"Uh, sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"I really don't care. But if Nicole finds out, we're dead. So don't tell her anything, got it?" she said. I nodded and looked away to avoid eye contact. The awful pounding against my skull had returned and the lights in the room felt like daggers on my eyes. My stomach churned again, and I let out a choked cough because my lungs felt like they were being squeezed and tightened. "Baek, are you okay?" she questioned.

"I'll be fine. My head just hurts a little bit, but I'll be okay," I replied.

"But I asked if you were okay now," Jessica retorted.

"I will be, don't worry," I dodged her question. "Can you take me home?" I asked childishly, trying to cover it up by standing up straight and looking manly. She smiled at my terrible attempt.

"Sure, I'll take you home. Go to the car. I need to do one more thing before I go," she said. I obeyed and left the building, waiting for her in the car. My headache still whacked at my brain and my stomach was still doing backflips, but my eyes' pain was eased by the lack of light outside in the rainy atmosphere. I saw her coming back to the car through the darkness and rain, hugging herself to keep warm.

"Jess?" I asked quietly. She turned to me.

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry. I'm an idiot, I shouldn't have kissed you, and I won't do it-"

"Baek, it's okay. I liked it, but it's just that I don't think Nicole would like it," she interrupted me. My cheeks burned with embarrassment as I heard her words.

I got home, went inside, and tried to sleep in my room, hoping that would make me feel better. It didn't as I realized Nicole was in there. "Hello, oppa," she greeted me. I grunted.

"Hi, babe," I sighed. She came over to my bed and kissed my head.

"What's up with you?" Nicole asked sympathetically.

"My head just hurts and I'm exhausted," I told her.

The next day was even worse. Everything ached and I stayed in bed. "C'mon, Baekhyun. It's time to get up," Yuri stated.

"I don't want to, Yuri..." I groaned. She tugged my arm to get me out of bed, but it didn't work. "Please, Yuri!" I begged.

"Baekhyun, please get out of bed. I need to go soon," she sighed. I shook my head, so she felt my forehead. "Fine. You can stay here; I don't want to get my other members get sick," she said, dropping my hand.

"Bye, Yuri. Have fun with them," I said as she left the room.

Nicole burst into the room with a cardboard box. "Baekkie! You got mail!" she squealed.

"How would I get mail? Is it from Jessica?" I asked tiredly, so she handed it to me. "Mister and Missus-" Byun. Oh my god. My parents knew where I was now.

"Mister and Missus who?" she asked. It took a few seconds to answer.

"Byun. My parents," I replied. My hands instantly tore at the package, opening it as fast as possible. It was only clothes and the phone and phone charger I had left when I ran away. No note or anything. Just items that didn't mean nearly as much as words. I got up and put the clothing away in the drawers, and I also plugged the charger into the wall to charge the dead phone.

I suddenly felt so much better, even though I couldn't stand my parents. All my pain had left me, but I wasn't happy or anything. I was nervous to say the least.

I apparently had to go with Yuri, so Nicole came along this time. This time, it was a full visit to the SM entertainment building. All sorts of people walking around that I couldn't care less about. I still struggled to remember all the SNSD members' names.

Nicole wandered off to some other place. I didn't pay attention because I was too busy talking to Jessica. I also didn't pay attention to the girl that could potentially break Nicole and me up, Hyo Min. I assumed she went with Nicole when I didn't see her.

"Umm, Jess, I have to go find Nicole," I said when I finally got anxious. But she had an iron grip on my hand. Not hard, but inescapable.

"Baek, you have to stay. Please," she pleaded. I nodded and stayed with her.

Staying with Jessica wasn't bad until they were getting ready for their performance backstage. Nicole ran in and slapped me. "Ow! What the hell was that for?!" I yelled. She had tears streaming from her eyes as she left to one of the other members. "What did I do?"

"Yeah, I don't understand why you would kiss your fake girlfriend. Don't you know it would hurt her?" Hyo Min said behind me.

"Hyo Min, what did you do?" I asked slowly. I was incredibly scared for me and Nicole. Hyo Min gave a sly smile.

"You know, you're a pretty good dancer," she replied. Suddenly, it hit me. Hyo Min must've been there when we danced. I glared at her and stormed off to find Nicole. The show started a few minutes later and I was still backstage, alone. I left and looked for her. It seemed just like the time that I had lost her when I hugged Hyo Min.

It took forever before I found her cuddling with a guy. He saw me and pointed me out, talking to her. She looked at me and burst into tears, which was what I'd be doing if I lost her. "Is she yours?" the guy asked when he saw me.

"Yeah. Back off," I growled, taking Nicole's hand. She ripped it free, though and went back to hugging him.

"Nicole, I think someone wants to see you," he said in a sing-song voice. She shook her head.

"Nicole, the performance started. Don't you want to go see your unnie?" I asked sweetly. Nicole finally looked up at me and peeled herself off him, but not before someone took a picture.

"Oh. God, no. Please no," the guy said.

"Why? What happened?" Nicole asked, almost hopefully. I wasn't allowed to hold her hand in public anymore, which annoyed the hell out of me.

"Park Chanyeol! Are you dating this girl? What's her name? How long?" A reporter bombarded the poor guy with questions. This seemed to agitate him greatly.

"No. I'm not dating her. Please, go the away," he seethed.

"You must be. Why else would you hug her? What's her name?" a different person asked. Chanyeol turned back to me and took Nicole's hand, giving me pleading eyes.

"Please. I have to get them to go away," he begged. I nodded.

"Go ahead, I have my own fake to get back to," I told him. He smiled at me thankfully, turning back to the crowd of reporters with Nicole. I dragged my feet all the way to backstage. Nicole was no longer mine. She was the girlfriend of Park Chanyeol, a guy I didn't know.

"Hey, where's Nicole?" Jessica asked thirty minutes after the ordeal. I sighed.

"With some guy, Park Chanyeol," I replied. She giggled at his name. "What?"

"Chanyeol. Did he get caught with Nicole? Is that why she's not with you?" Jessica questioned. I nodded, so she giggled again. "This job is annoying if you care about people," she said.

"Yeah, and apparently Chanyeol cares about my girlfriend a lot," I muttered.

"Oh, don't take it too personally. It's not real anyway, and you know that," she reminded me.

"I know, but... I love her," I told her. "The whole reason we have to date is because you saved me for her, and now she's dating Chanyeol."
