This has gone way out of hand… Seunghyun… be reasonable at least. I don’t want this to turn into a disaster. I’ll explain everything just please don’t go array over what I’ll tell you.

There was a glimmer in Seung Ri’s eyes when he said those words and Seunghyun somehow caught onto it. He couldn’t understand why he felt something was on but he had trust on Seung Ri, nothing would be like what he thinks it seems. “That reminds me, where is he? Is he with you?” he eagerly pondered. “Now that you remind me, they had left for quite a while” Hyun wondered onto himself.

It wasn’t long before Dae appeared, “H-Hey, Seunghyun” he called out casually. “Dae, where have you guys been? I have an important guess to introduce to Jiyong” he merrily informed. “Oh crud, he knows Seung Ri… this is going to be a really big problem” he tried to calm himself from panicking all over. “Yeah, where’s oppa? I know he’ll be thrilled to see Seung Ri again” Dara inquired in which startled Dae.

All eyes was towards his and the pressure was weighing heavily on him, “You’ll owe me big for this Kwon Jiyong” he muttered to himself. “Well you see, he asked to talk to Seunghyun for a few seconds. Is it alright if I borrow him from you guys?” he seemed to have conceal his troubled situation. “Is there something wrong?” Ri worriedly asked, “N-No… it’s just that Hyun’s dad here wanted to talk to them for a short while” he simply excused.

He then slowly moved closer to Dara and nudged her lightly, “Go stall them for a while alright?” he whispered lightly to her. She didn’t asked for questions and went along. “Oh, Seung Ri oppa, I heard from Jiyong oppa that you went to the states to help your branch there. Could you tell us about it?” she showed quite a promising act.

“Well…” Ri didn’t want to talk about since he’s more concerned on knowing where Jiyong was. “Yeah, that would be something. I’ve heard a lot from your company and mostly about your dad’s way in the business. He’s quite the man at this kind of industry” Ji’s dad followed off. “Come on… Ji’s waiting” Dae tugged Hyun’s coat.

“Oh, if you’d excuse us then” he bowed and smiled before they went off. “So what’s dad want us to talk about? I thought everything was already done and laid down for the whole night. What’s this about?” he couldn’t help but to wonder why. Dae stayed silence on until they got out of the hall. “Well it’s about time you’d speak up” he muttered out after being neglected.

“You want the answer to that, then just wait until we’re there” Dae sternly said and they went on towards the veranda. The moment Hyun recognized Jiyong’s suit he dashed on towards him, “What’s going on here? Where’s dad?” he looked around. “I’m sorry… your dad isn’t here. We just needed you out there” Ji seemed so pained in apologizing.

“Hey, don’t look like it’s a crime or something… it’s fine… if you wanted to talk, you should’ve just told me and I would’ve gone here without question” he tried to ease Ji up but he couldn’t look Seunghyun in the eyes and his feeling felt heavy. “I need to tell you something important but… please, don’t make any sudden conclusions until I’m done alright?”

Seunghyun wasn’t sure if it was instinct or not but the moment Jiyong said those words, his heart began to tremble. “I’ll try…” he honestly answered and Ji was less worried. “Can, I just add up a question before he give out his?” Dae interrupted and the two looked at him. “Yeah, well concerning the confession that Ji’s about to do, do you happen to know Seung Ri?” he asked straight on.

“He’s my cousin. He’s the one I’ve been eager to introduce Jiyong to” it made Ji’s heart sank from where it was. “Oh dear…” Dae just shut his eyes and turned. “Why… is there something wrong? Seung Ri told me that you guys knew each other. Was there something that I didn’t know? Did you guys had a fight or something?” he was really baffled on what’s going on and what Jiyong was going to confess.

With a deep sigh, Ji braced himself as he encouraged himself to spill. “You see Seunghyun… me and Seung Ri met at Christmas eve, right after I gotten the news that I was going to be engaged to you. I met him at a café when I stormed out of my apartment” Hyun took in what he was saying, “We talked and stuff right after he helped me from humiliating myself at the café since I didn’t had money with me…”

“He even gave me his scarf and coat just to help me with the cold… until he gave me a lift to the hospital when I got the news that dad got sent there… he helped me more than enough and asked nothing in return. He was someone I could really count on even though we weren’t that much familiar with each other…” somehow Seunghyun felt a stabbing pain in his chest. It was obvious that Ji was somewhat attracted to Seung Ri by the way he was detailing the whole scenario. Seunghyun quickly gotten a flash inside his mind about Ji’s scarf and coat that he wore in their first date.

