After the last class was over, Kim Gayoung packed up her belongings into her backpack and excitedly walked over to the school library. She loved helping out at the library, and she thought it was a wonderful place to expand her knowledge and satisfy her endless curiosity. She would help the librarian put the books away on their respective shelves whenever she had time after school. And today, she did. As soon as she entered the library, she greeted the librarian before taking the cart full of books and putting them away.

After an hour passed, she was finally finished with the books in the first floor. The second floor wouldn't take her as long as the first, so after a short break she went upstairs. She found the bookcart and began shelfing away. When she was getting a bit tired, she took a seat on the top of the staircase with the bookcart besides her.

"Ahh~ I'm tired," she said quietly to herself. She then looked around, realizing she was talking to herself. She chuckled to herself, realizing no one was nearby. She then decided to look downstairs to the first floor to see if there were more books to put away, but then she spotted someone and smiled.

It's Jin Sunbae! He's really attractive. He's also studying so hard right now. It's no wonder that he's ranked in the top five for the third year class. I wonder if he remembers us talking a year ago in the library. I wonder if he'll notice me again. Her head was filled with thoughts and she hadn't realized that she was plainly staring at Jin for the past five minutes.

Jin, who was reading his textbook, felt someone's gaze on him. Curious, he looked up to see Gayoung. He chuckled unnoticeably, because he was Jin. And Jin never shows any emotions. He was known throughout the school for being good looking, smart, and cold. It seemed as if he didn't have any interest in anyone or anything except his grades, and he kept to himself except for a few of his friends that he met in his childhood days. He was aware of all the attention he received from all the girls, but he chose to ignore it. He didn't really like the attention too much. It bothered him.

When Gayoung realized that she made eye contact with Jin, her eyes widened. Oh no, he caught me staring at him, she thought. With a red face, she abruptly stood up. That sudden movement made Gayoung knock over the bookcart besides her, and the bookcart, along with all the books on it, began to tumble down the stairs.  Gayoung acted before she thought and she reached out, trying to grab the cart. However, she slipped on a book and began tumbling down the stairs with the cart and the books. "AHH!" she yelled as she fell.

Jin's eyes widened as he watched Gayoung fall. He quickly stood up from his seat and ran over. By the time he got to her, she was already on the bottom of the staircase with her arms and legs sprawled out. Jin winced a bit, seeing that she had a lot of deep cuts all over her, especially her arms and legs. The sharp edges of the books must've cut through her skin, and judging from all the blood coming out, it must've hurt a lot. 

"Are you okay, Gayoung?" Jin asked as he bent over to move some of the books off of her.

He looked at her and noticed that her eyes were watering up. "It hurts," she said, weakly.

"Are you talking about the cuts?" Jin asked as he carefully examined all the cuts.

Gayoung shook her head. "I-i c-can't feel my right leg." Jin glanced at her right leg to see that it was twisted in an uncomfortable manner.

Jin's eyes widened. "We need to take you to the hospital," he said. In one swift motion, Jin gently picked Gayoung up bridal style, making sure that he wasn't being too rough with her cuts or her injured leg. With her in his arms, he grabbed his backpack and sprinted out of the library. He left the school and waited for a taxi to stop for him. When it did, he struggled to open the door before he carefully got in.

"Take us to the hospital, please!" Jin begged the taxi driver. "As soon as possible!"
