"I can't believe you would do that, Nicole! You are so irresponsible!" someone yelled. I woke up to find two girls in my room, bickering at each other.

"My face hurts," I said quietly. This was all it took to shut the two girls up. I got out of bed and looked in the mirror, which reflected back my swollen black eye and bruised nose. I wanted to scream at Nicole, but I realized that would make her cry. And I would be too much like her old boyfriend that hit her.

"Oppa, are you mad at me?"

"Umm, no. It just hurts a little..." I responded, touching my nose.

"You're an idiot, Nicole," Yuri growled. I was completely fed up with Yuri's annoying attitude towards Nicole.

"Yuri, get out of my room! And stop being such a to your cousin! She's had a rough time already," I yelled. Yuri left, expressing no visible emotion except for slamming he door. Nicole only stared at me.

"Why did you do that?"

"Because maybe I want her out of here. I want to talk to you, Nicole," I said, getting closer to her. She looked so nervous, like a lost puppy. "You're beautiful," I told her with a smile. I took her hands in mine, replacing the feel of Hyo Min's fingers with Nicole's.

"Thank you," she answered, blushing. She was beautiful when she blushed.

"I love you."

"But oppa, I punched you for a reason. I don't like you," she responded.

"W-what do you mean?"

"I'm going back to Brent. I... I'm leaving tomorrow. Sorry," she said. It was a replay of Hyo Min. I was alone.

I woke in the middle of the darkness, alone and painful. I was on the couch with a blanket, and my face stung. My body was covered in sweat and my breath had sped up and become heavier. "Thank god. It was only a dream," I said.

"Baekkie-oppa, are you okay?" Nicole asked. I jumped at her voice, which made her giggle.

"Nicole, what are you doing down here?" I groaned.

"I wanted to check on you. And I wanted some food."

"Well, I'm okay." No, I'm not. Nicole came over and sat on the couch with me.

"No, you're not. Tell me what's wrong," she disagreed. I gave her a sad look and she hugged me. It felt really nice to have her arms around me, even if it wouldn't happen often.

"Nicole, you.... you're not going back to Brent.... right?" I stammered.

"No, oppa. Brent won't be bothering me anymore," she said quietly.

"Why?"

"He went to jail for drinking and driving. I'm not going back to help him, so I'm going to stay here. Don't worry," she cooed.

I was so relieved at this answer. My love wouldn't leave me, and I could stay with her. Eventually, I went back to sleep after Nicole had gone back upstairs.

The next day was the day we went back to civilization. We packed up all our stuff, not that I really had any, skated across our frozen lake one last time, and drove back to wherever we were going. Yuri brought us to her house, where we stayed. Nicole and I got the same room, with two beds. She unpacked all of Brent's clothes into my drawer, and all of Nicole's things went into her drawers.

Yuri went back to some girl group or whatever. Nicole begged to come with her, so we went along. It was more of like a fanmeet, but they were at least nine other girls on stage.

"I don't get it. SNSD only has nine members, Yuri. Who's the tenth?" Nicole asked Yuri. Yuri was no longer a modest girl; she was wearing a multicolored crop top, a pair of shorts, and a cardigan to fit around her shirt. I knew that name from somewhere, SNSD. Perhaps Hyo Min had talked about it before, but I didn't care. I no longer cared about Hyo Min. I was going to hold onto Nicole.

"Ahh, Nicole-sshi, I can't tell ysou. It's a secret, but I'll tell you tomorrow," Yuri replied. Nicole nodded.

We watched the fanmeet together as I slipped my hand in with hers. She laid her head on my shoulder and whispered three words: "I love you."