“So the both of you had gone out?” he didn’t want any longer for Ji to tell more. Shocked with the sudden assumption, “No… not officially… we went out in a way that we just made each other happy. But I must be honest that I’ve quickly learned to like him. No… I’d be stupid on not liking someone as kind and caring as he is…” he looked down feeling sorry for what he’s revealing.

“How long have the both of you gotten together?” Hyun sounded normal but inside, Ji could feel a well confined anger stirring. “More than a week… until he went to the states. If he stayed I don’t think that the two of us would even get along…” Dae found it unnecessary to say that but Hyun didn’t react like the way he predicted him to do so. “Is that all I need to know? Is there any deeper feelings embedded inside of you? I don’t want any more secrets in this” Ji’s heart raced.

“Right now I’m not sure… I’m full of fear right now… that I don’t understand if I’m attracted to him or not… so I can’t verify anything” Hyun nodded. “If there would be a chance that Seung Ri has a hold over you… I don’t know how to straighten that out… I know that you can sense that I’m raging inside but as a promise, I’m not letting it out” he fisted his hands for a few seconds making turn pale before he loosened.

“You’re mine… after this night, everyone will be aware that you and I are the unquestionably going to end up with each other. No one… is going to take you from me…” he embraced Jiyong tightly but comfortably. Ji couldn’t help but to feel moved by the way Seunghyun handled it. Knowing how protective he is towards him, how easily he shows jealousy and how he quickly loses his temper for those who stick themselves to him. It was the first that Seunghyun held back his anger.

“I’m sorry… if I can’t answer out your question about my feelings for him. I’m grateful for him and I knew I was attracted to him before… but maybe in due time I’ll be able to sort it out and know precisely whether I’m just feeling in owe for his kindness” he wrapped his arms around Hyun as he wished that nothing would change between them.

“Come on don’t worry too much, it’s natural… I don’t blame you for feeling something like that especially if he had done something that kind” he rubbed Ji’s back attentively. “Anyways… I won’t let you go… not now, not when we both finally gotten to like each other” he wanted to sound strong but deep inside of him, he was already taking it rough. He already admitted to Jiyong that he’s quick when it comes to jealousy, it was his vulnerable side as a guy. He thought that maybe it was because he had always gotten what he wanted when he asks for it. He knew he was spoiled but in a way he knows how to value the gift that he receives and as of that moment, he considered Jiyong as one of the most valuable gift in his life.

“I won’t lose you…” he whispered to Jiyong softly, “You won’t… I promise” Ji swore as he sorts out the heaving feeling inside his heart that seems to constrict him.

Meanwhile

“Hey, where did the two went to?” Tae asked out, “Daesung oppa came by and asked for Seunghyun to meet with them with his dad. They just left a short while ago” Dara inquired. “Is that so… well I guess Seung Ri will have to wait until the announcement later on to see how the two are the face of the night” Ri was struck with that, “What do you mean?” he asked whimsically “Well Seunghyun and Jiyong are the main star in tonight’s event. They’re the one whose about to get hitched here”

The words struck him like lightning, “What… Jiyong… is getting married… to Seunghyun?” an excruciating amount of pain surged through inside of him after hearing that. His heart supressed itself while his mind still denied the truth, the truth that Seunghyun will be the one Jiyong will marry.

Dara was the one who immediately felt the effect on him, she saw how much it had quickly affected him. “Does he like oppa that much?” she thought to herself, though she only noticed it once at the hospital. She was certain that there was something stirring at the way Seung Ri had looked at Jiyong. “What’s wrong, you don’t seem happy for the two lovers” Tae finally noticed the shift in Ri’s mood.

“L-Lovers?” he unassumingly asked, “Haven’t I told you yet that they’re always together? Honestly I felt replaced at one part but then again, having Seunghyun that happy was something quite relieving. He doesn’t get into trouble and he doesn’t mess around anymore. He changed for the better I guess” Tae was being careless with words as Dara were to be asked. “Uh, Taeyang oppa, can you please help me find Jiyong oppa?” she invited.

Tae looked at her and noticed a signalling look in her face, he didn’t quick understood but he did follow. “So Seung Ri, how was everything at the states” Ji’s mom asked and Ri didn’t heard it as he was lost in the darkness that covered him. “Oh… sorry… were you asking me something” he tried to get things together even just for a short while.

