"Why can't I just do what I want to?!" Angel yelled, speaking out her emotions for the first time.
"What do you mean? We are your parents," her mom stressed, eyebrows furrowing in distress, "We know what's best for you."
The other just rolled her eyes in utter disbelief, realizing that the cliche dramas and stories of those who were chained to practical dreams spun about by parents were coming to life right before her eyes.
"Mom, people are given one life for a reason. God wants us to realize that we don't have all the time in the world to achieve our aspirations and dreams for the future. We only have the present. "Angel!" her mom bellowed.
Her eyes opened in surprise and a spark of fear arose from within her heart. The buzz from the two syllables of her name remained thudding in her eardrums as she tore away her gaze from the gray speckled eyebrows of her father to the hard, mahogany eyes of her mother. She knew that they wouldn't tolerate her behavior any longer.
"You don't do this to your elders. Go up to your room."
Angel's eyes darted from one to the other, like a deer panicking in the eyes of hungry predators. Biting her lip and clenching her fists, just so the hurtful words building up in would cease to boil out of , she stormed outside the house, ignoring the calls from beh
