Jaejoong’s POV:

Ok. What the have I just done?

I mean, I was just mad. Anybody could understand that, right? But apparently, _______ didn’t.     

I started pacing back and forth outside of the dinner party, thinking how I could make it up to her. Huh, like I could, after practically calling her a piece of .

And she looked so beautiful in that dress. With her hair like that and her makeup like that. A week ago I’d consider these thoughts as unbearable and ridiculous. But now, I’m ashamed to think of these things at all. Shaking my head, I headed outside for a walk.

______’s POV:

All throughout the dinner party there was only one person on my mind. And I bet you already know who he is. I looked out at the entrance and wondered if he was still there, waiting for me to come out so he could say sorry. But then, I remembered something.

*FLASHBACK*

“You were making plans with Hyun Poopie to eat, remember?” Jaejoong answered.

            “You don’t need to call him names,” I stated. “He’s really nice you know. Thousands of times nicer then you. Which also reminds me, you didn’t apologize yet.”

            “Apologize? Isn’t me buying you a drink an apology already?” Jaejoong asked.

            “Yeah, I guess so, but an ‘I’m Sorry’ would be nice ya know,” I answered.

            “I don’t do ‘I’m Sorrys’ I never say sorry to anybody. It’s not my style of apologizing.”

            “How conceited. I wonder where you got that from.”

            “The guy in Shining Inheritance but of course, I started it. The writers of that drama just adapted it into his character,” Jaejoong boasted.

            “You’re such a jerk.”

            “Thank you.”

*END OF FLASHBACK*

            Will he still follow this rule? If he does then that means he won’t even apologize at all and just leave this as it is? What if he doesn’t even care about me and what he’s done? All I know is that this is more than just a normal, regular, bickering fight between us. It was something more, something that was going to affect how we feel about each other for as long as this marriage lasts. I told him that if he wanted a divorce then I’ll agree to it, but deep down inside I hoped that he wouldn’t accept it. That he would ask me to come back. As if that would ever happen.

            After the dinner party Hyun Joong and I walked out arm in arm. I smiled when needed and Hyun Joong dismissed me later that night. My job was done. What would benefit from it I don’t know, but it was relatively easy than I expected it to be.

            I decided to take a walk outside, to enjoy Vegas while I was at it. I was still in my dress, my makeup as polished as ever. I was wearing heels and a fur coat I had slipped on. My mind was whirling with so much confusion that I just wanted to close my eyes and wake up and all of this would be over. Jaejoong and I would be back to where we started: hating each other’s guts.

DBSK – Darkness Eyes

            I wanted to get away from all the lights and noise so I took a quick turn and headed off to the parking lot of a bar. It was quiet and the only sound I could hear was the sound of my own footsteps. Suddenly, a car pulled up beside me and a big muscular man got out of it. He was holding a knife and he pointed it to me.

            “Get in,” he ordered.

            My heart was pounding against my chest, my sudden realization about what this man was going to do to me coming over my skin.

            Panicked, I started to run. I turned around and ran as fast as my legs could take me. But because I was wearing heels, I tripped even before I got out of the parking lot and the man grabbed me by the leg, pulling me back towards him. He smelled like smoke and alcohol and his breath was hot against my skin. He held me close to him, threatening to push the knife against my throat.

            I was so scared, so afraid of what he was going to do to me. I was scared that he was going to me, abduct me, and kill me afterwards. But what I was most afraid of at the time was that I could never see Jaejoong again. He held the knife against my chest, its tip just decimeters away from my skin. I was crying now, the endless tears flowing down my cheek. He held onto my neck, preventing me from screaming at all. He pushed me into the car and locked it shut. He slid the knife into his back pocket and was heading back and around to the driver’s seat. I was crying, hugging my knees, wondering what was up ahead.

            “I don’t want to die…” I said quietly to myself through my tears. “And even if I do…I need to see him again…”

Taeyeon and Sunny – It’s Love

            “YAH!”

            Jaejoong?

