This has to be a nightmare… a total nightmare… I need to wake up, I don’t want this to continue!

He then pinched himself and groaned loudly which made Director Choi and Seunghyun look at him, “Is there something wrong Jiyong?” he worryingly asked, “Oh… no… nothing’s wrong uncle” he rubbed his shoulder.

“Tch… for all I know he’s just trying to make a scene” he whispered to himself, “What was that Seunghyun?” his dad asked, “I said, he’s just dozing off with this… I think he isn’t in the right condition right now” he sighed lightly so his dad wouldn’t notice.

“Were you able to take some rest last night Ji? I heard from your mom that your dad was sent to the hospital last night, how’s he doing right now?” Ji pulled himself together and disregarded the way Seunghyun was acting.

“I’ve slept fine uncle, it’s just that I feel just a bit spaced out right now… sorry” he bowed his head, “No need to apologize, I know your situation isn’t all that fine right now” he tried to ease him, “Oh no uncle, everything’s is at good terms, dad’s doing fine after what happened last night…”

He showed head on that he was fine but a grit of unease still lingered within him, “It was an alarming news at that time but, the doctor said he’ll be fine and all he needs is his medications to ease up his blood pressure” he nodded in understanding “I’m glad he’s fine… I wanted to get here as soon as I heard from your mom but I was still at the flight towards here”

“You didn’t need think so much about it uncle…” he shook his head, “No, for me being there by the friend’s side is very important. I know you’re aware of how close we both are and things still stayed like that up until now” he saw a warm smile appearing.

Seunghyun on the other hand showed no interest but his father’s words all sank inside him, he knows being the director of a big company isn’t all that wonderful. People like him don’t hold real bonds with people, there may be some who shows concern towards him but behind those masks laid their true intentions.

He was happy at one end to know that Jiyong’s dad was always there for his dad but still, things aren’t what they appear right now. He knows their friends but helping out with the company matters seemed a little bit far off. He doesn’t understand that part, that kind of help he’s providing.

They’ve talked for a few more hours and ate along together, although their conversation turned from past events their fathers went through to the preparations for the wedding. Jiyong had somewhat felt a certain anticipation run through inside of him, after hearing those stuff from his soon to be father-in-law, a side of him was willing to accept the wedding whole heartedly.

“Well, it’s been a wonderful day to talk with my son and my son-in-law…” he smiled widely, “This old man needs some rest for a board meeting tomorrow, although boredom will surely be in those talk in that meet up, I can’t set that aside… well, it’s been a blast, I’ll see you kids sooner” Ji bowed and Seunghyun only nodded his head.

“It was a pleasure to have you too uncle… have a pleasant evening” the director was about to turn and leave but paused at the last second. “Oh, by the way Seunghyun, do take Jiyong home. It would be nice if you were to bring him”

Seunghyun didn’t react to it but surely inside Jiyong’s head he’s against it, “No need uncle, I brought my car along so there’s no need for~” he shook his head, “Nonsense, Seunghyun…” he nodded, “You kids take care now” he bid himself off.

“But…” he tried to convince him but “No point on trying to change his mind, let’s get going to the parking lot to get it over with, I’ve already spent too much time with this” he sighed and walked on ahead. “Aish!” he watched as Seunghyun went on his own, “This guy’s really pisses me off!”

He followed him towards the parking lot and Seunghyun stopped at the red Ferrari car, he was impressed at his taste with cars. “Get in, I don’t have all night” he opened the driver’s side, “Thanks but I think I can handle myself”

He was about to leave “Yah! Stop fussing over this and get inside the car before I run you over!” he warned, Ji gritted his teeth; “You really are despicable aren’t ya? From the very first time I saw you, you were already hateful in my eyes and right now… you’re the worst thing my eyes have ever laid their sight upon!”

He sighed in disbelief and smirked for a second, “Do you think anyone would like to be with a half-assed guy like you? Do you think that I’d agree with this marriage because I was curious with you? Please… do understand that we both don’t agree with this but… in terms of our situation, I know we’re just forced into this”

Jiyong’s blood was boiling at that point, “Yeah, you’re right… I am forced to this, but you know what? I’ll be willing to go along with this because this is something that I’ll be more than happy to accept just for the sake of my father”

“So say what you want, I’m fine with it… I can bear with it, if that’s all that takes to help with my dad, it means nothing” Seunghyun smiled at him and he became confused at the reaction he was seeing, he walked closer towards him until he stopped only a step far from him.

“So you’ll be willing to bear this burden in your life huh? You’re willing to lay down your arms and render yourself in this strife… that would also mean that…” he placed his hand on Ji’s cheek in which he froze in an instant while his eyes kept a close watch on Seunghyun’s face, “I can touch you freely…” he moved his fingers at the soft skin.

“I can be close to you whenever I feel like it…” his fingertips then found themselves at Ji’s lower lip and he then grazed at the texture of it, “I can kiss you… when and where I want to” he leaned closer towards him and Ji’s heart began to beat rampantly inside his chest, he was also breathing deeply while his whole body tensed up until it felt like it was numb.

D-Don’t k-kiss me… you bastard, don’t you dare kiss me… or else… you’ll… take my first kiss away!

He didn’t notice that his eyes were already shut but he recalled that Seunghyun’s face wasn’t stopping and he could frankly feel his breathing. “Hmp… you’re easy to tease… I wouldn’t be surprized if you’ve been ing with any guy that would hit on you” he whispered.