“Frankly Dara, I don’t know how to find that brother of yours, he usually~” he paused the moment she stopped to turn and glare over him. “Is there something wrong?” he asked innocently, “Aren’t you aware earlier that he felt bad after hearing that Jiyong oppa is getting married? Are you that dense?” it wasn’t clear who was older after she said that. “W-What do you mean?” he still haven’t gotten the point.

Dara sighed “Seung Ri oppa… the first time I’ve seen him wasn’t that much for me to tell but the moment I’ve seen him look at my brother, it was truly alive. I thought that maybe he just liked oppa but, right now I can tell oppa meant a lot for him” she cleared out and Tae was taken aback at the revelation. “W-Whoa wait… your telling me that he likes Jiyong too? Oh gosh… this is going to be a real issue… Seunghyun’s the most jealous type of guy I’ve known. He isn’t going to take this quite nicely” he started to panic.

“S-Speaking of which… here he comes now…” he pointed out and Dara turned to look. “Oppa…” she could tell even from a far that Ji had been gloomy, “Perhaps he already told Seunghyun oppa…” she predicted. “S-Seunghyun… uh… I thought you’d be with your dad…” he tried to avert Hyun’s attention when they reached them. “What… oh yeah, dad just wished us the best and stuff nothing much to talk about…” he tried to smile but only a crooked one showed.

“Um hey… I think Mr Kwon wanted to congratulate you guys, I think you should~” Hyun and Jiyong just passed him by and not paying any heed to his stalling. “Don’t strain yourself… he already knows about Jiyong and Seung Ri. Don’t let him make a wrong move or make him feel that he should be really affected right now because he’s currently hanging by a thread” Dae explained to him.

“Seunghyun… are you sure about this?” Ji asked out in a low tone, “No… I’m not, I don’t know what may happen but, he’s still my cousin… he’s still the guy I looked up to when we were kids and until now I do so but I’m no push over when it comes to the things I value… I only wish he’d be able to accept this” he felt Jiyong’s hand grip onto his, “I’m here… don’t worry, I’m right beside you” a soft smile finally showed itself after a while. “Thank you” he whispered.

“Oh finally the guests of honour has arrive” Ji’s dad mentioned as he noticed the two. They were both trying their best to not show any signs of awkwardness at the atmosphere, especially when Seung Ri looked at them with a saddened expression in his eyes. “I think he knows…” Ji braced himself. “Where have you guys been? I haven’t given my congratulations to you guys and Ji…” he paused and looked at both of them once more before he solely looked at Jiyong. “Congratulations, I never thought that I’d see you get engaged that quickly” he chuckled and it seemed to have worked on everyone.

“Seung Ri, it’s been a while since we last saw each other. I was really anxious on seeing you again after you became busy with work” he pulled him into an embrace in which Ri gladly gave. “I missed you too, you don’t know how much I wanted to knock some senses into you but what can I do, your good with this” he giggled tenderly with a charming smile.

“Is he taking this… nicely?” Ji thought as he watched the smile in Ri’s face, “I’m just relieved that you’re not clobbering me right now” he kid, “Maybe later but I think I can let it go since it’s your night tonight” he joked back and they pulled back from the embrace. “You guys must really be close, I can sense a tight bond between the both of you” Ji’s mom mused, “Yeah… we’ve been for each other since childhood, so we could say that we’re more like brothers than cousins” Hyun implied.

“Ah, I see that Seung Ri has come” Hyun’s dad suddenly appeared from behind which took their attention. “Ah, I’m glad to see you my friend!” Ji’s dad moved forward for an embrace like what Hyun and Ri had done. “I’m relieved that you’re fine again” they complimented and talked to each other and disregarded the youngers.

“I guess your folks really missed each other huh?” Ri stated, “In a way” they chuckled. “Oh Seunghyun! Your mom wants to talk to you” Tae then came along, “Um… I’ll just be a minute or two, would you mind?” he wanted to entrust Ji for a while. Although he felt a bit unease with it, he has trust in him. A moment of hesitation but, “Sure” he agreed and Hyun disappeared in the crowed.

Jiyong and Seung Ri were left alone and Ji didn’t know how to start a conversation knowing that he and Seunghyun are engaged while there’s still some lingering feelings between them. So he’d estimated that he might have. “You look wonderful tonight” Ri started off and it startled Ji, “W-What… oh” he couldn’t look at him in the eyes, “It’s been 3 months, 4 days and 22 hours since we’ve last saw each other but you still look and act so innocently” impressed with how accurate he was, he looked up at him.

