Unconditionally[CONTENTID1][/CONTENTID1][CONTENTID2]Dara couldn’t help but sigh as she finished cooking dinner. Although they were making progress as husband and wife, it didn’t help that it was slowly sinking in that she might have made a big mistake. Don’t get it wrong, Kris didn’t hate her; that much was obvious. However, what was depressing was that he didn’t love her either. It was very much clear that when his parents told him to marry her, he had simply just agreed and gone through with the marriage.
“I’m home.”
His deep voice shook her back from her reverie. She turned the stove off before running out to greet him. He was now the handsome, 24-year-old head of Wu Corporation; his dedication to the business was surprising. Many women were sorely disappointed about learning that the young attractive president was already married.
“Welcome back!” Dara cheerfully gritted. He merely glanced at her while he took his shoes off.
“Do you want dinner?”
“I ate,” he responded shortly. “I have work to do, so don’t bother me tonight.”
She lowered her head, trying to hide the disappointment on her eyes. “O-Okay…”
He walked by her, then paused. He turned to her, taking a glimpse of her downcast eyes. He mentally groaned.
“But…”
She looked up to his tall stature, eyes gleaming with hope.
“I could use some dessert, I haven’t had one yet.”
Dara’s eyes practically shone as she giggled her way back to the kitchen.

Grabbing the cake she had baked for them, Kris’ eyes widened a bit at the sight of the enormous chocolate cake with cherries fashionably drizzled on top.
“You sure like dessert.”
She just stuck her tongue out at him, but no one couldn’t deny her smile. This was what she looked forward to almost everyday.
Kris, spending time with you makes me happy. I’m glad I married you after all.
“Ehh.. what is this? Are you blushing?”
She immediately faced him, her cheeks growing redder. “I’m definitely not!”
“Ohhhhh?” Kris smirked leaning towards her. “Were you daydreaming about me again?”
“Of course not!” she shrieked because it was shamefully true. Her tomato red cheeks may as well have been screaming ‘Yes’. He smirked even deeper.
“You’re so happy the man you’ve longed for, for so long, is your husband now, huh?”
Husband…
She couldn’t help but giggle, which he shook his head at.
“You sure get pleased easily.”
“Kris!”
“Hmm?”
“I-I love you!” she smiled cheerfully, but faltered when he abruptly stood.
“I’m not so hungry after all,” he muttered, before going to his study.
The cake on his plate was left untouched, and Dara couldn’t help but feel her tears threatening to spill when she heard the door slam.
She was so stupid.
Why ruin such great moment between the two of them? All because she had to open her big mouth!
But…
Kris… I really do love you. Can’t you just accept me?

Kris stood up on the other side of the door and released a breath. Self-loathing was a horrible feelings, but he was stuck with it anyway. He heard a soft knock and swiftly moved away.
“Kris…?” Dara called out. “C-Can I come in?”
When she opened the door, she saw him at his desk, looking through his files.
“Um… Kris… could we talk?”
“I’m busy,” he answered, without even looking up to her.
“But-“
“Damn,” he breathed in frustration. “Can’t this wait?”
She lowered her head. “I…I supposed so,”
“Good.”
He focused back to his work, and tried to ignore the miserable feeling of self-loathing in himself.

“Darabbit?”
“Oppa!”
Her close friend grinned, “Been a while.”
Lee Donghae - the extremely attractive eldest son of the largest entertainment in South Korea, SM Entertainment was standing there, looking very out of place with a shopping cart at hand, while dressed in formal business suit. His platinum blonde hair made him stand out ever more and Dara couldn’t help but noticed a few women standing around, gossiping. Of course, this was nothing new; whenever she saw him, there were at least a few people, mesmerized by his evident beauty. If he was not Lee Soo Man’s rightful heir, he could practically passed every audition for an idol with his physique alone. The two had been acquainted through Lee Seungri – successor of YG Entertainment – and had been good companions since then.
“What are you doing here?”
He raised an eyebrow, looking around. “Same as what everyone else is doing at the supermarket. Shopping.”
“Oh… Right!” She giggled.
“How’s Yifan?”
She was quite taken aback at the sudden question, still she answered him. “Kris is doing well, thank you.”
“Is he still treating you like a pet?” Dara didn’t miss the bitter tone in his voice. She frowned