Jiyong’s eyes snapped wide open and an evil smirk was plastered at Seunghyun’s face, “A hateful man… a hateful man indeed” he grunted and then kicked him at the leg twice, “AH! You…” he jumped in pain, “This marriage… will definitely teach you a lesson you won’t forget!” he warned him before leaving.

When he finally left, Seunghyun composed himself, “You’re not boring as you look I see… don’t worry, I’ll make things interesting for you either” he chuckled and got inside his car, not even long, his phone rang. “Hello?”

Seunghyun then went to a bar; he looked around and saw Taeyang waving at him. He went through the crowd and sat beside where he was sitting. “So, how’s the first meet with your fiancé?” he mockingly said, he snickered before he spoke, “It was fascinating…” Tae raised a brow, “Really… don’t tell me you’re not regretting this”

“I’d regret it if he wouldn’t prove to give a challenge but after we met today, I’m quite certain… I won’t be bored once I start messing him up” he sinisterly said “So… what’s the first part of your plan” he then took the bartender’s attention and signed for some shots.

“You’ll see, but what I can tell you right now… he’ll be crying at most” his grin was devious, “Right… just don’t let yourself get drawn to him” he rolled his eyes, “What does that mean?” Tae smiled, “Not that I’m a gullible person but, I knew some friends of mine that got hitched the same way as you are and honestly speaking, most of them worked out”

“Pft… were they in the same situation as I am? Did the guy have to marry another guy? Did they love the way they have to be tied down with the same gender? I’m not complaining that I got forced to marry someone, I’m complaining because I got paired with the same gender that’s it”

“It’s not like that…” he found Taeyang a bit puzzling at that moment, “Yeah, they didn’t had the same current situation that you have right now but… when they first got married with their partner, they both didn’t got along together, they always complain with how they weren’t getting along with one another…”

He was listening quite well with Tae’s story, “But as time passed they decided that they should date whom they’d want to secretly…” that’s when Seunghyun chuckled “So you’re saying I should tell him that we should do the same so we’d both be happy with our lives? I don’t want to make things complicated between me and Chaerin if that’ll be the case”

Tae shook his head, “Can you let me finish?” he earned a nod, “So as I was saying… when they both agreed with dating other people, they slowly felt their freedom. They became more and more joyful, but, it didn’t last long… a few months they were starting to… be jealous of their partner’s relationship”

“Not because one of them had a better love life, but because… they learned to love each other without them realising it. They came to know even if they were only paired with one another, they can learn to truly fall for each other. That it’s not impossible to love someone, especially when you’re with them through thickness and thin”

Although Tae was serious with what he was telling, Seunghyun couldn’t help but to chuckle after he had finished his story, “So in other words, you believe that I’d end up falling in love with a homoual guy like him? That I’d change my preference once I came to know him in his down? That I’d replace my feelings for Chaerin for him? Is that’s what this little story of yours meant?” he sounded a bit resentful at the last part.

“There’s nothing impossible in this world you know… we both know that you guys might not get along fine but there’s always a possibility that~” Seunghyun looked away from him and the bartender gave them their drinks.

“Seunghyun, I know you love Chaerin so much that you did everything to show her that. I’m not saying that you should give up on that but… know that once your married to the guy, things will certainly change”

That’s right… things will change and there’s nothing I can do about it but to live along with it. But there’s one thing that I know will definitely happen… I will not let him have a peaceful life with me… I will make him regret that he was born and I will definitely not fall for someone as obscured like him.

Meanwhile

“The nerve of that guy… getting close to me like that… touching me like that! Aish… if he had done more than that I would’ve sent him to the morgue straight on” he complained as he recalled what Seunghyun did to him, “I’ll get my revenge on that guy. That I’ll surely do”

For a few seconds in thinking back of what happened at the parking lot, his heart sped up and his body suddenly felt hot. He couldn’t help but to think, “If he didn’t stop there… would he really kiss me?” a question popped out of his mind.

He turned beet red at that and felt himself being humiliated with even thinking about that kind of question, “Jiyong! Pull yourself together and stop thinking nonsense… this isn’t right, that guy is nothing but a total dickhead that’ll always piss you off!”

He gripped tightly at the steering wheel, “Pull yourself together…” his phone then interrupted him. He checked the caller’s name and it said, “Coffee?” he read out loud “Who… oh…” he immediately answered, “Hello?”

“I thought you wouldn’t answer…” a gentle and warm voice answered, “Seung Ri… well, I almost did since you placed your caller ID as coffee and I had to kick myself to remember who it might be” the other line giggled, “Well, at least you didn’t forget”

“How could I forget? You did more than anyone would do for me that night and I’m still thankful for it” Seung Ri smiled, “Enough thanks, like I said… we’re friends, I’d help out someone that I consider as a friend” Ji felt how genuine he was.

“By the way, where are you right now? Are you busy or are you with your family?” he then asked, “Well… I was on my way home, aside from my way home, I don’t think I’d be doing something once I get there” he snickered, “Great, can you stop by the tower? If you’re available that is” he shyly said.

“S-Sure… nothing of it, I’ll be… on my way then” he felt the excitement filling in “Wonderful, give me a call once you’re close” sounded anticipated as well, “Of course…”

“I’ll wait for you then… bye” he bid off and the line broke, after the call Jiyong took a deep breath and felt like a thorn got pulled out of his chest. “I’m so glad that this day didn’t end out all too frustrating for me… thank God, Seung Ri’s a great person… unlike that good for nothing CHOI SEUNGHYUN!”

Even under the circumstances that I am engaged to that dickhead, I still can see a silver lining because of Seung Ri… because of him… I think I can smile through this rough phase my life’s going through… yeah, I can sense that I can surely cling onto him at my grief.
