"Let's go to my house and do homework together," Lee Yewon suggested.

"Okay," Oh Ye eun agreed.

The two best friends walked side by side to Yewon's house after school ended. They spent a couple hours in Yewon's room just doing homework, talking, and goofing off. It was nearing dinner time, which meant Ye eun had to leave soon. She gathered her stuff and walked downstairs to leave, with Yewon by her side to send her off.

They chattered until the went over to Yewon's lawn, not even noticing that someone else was there in the living room.

Hey, it's her again, my younger sister's best friend. He chuckled seeing how they were so into the conversation to notice him on the couch listening to his favorite hip hop music. But he was thankful for that whenever they didn't notice him (which was like all the time) because he would be able to study Ye eun's face. Ever since his sister became really close with Ye eun when they were in their third year of middle school, she would come over to their house. He learned that Yewon and Ye eun were indeed inseparatable at school as well when they became first years in high school the year after they became close. At that time, he already had a crush on one of the most liked girls in his grade. But eventually, as he got over his little crush, he began to notice Ye eun more and more whenever she came over. He noticed how she had long straight hair that fell to her waist. He noticed how she didn't even care to wear make up, and how she was just like his lovable (but talkative) younger sister, only much more calmer and less talkative. He liked hearing her soft voice. He saw how caring and sweet she was, and he especially loved to see her smile. She had an eye-smile that made his insides feel warm when he saw it. Whenever she would pass by with his sister to leave, Hoya would secretly pause his music just to hear her voice for a quick moment. Once she was out the door, he would smile before turning on his music again.

"Bye, Ye eun! See you tomorrow at school!" he heard his sister call out before he felt the house shake a little from the impact of the door being shut.

"Oh, hey Oppa! Didn't notice you there!" Yewon said, finally taking notice of him.

"You never do," Hoya said, a little too soft for her to hear. "What are we eating for dinner?" Hoya said louder for Yewon to hear.

"Mmm, how do you feel about Donkkaseu (Korean fried pork cutlet)?"  Yewon asked.

"Sure," Hoya said before walking into his room.

Yewon mentally reminded herself to tell their mom when she got home from work. As she walked up the stairs, she thought of the recipe that her mom had taught her, before walking into her room.

He was there again. I wonder if he noticed me, Ye eun thought to herself as she was on her way home. Maybe I should tell Yewon soon. It's unfair that I'm keeping this from her when she always makes sure to tell me about her new crushes. Even if it has only been a few days since I found myself feeling this way. Ye eun made a promise to herself that she would tell her best friend of her new crush, even if her crush happens to be her best friend's older brother. I hope she's okay with it.

"You what?!" Yewon said loudly, surprised from what she had just heard.

Right when the two had met in the morning on the first day of school in March, Ye eun had confessed that she kind of had a little crush on Yewon's older brother.

"Weird, huh? But I don't know. It'll probably die away soon once we meet more guys during this new year of high school. Can you believe it? We're finally second years! One more year of high school and we graduate!" Ye eun said excitedly.
