15 - Daehyun
Gang Royalty“Look Daehyun, I don’t care how you joined them or what possessed you to do that in the first place.” Ashiya said sternly. “I want to know what they are planning. What those morons are trying to do and why the hell they killed Son Junsuk.”
Easy enough questions one would think, but they really aren’t that simple to answer. She wants to know the relevant things and forget about the useless fluff. She wants to know what will be of use to her and I have a pretty good idea just what they might be.
“You know anyone by the name of Nick?” I asked them.
All their faces darkened, “What about that little brat?”
“His gang –” I started but was cut off by Ashiya quick snap.
“That’s not his gang. While he may delude himself and fool everyone else he isn’t the top of that gang.” She took a deep breath before leveling her eyes with mine. “His father is the gang leader but he never shows himself anymore, not after losing his leg in a fight with me. Nick took up as the face of the gang, but he’s useless and annoying. He always has guards with his since he can’t fight worth a damn.”
I wouldn’t have known that by looking at him, but that was good information to know at least. “Anyway.” I stared again, “We met with him not too long ago; Yoochun and him are planning to team up and try and take you down. They know they will have the numbers that way and plan to train their members better to level off the skill.”
Both Mizuki and Ashiya nodded their heads but remained silent sharing a quick glance and small smiles. Turning back to me with her blank face Mizuki motioned me to continue with my explanations.
“As of now that is all I know about that, it hadn’t been brought up with me since then. Mr. Son? From what I know he owed JYJ for a while now and hasn’t been able to pay up. I got paired up with Junsu to run some collections and he was one on the list.”
“Who killed him?” The tallest asked.
“I did.” I simply told them. There was no use lying and even if I did they would be just more pissed when they found out I lied, and they would figure it out. “I didn’t have a choice, it was my life or his and I wasn’t about to lose mine.”
“Did he say anything before he died? Even if it seems like nothing I need to know what his words were.” Ashiya said leaning towards me.
“He told me his death would be mine.”
A smirk grew on her face. “Good. Just what I needed to know.” She got up and started to make her way towards the door she came out before the entire gang left. “You can go now, once you know when this little deal with Nick is going to take place come find me again that moment.” I blinked a few times as I tried to process what just happened. I barely gave her anything, but it seemed to be enough, which was good.
“Can I speak with you Mizuki?” The shortest, Jongup said.
Pain flashed through my sister’s eyes before she got up and walked right past the boy shoving his shoulder in the process and not caring that he stumbled and landed on the couch with a curse. Once Mizuki was out of the main area through the doorway Samantha had left through before this conversation started the rest of the room let out heavy sighs.
“Still on the outs with her?” The oldest looking said.
“It’s been months!” Jongup groaned. “She wants nothing to do with me. She won’t even let me explain!”
“She’ll come around eventually.” He then turned to me, “We should introduce ourselves, I’m Yongguk more commonly known as Blue Fang, you already know Jongup.” He patted said kids shoulder reassuringly.
“Skeleton, or Himchan.” The boy lying on the couch spoke.
“Zelo, the youngest.” Mock saluted the last boy, which I was going to assume, was White Collar since he didn’t give is other name.
“You all know me, so there isn’t much use in giving a personal introduction.”
“Spot on.” Himchan said, “Now keep it down, I’m going to nap before Bosses start ordering me around again.”
“Himchan!” Came a loud shout from the room Ashiya was in.
Said boy groaned, “What!” I called back.
“Don’t you dare try to sleep.”
“How did you know I was going to do that? You’re not even in the room.” Himchan said normally so there wasn’t much of a way for her to hear that.
“Doesn’t mean I don’t know what you are up to. I know you better than that Channie.” Ashiya’s reply came floating through the warehouse.
“She’s scary.” I said out loud unconsciously but gained nods from the boys around me.
“I’d watch what you say.” Mizuki said from the doorway causing all of us to jump slightly.
“They’re like ghosts if you haven’t already noticed.” Yongguk said as he reclined back in his chair.
I just nodded back as I relaxed and waited to see what they wanted me to do. Just getting up and leaving didn’t seem like a very good idea so I wasn’t even going to bother with that. All I could do was sit here and not get in their way.
“Zelo.” Mizuki chirped as she stopped not far from us in a empty area.
“Yeah?” Said boy replied as he walked over to her.
“Help me set the mats up would you? We might as well do some training while Ashiya is doing her things and the place is empty.” My sister said as the two of them started to walk away.
“You think they would notice if I tried to sneak out?” Himchan asked Yongguk.
“The moment you got up off that couch one of them is going to ask you where you are trying to sneak off to.” The other replied as he cracked his neck and knuckles.
“That’s a joke right?” I asked them, “They wouldn’t actually do that?”
