile and gave a chaste kiss to Yuri's chin, "Good night,"

Placing an arm around Jessica's shoulder, Yuri grinned, "Good night,"
