Summary

When Joy Park enters her freshman year of college at the prestigious SM University, the first thing she sees is her ex-boyfriend, Kim Jongin, with his new hot and conniving girlfriend, Krystal Jung. Still pained by the breakup that had happened between Jongin and her, Joy seeks out to get revenge on the couple in order to break them up. In the process, she runs into Oh Sehun, who is hopelessly in love with Krystal, and wants the couple to break up just as much as Joy does. As a result, the two team up to break the people that they both loved and hated the most. It was simple: find some way to get Jongin and Krystal to break up on mutual terms, destroy their relationship, and in the end, have Jongin run back to Joy and Krystal run back to Sehun. It was supposed to be that easy. It wasn't even supposed to be a friendship. Nothing else was supposed to happen.

Preface

                The road was familiar, and before I knew it I was instinctively following it. I knew that I was risking it all: reopening my wounds, reopening the thoughts about him that I’d tried so hard to keep locked up all these years.

                But upon reaching the cafe, I found myself feeling a sense of comfort. The memories that came with the place were warm, innocent, and untainted.

                “Hey let’s go eat. I’m hungry.”

                I rolled my eyes. “You’re always hungry.” But I followed him anyways.

                He stopped walking suddenly. “Ooooo this place looks interesting,” he says.

                I scrunched up at the name of the cafe. “Honey Enjoy?” I read questionably. “What do they even have here?”

                He shrugged, already getting inside. Typical. He was always one step ahead of me.

                As we were waiting in line, I was pondering what to order. The iced lattes looked good, as well as the little cookies they had upfront.

                “Hmm...interesting…”

                “What?” I asked him.

                He was laughing for some reason. “The name of this cafe. Honey Enjoy. It sounds like ‘Hunnie and Joy’. You and me.”

                I thought about it. “Huh,” I said. “It does.”

                “That doesn’t give you an excuse to call me Hunnie though.”

                I grinned mischievously. “Don’t give me any ideas.”

                He ruffled the top of my head, messing up my hair. I pretended to push what he’d said aside, but inside his words rang throughout my head.

                Honey Enjoy. Hunnie and Joy. You and me.

                It seemed just like yesterday that he and I were together, having fun and being young. It was before anything else had happened. Before anything got complicated.

Hello everyone! Back with a story in what seems like foreverrrrr! Had a lot of writer's block, but I knew that I wanted to write at least one full-length story for my current otp, JOYHUN! Still impatiently awaiting for their interactions tbh.
