Red Ribbon

Horrifyingly SHINee: A Collection

Once upon a time, there was a handsome man named Key.

He was so handsome that both women and men from all over came to try and make their way into his bed. None of them ever made it past a single date.

They were always left alone after asking about his ribbon.

Every day he wore the same red silk ribbon. Tied tight around his neck, people viewed it as an interesting fashion statement. Every date someone asked him why he never took it off.

Until the day he met Lee Taemin. The younger man was as pretty as Key was handsome, their looks complimenting each other in the best of ways.

Taemin never asked about Key’s ribbon, accepting it as a part of the man he was quickly falling in love with.

Finally, when Key became tired of waiting, he asked Taemin to marry him.

“Yes.” The younger said, “As long as you promise to tell me one day why you always wear that ribbon.”

Far too in love now to care that Taemin asked about his ribbon, Key agreed. “I’ll tell you when we get married.”

More time passed and Key and Taemin happily moved in together and planned their wedding.

A year later and they married. Laying in bed on their wedding night, Taemin reached up to run a finger along the ribbon tied around Key’s throat. “Will you tell me tonight?” He asked, pressing kisses along Key’s jaw.

“I’ll tell you another day.” Key said, turning his head and kissing Taemin to distract him. It worked. “Just please, never take it off.”

Lost in the throws of passion, Taemin agreed.

The tactic continued to work for many years, every time Taemin asked about the ribbon Key distracted him with kisses and other things.

But one night, patience wore thin, Taemin couldn’t handle it anymore.

He’d been a good boyfriend, never asking about the ribbon Key wore. He’d heard the stories around town, how no one ever got close to the beautiful body after asking about his ribbon.

As a husband, Taemin had respected Key’s wishes and never tried to remove the red silk ribbon.

But he was still a man and eventually his curiosity got the best of him.

So he waited until Key was asleep, tired out from a long day at work before he acted. Slipping slowing into their bedroom,

Taemin walked on tip toes towards the sleeping figure of his husband.

The tails of the ribbon peaked out from the covers, the red making Key’s skin seem even more pale than ever. Slowly he pulled one end, tugging harder as the ribbon resisted his efforts.

As soon the ribbon came free, Taemin jumped back in fright.

Without the ribbon in place a gaping, black and bleeding line appeared around Key’s neck just before his eyes opened wide and his head rolled off his neck.

Screaming wordlessly, Key’s head fell off the bed, rolling until it hit Taemin’s feet.

Dark eyes stared up at him in fury before Key’s mouth opened and he screamed. “I TOLD YOU NOT TO REMOVE MY RIBBON!”

Chapter 2: oh. Oh thanks. I should've known not to read this at night, but I didn't think I would get this scared. I guess I'm easy to get scared or somethin' but the hair on the back of my neck is standin' up, and I feel like shuddering. Maybe it's because the thought of someone in my window always made me scared, too. I would never look at night, even when I was a kid. :(

Chapter 32: Its good but I really dont feel the satisfaction of reading a horror..... in the end there must be at least one twist or a gruesome death so that it is a horror story.... anyways nice update... why dont you try one with a clown?? As to me, I love clowns in the day but that srsly doesnt apply to me for night.... clowns are wicked at night! Imagine when at midnight, you hear a knock and open to see a plastic clown grinning widely at you!! Will you take it in? But your pic did make me jump in horror!! Are you striving to give me a cardiac arrest at this young age? ?
