BG Music: Real Story by Infinite
This was the tenth time Miyoung went to the Eternity Cafe. And she knew why she kept coming here.
It was because of him.
Whenever she came, there was this good looking barista working there. She liked him. A lot. She loved the way he talked, the way he was so hardworking, and the way he looked good in anything. She fell in love with his lean figure, this deep brown eyes, his height, and his dimples. Even though he was slightly rude and cold, she still liked him. She fell way too hard.
The many times she came to the cafe, she would try to break his coldness. She wanted to see what he was like inside, for she was sure that he wasn't cold on the inside as well. She was just sure of it. She would try to get close with him whenever she ordered a drink or he came and brought her drink over to her table. She came with her cheerful and cute personality, which any guy would fall for. But the cold boy would just nod in reply before going back to work. She felt upset because she would always get rejected. But somehow she always ended up coming back to the cafe.
Today, Miyoung went to the cafe yet again. However, she wasn't in the mood to act cute and friendly to get his attention. She glumly ordered her coffee and dragged her feet towards an empty table. Why did I even come here, she asked herself.
L noticed that she wasn't as energetic as she usually was. Is something wrong? he wondered. He offered to make her drink even though his shift was over. He was glad that his co-worker had come early today. He made his own drink as well, took off his uniform and changed to his own clothes, and walked over to where Miyoung was sitting.
"Hey, here's your drink." He placed the cup gently on the table in front of her. She muttered a thanks before grabbing it. She was surprised when she saw L sitting down in front of her.
"Don't you have to work?" she asked.
L shook his head. "My shift ended."
Miyoung nodded understandingly. At least there's one good thing that happened today.
For a few minutes, the two of them quietly sipped on their coffee. L kept looking over at Miyoung, while she kept blanking out. He grew more worried by the minute.
"Is something wrong?" he gently asked.
Miyoung looked up, startled. "Uhm.. why are you asking. This is the first time you've willingly talked to me, so what makes you think I'll tell you? I've been rejected by you so many times. How do you think I feel now that you're talking to me the day that I'm in a horrible mood. You can just leave, like you always do." She looked away from him, actually wanting him to leave for once.
L looked down in shame. I regret all that now... He just sat there quietly, and Miyoung decided to leave herself. L felt even worse, so he decided to follow her. He didn't know why he was, but he ended up finding himself quietly walking behind her. He wish he knew why she was so sad, so he knew he wouldn't go home without knowing.
He followed her as she walked in the streets. He couldn't take it anymore and just caught up to her.
"Miyoung ah, please tell me what's wrong. I'll do my best to help you. It's killing me not knowing," he said.
Miyoung's eyes grew in shock. She didn't know that he knew her name. She figured he ignored her existance. "I-i," she stuttered, not being able to find the right words.
"Let's go somewhere." L grabbed her wrist and took her to a water fountain in the park near where he lived. He sat her down and sat next to her. "Now, tell me."
"I-I just don't know," she said with a sigh. She never told anyone about this before. "T-this girl has been bullying me ever since I could remember. We always ended up in the same class, and she seems to have a grudge against me. She always rubs everything in my face to put me down: her boyfriend, her family status, her connections, and her expensive clothes." Miyoung began tearing up. "And today, she was mocking me for not having anyone who loves me. You see, my family