“I haven’t called you ever since I left, I know it was mean to do so but I just didn’t want to long for you so much once I hear your voice. I wanted to refrain myself from doing it and it left me with certain regrets but…” he paused and Ji’s heart was pounding heavily. He didn’t expect to hear such frank words, “I’m somehow happy that it’s Seunghyun you’re going to marry. I feel eased but still I feel like a huge part of me got cut off” he saw the sadness yet again his Ri’s eyes.

“I’m sorry… I should’ve told you when we started to meet, I really did something wrong in this” he regretfully said, “No… it’s fine, like what I’ve said, when I heard it was Seunghyun I felt assured you’d be safe within his care. He may not be the best person to be with at times but he knows how to take good care of someone” Ji lightened up a bit, “I... I...~” Seung Ri wasn’t able to finish as Seunghyun came back to them.

“Sorry if I left, mom just wanted to me to meet her friend” he smiled at both of them. “Seung Ri… thanks for looking after him” Ri gave a soft smile, “It was nothing” somehow, Jiyong felt confused. He noticed the sadness shift from joyful to being content and back to the beginning. “Will Seung Ri be alright with this… he seems like he was about to say something important a while ago and he doesn’t show a firm expression”

“Jiyong your uncle… I mean your father-in-law wants to speak with you” his mom called out and he looked at the two before going over. When Ji finally left “Seunghyun” Ri called out, “Please take good care of Jiyong” he bid at point blank. “I know you and I value you so much… so I’m going to be honest with you…” Hyun felt a tremble from the pit of his stomach. “I love him… even for a short while I was able to accumulate such feelings towards him. He’s lovable and easy to get attached to… but I can’t have him… so I’m letting him go and I’ll set aside my feelings towards him, for our sake and above all, for Jiyong’s sake”

Hyun took it in and took a breath before answering, “I figured you’d be this quick to tell… you were never a lair, you never hide something from me or from anyone. I must say that I’m a bit at worry to hear you say that you love him but… I felt less worried when you told me that you’re willing to let the two of us be together. I’m quite thankful for this… no, I’m grateful that you’re like this” he smiled.

“I hope you’d love him more than I could. If you don’t I’ll snatch him away from you alright?” he jokingly said but Hyun took it seriously, “RI! Come on… you can’t be serious?” Ri giggled “Look after him and don’t hurt him… you aren’t what you were after I heard from Tae that you don’t go to bars and clubs plus the fact that your no longer drinking heavily like before” Hyun proudly smirked at him, “Of course, I ended up being attached to him. I couldn’t help myself from being pulled by the strings and to think that wasn’t doing anything intentionally. He’s great and I feel complete with him”

“I can tell… live a wonderful life with him. I got your back in this” Hyun felt a bit teary for the first time. He didn’t know why but he felt very blessed at that moment. “Don’t tell me you’re going to cry about this… don’t you dare, I ain’t having a cry baby tonight” he teased and pulled Seunghyun once again in a hug. “You’re one of the best thing that came into my life. Thank you so much”

It must hurt a lot to be in your place Seung Ri… I’m sorry if it has to be this way. I never intended to let myself be attached to Jiyong, in fact I wanted to just make him miserable but it ended up backfiring at him and right now, I want Jiyong to be with me… to be there by my side. It’s the first that I’ve felt so secured and warm with someone. Unlike before, I’ve started to feel that I should be loyal and faithful… he changed me for the better, so I’ll protect him and keep him here, where he belongs.

If only father had accepted the proposal, if only if he didn’t neglected the chance on investing at Jiyong’s father. If only I knew that Jiyong were to be the President’s son then I’d do everything to force my dad to make the deal but it was all too late. I was supposed to be the one in Seunghyun’s place, I was supposed to be engaged with him… I was supposed to be the person Jiyong were to fall in love with instead. If only things had turn out differently… then I would’ve been the happiest guy right now but, Seunghyun has him…

I can feel that Seung Ri’s hurt but it looks like he’s doing his best not to show it to Seunghyun. He must really love Seunghyun that much to conceal such pain inside him. I’m starting to feel a bit guilty knowing that I had the opportunity to tell him that I was already engaged with someone. He doesn’t deserve being hurt like this… but what can I do? I love… Seunghyun now but I don’t know if I also feel a certain amount of love for Seung Ri as well.

Sorry for the long wait there, just had some bonding time with my family and other relatives. I felt wonderful with the outing and it brought back the memories when we were little :D I’m glad that we had such a wonderful vacation. I hope you guys had one too :) anyways… it’s been delayed due to the extension on our vacation >.<
