Final Fare
Horrifyingly SHINee: A Collection
Being a taxi driver wasn’t what Minho thought he would be doing after college.
He had big dreams of play soccer, of making it all the way to the top and becoming one of the most celebrated players in South Korea.
But everything doesn’t always work out how its planned and after getting injured his hopes and dreams were a thing of the past.
On quiet nights, Minho liked to drive around, occasionally picking up a fare but mostly just exploring areas of the city he didn’t know.
It was a one of those nights when he spotted the boy.
Standing on the side of a darkened road, was a young boy with dyed red hair.
Minho pulled over, rolling down his window. “Do you need a ride?”
The boy nodded and climbed into the back seat.
“You can sit up here if you’d like.” Minho said, looking into the review mirror.
“I’m okay.” His voice was melodic as he proceeded to tell Minho where he wanted to go.
Forehead crinkling into a frown, Minho had to admit that he didn’t know where to go.
“That’s okay.” The boy spoke softly again before he began giving Minho directions.
It started off easily enough, turning left then right, but quickly enough it became a complex, complicated series of loops and turns and one way streets that seemed to appear out of nowhere.
Every attempt at conversation was shut down with two word answers and soon enough the city transformed into the country.
As they moved farther away from what was familiar, Minho became concerned about where they were going.
“Are you sure that you know where you’re going?” Minho asked, trying to be kind.
“Yes.”
Minho looked in his rearview mirror, expecting to see the boy still sitting the way he was when they started this journey, but there was nothing there.
Turning around, feeling his heart beating rapidly in his chest, he stared at the empty back seat.
Shocked and terrified at what he had let into his cab, Minho turned back around.
Directly in front of his car was a Bridge Out sign.
His eyes went wide as he slammed on the pedal, his car shuddered and his brakes failed. His car went careening off the edge of the broken bridge.
The last thing he saw as his car plunged into the frozen river below was the demonic image of his Final Fare smirking in the reflection of his rear view mirror.

Anyways, here you go my darlings!
