Chapter Fifteen

"Where are you going?" Jessica jumped and cursed under her breath when she realized she'd been caught trying to sneak out of the mansion. She turned with a blank expression on her face, seeing one of the maids blinking at her.

"I'm not going anywhere far. Just down to the store for a snack."

"We have snacks here, Ms. Jung." The maid pointed to the direction of the kitchen, "Would you like me to get one for you?"

"No, no thank you." Jessica tried her hardest not to snap at the innocent maid, "I'll be right back." She needed air, she needed to not be locked in her room like she had been for the past few days. She needed to not cry herself to sleep. She needed Yuri.

She escaped out the front door with a thin sweater on.

She kind of regretted not bringing a thicker coat because it was cold, and she wasn't quite fond of the cold. Her mind wandered back to the nights when Yuri would hug her close whenever she was cold. She shook her head immediately, she can't think like that.

Yuri was with Yujee now, not with her.

A thought made Jessica stop dead in her tracks.

Had Yuri ever been her's in the first place?

Sure, they had slept together, they had kissed, they had done everything a couple would do, but what else was there? Jessica felt the tears building up in her eyes and she blinked them away, staring down at the brightly illuminated streets. She could see the convience store she planned on visiting from there.

She furrowed her eyebrows as she got closer and realized that there's a small crowd there.

Upon entering the store, all eyes her and hushed whispers could be heard.

"They're both here."

"Both of them are here, I can't believe this."

"Is this fate?"

And, Jessica's heart dropped to the bottom of her stomach when she looked through the crowd and saw the one person she'd been longing for. Yuri.

opened in shock and she stared at all the faces looking between the two of them.

"Was this planned?" One person asked, "Or coincidence?"

Without another word, Jessica promptly her heels and exited the store. She heard rushed footsteps following her and felt a familiar touch on her wrist.

"Sica- I mean- Jessica."

The way Yuri called her 'Jessica' instead of 'Sica' made the blonde girl cringe internally, her heart clenching. Jessica stopped walking. She looked at the taller girl.

"Hey." was all she said back.

"I haven't.. spoken to you in a while."

Jessica nodded, "Yeah," She agreed, moving some of her hair out of her face, "I heard you're dating Yujee now."

Yuri widened her eyes, "Y-You did?" Jessica nodded again. Yuri spoke softly, "Did.. Who.. Who told you?"

"Yujee." Jessica choked out because Yujee told her, not Yuri. Yuri probably never planned on telling her.

"Oh."

"Yeah.. Congratulations."

Yuri looked between Jessica's eyes, seeing no emotion whatsoever. 

"Thanks."

Jessica puffed up her cheeks and it took all of Yuri's might not to kiss her right then and there.

"I'll get going now. It was nice talking to you, Yuri." Jessica turned quickly before Yuri could get to notice the tears forming at the corner of her eyes.

"Jessica!" Yuri called out and the older girl took a deep breath, quickly blinking to get rid of all the tears.

"Yes?" She turned and saw Yuri doing a light jog towards her.

"We.. We don't talk anymore."

Jessica's breath hitched, "Uhm.. Yeah. I noticed." She lowered her head, tucking her hair behind her ear, something Yuri noticed she'd do whenever she was nervous about something.

"Can we.. change that?"

She's with Yujee now.

"I'm quite busy." Jessica started off, already beginning to regret when she sees Yuri's disappointment. She cursed herself for being so weak around Yuri, "But I guess I'll find time."

Yuri smiled widely, "Really?" Jessica's heart began to beat frantically, "Y-Yeah."

"Okay, cool. You have my number, right?" 

Jessica nodded, "Yeah, yeah I do."

"Alright, I'll let you go on your way. Walk safely, okay?"

"I will." Jessica smiled. Yuri wavedto her, "Text me when you get home. I want to know that you're safe."

Yuri still cared for her.

"Will do. Night, Yuri."

"Night, Sica."

Jessica bit her bottom lip, clicking the send button as she sits in her bed. Almost a second later, Yuri replied.

'I'm glad you made it home safe. Sleep well, Jessica.'

She frowned and paused as she realized what was happening. Yuri, the girl who had unintentionally broken her heart not too long ago, appeared in her life yet again and was mending the broken pieces.

She sighed and decided that it'd be too rude to ignore the text message. She quickly sent one text before sending another one. After sending the second text, Jessica quickly turned her phone off and went to bed.

'You too, Yuri.'

'And, by the way, it's Sica, not Jessica.'

To say the least, it made Yuri smile. A lot.

Yuri came home after a day out with Yujee when she noticed her phone had a couple unread text messages from Jessica.

'You free today?'

There was a twenty minute gap before Jessica sent the next text.

'I'll take that as a no.'

"." Yuri cursed, she totally missed out on spending time with Jessica. She froze. She just had a date with her girlfriend and she was regretting it because of Jessica.

Jessica.

"." Yuri groaned, throwing her body onto the bed, closing her eyes tightly. 

At that moment, she realized that she's really freakin' in love with Jessica Jung.

GASP! Guess who it is? :> Hi, yes, yes! It's Peggy, long time no see, readers! I realized that Gaby was a bit busy and she's been doing really great with helping me out with this story and I have a lot of free time on my hand considering I just had a blizzard so yay! I updated!