            I scrambled to the back window and looked out to see Jaejoong. I cried even further because I’ve never been so happy to see him in my entire life. My heart lurched at the sight of him. The big man went towards him and held his knife out, sharp and ready.

            “Jaejoong!” I cried as I pounded the window. I tried breaking the glass but to no avail. I needed to be with him, I needed to be beside him.

            “Don’t come any closer,” the guy said as he held the knife out.

            But just like that Jaejoong ran towards him and flipped his arm over, sending the knife out of his grasp. Jaejoong reached for it but the man kicked it away, and then punched Jaejoong in the stomach. I watched as he fell to the ground, his hand to his stomach. The guy quickly grabbed the knife and pinned Jaejoong down, pointing the knife to his throat.

            “Who are you?” the guy asked. “Why are you here?”

            Jaejoong kept quiet and swallowed. “I’m her husband. And she’s my wife.” Jaejoong paused. “And I love her.”

            Did I just hear what I thought I did? My heart stopped at that moment, at the moment where he said those four words. Was he just saying it? Or was it for real?

            “Huh, like I care,” the guy said as he clung on harder to Jaejoong’s throat. “You’ll die.”

            “Heh, doubt it.” Jaejoong took a quick spin and kicked him, sending the knife into the air. Jaejoong caught it and knocked the guy in the back of his head, putting him out cold. I was so happy that he was down that I started crying even harder. Jaejoong, panting from the fight, looked up at me. And in that moment, I just knew that he had just told the truth. He grabbed the keys from the man’s pockets and ran over to the car. And as soon as he opened it, I got out and flung myself into his arms, my tears still running down my cheeks.

            “Jaejoong,” I said softly through my weary voice. “I…” but I trailed on after that, not sure of what to say.

            “_______, it’s ok. It’s ok…” he my hair, again and again, calming me down.

            “I was…I was so scared…”

            “And you think I wasn’t? I see you coming out of the hotel and the next thing I know you’re about to get abducted and . You scared the out of me _______,” he replied.

            I didn’t reply but instead hugged him tighter, so happy that he was here with me right here, right now.

Taeyeon (SNSD) – If

            “So how’d you know where I was?” I asked as Jaejoong grabbed my hand. We were walking back to the hotel where Jaejoong was staying. The cops had come earlier to arrest the guy that had tried to me and it turns out that he was wanted for a while now, and that this wasn’t the first time that he’s pulled one of these stunts. I still didn’t want to imagine where I’d be if Jaejoong hadn’t come to my rescue.

            “Jennifer. She admitted about Tiffany’s plan to sabotage our marriage and told me where you were. Good thing she did too or else who knows where you’d be right now,” Jaejoong said.

            “Tiffany told me so many lies.” I shook my head. “I can’t believe that I fell for them so easily.”

            Jaejoong looked at me and smiled. “But you’ve got to admit it. Tiffany and Hyun Joong brought us closer.”

            “Yeah…they did,” I said, thinking back to the chain of events that had happened.

            “I’ve thought about it and the only thing to make her stop is to talk to her dad.”

            “Her dad?”

            “Yup. I really wish I’d remembered this sooner but Tiffany’s scared of him. With Tiffany down then that means Hyun Joong’s down too,” Jaejoong explained.

            “So true.” Jaejoong held on tighter to my hand, as if I was going to go any second. “And thank you. For saving me.”

            Jaejoong chuckled. “How many time have you needed saving? It’s like my job now.” Jaejoong paused and hesitated on what to say next. “And I’m sorry. For saying those mean things to you and everything. I never knew what it’d be like if you were gone.”

            “You apologized,” I said, touched.

            “Yeah. And you’re the first person to hear it, ok?”

            “Haha, alright then.”

            “And I need to ask you a question,” Jaejoong added. We stopped walking and he let go of my hand to face me.

            “Ok,” I replied, facing him.

            He took a step forward and leaned in closer. “What would you do if I kissed you right now?”

            I was shocked, but only for a second, because I knew what was coming next. And I didn’t even get a chance to reply.

            Because Jaejoong’s lips were already on top of mine.
