Close To Losing You (Sequel to So Close Yet So Far)

"Sehun-ah, please put the carrots and potatoes in" Byul said as she was finished cutting the vegetables. Sehun nodded and took them from her hands. "They look so cute~" he smiled widely and she had to roll her eyes at his childish behavior. Suddenly, the bell rang and Sojin stopped what she was doing. "Put the salt and pepper in, I'll go open the doors" she said and walked out of the kitchen.

Sehun grabbed the ingredients as Byul walked out of the kitchen to see who was knocking. He heard the sound of the doors knocking and then opening. "Anyeonghaseyo~" he heard. The voice didn't belong to Byul. He was sure. She didn't have such a girly voice. "Who are you", he heard Byul say. He couldn't help but chuckle. Byul was always so cold to others that it sent shivers down his spine.

"Ah, I'm your new neighbor. Nice to meet you, I'm Taehee" she said. Sehun widened his eyes and stopped what he was doing. *What is Taehee doing here?! I have to stop her before she says anything* Seun thought and stood up.

"Why are you here?" Byul asked with an emotionless face and the girl chuckled. "I'm looking for S-" before the girl could finish, Sehun appeared right behind Byul. "B-Byul, I think the soup is ready, go and finish it" Sehun said. "Oh, fine" she said and nodded. She didn't leave without a peek at the girl though. Byul recognized her. It was the girl who sat with Sehun at the restaurant. What surprised her was that she looked very much like Taehyung.

"What are you doing here?!" Sehun asked as Byul was far enough. "Your parents told me to call you home...lunch is ready" she said softly. Sehun let out a heavy sigh and closed his eyes for a while. "You could have called me. No need to come over here" he said and she lightly nodded. "I'm sorry, your mother told me to" she lowered her head. "Just go, I'll be there in a minute" he said and closed the doors before the girl could say anything.

Sehun's behavior was a little rude and cold towards her. But she didn't bother, she knew he was acting like that because he already had a girl. But deep inside he's a good person. She just knew it and was waiting for him.

"Who was that girl?" Asked Byul as she poured the soup into two bowls. "Just someone who my family knows" he lied. Byul sighed and shook her head. She decided to ask directly. No hesitating. "Tell me who she is. Don't lie to me" she turned to face him and put the bowls on the table where Sehun sat. For a moment, Sehun didn't say anything. "S-She's my...fiancé" he said softly and turned to look at the ground.

Right that moment, Byul felt a sharp pain in her heart. It surprised her. She thought all Taehyung said was false. At least she hoped it is. But hearing the truth from him now hurt her. It hurt a lot. Sehun went behind her back and she didn't even have a clue about it. Byul's eyes started to get teary. She didn't cry often. But if she did, it was only because of her loved towards him.

"Fiancé? Y-You didn't tell me" she whispered, trying hard not to let the tear slip. She should have realized from the start that she wasn't supposed to fall so deep for him. But she did. And now she's suffering. She cursed herself for being so weak, so pathetic.

"Byul, I wanted to tell you from the start but I was scared. I was scared that I might loose you" he said, coming over to sit next to Byul whose tears started falling slowly. "I-It's okay. At least you found someone who fits you more" she said to ease the pain. But her words hurt herself even more. She lied to herself just to feel better. But it was making everything worse. She wanted to burst out and cry out loud. But she held herself back a little and only let her tears fall.

"What? No! I don't love her. This marriage, isn't beyond my will. My parents set this to save the company...I didn't want to do it" he tried to explain while looking into her watery eyes. "Sehun, I'm not blaming you. I understand your parent's decision. Just do it" she said, her tears slowly fading.

"But I don't want to do it. I don't want to leave you. I don't want to marry the girl I don't love" he said and hugged her tightly. Byul rested her head on his chest and her tears started to fall again. "Who said you're leaving me. I'll wait, Sehun. Like I did before. I'll wait until my chance comes. Maybe I don't deserve you at all" she sobbed. "No, Byul. You deserve happiness not the suffering I'm bringing you. I'm so sorry to make you wait. I promise I'll diverse as soon as the company's saved. I won't let you wait for too long anymore" he said, pulling back.

"I believe you, Sehun. I do" she said as Sehun wiped her tears with his palms and cupped her cheeks before pecking her lips. The kiss was full of love and Byul wanted it to last forever. She didn't want it to stop because she knew after it, Sehun had to leave. Byul would have to wait for him again. But she didn't mind waiting. As long as she will be able to be with him in the future, she would wait for him even for a thousand years.

"I'm sorry, I have to leave. I promise I'll come over soon" Sehun whispered as he pulled back. "It's okay. I'll wait" she whispered before giving him a small peck on the lips. "I love you" he said. "I love you too" Byul answered and pulled back from the hug. "I'm sorry I could eat the soup with you" Sehun said while standing up. "It's okay" Byul said and walked him to the doors. They looked into each other's eyes for a long while before Sehun walked out of the house.

Just as Byul closed the doors, she leaned on them and slid down. Tears started to form in her eyes again and fell down her cheeks. She cried and couldn't stop. Her heart hurt so much. She couldn't think properly anymore and started crying out loud.

"I'm home, mother, father" Sehun said as he walked into the dining room where everyone was sitting. "Sit down, dear" his mother said and he bowed his head. The whole time, Taehee was talking with Mrs. Oh about some stuff.

"I'm finished, I'll leave first" Sehun said and stood up. However, he was stopped by his mother. "Sit down, I need to talk to you" she said and he sat down. "About your marriage, the wedding will be next week so get ready. I'll help Taehee find the wedding dress while you and father make invitations. Sehun was aback. He didn't expect for the wedding to suddenly turn out this soon.

"And one more thing. You should stop meeting Byul" said Mrs. Oh and sighed.
