Lay POV

I sat down tiredly trying my best to remain conscious; I was breathing heavily and I can feel my body burning; my head was killing me as I kept on thinking about her nonstop

“Lay?” I heard her soft and warm voice; I was kind of shocked; I was praying that it’s not just me imagining; turning slowly; I looked behind me and I saw her; I saw ___ standing there looking at me with her sparkling eyes; I really didn't want her to see me like this; I was miserable; I was feeling so bad; and since am feeling so down and hurt … I'm afraid I might hurt her without noticing again with my sharp words; She approached me and slowly sat next to me

"This place looks really nice hmm?" she said looking around the place admiring it acting all naturally; I didn't say anything; I just kept staring at the lake …

"Are you -- feeling better now? You still look pal ---" I suddenly spoke cutting her off

"You know …..” I started slowly my eyes still fixed at the lake while blinking heavily; remembering the past and she looked at me deeply; listening carefully to what am going to say

 “Before 2 years, we had this weird maid who came to our dorm every day to clean it; I didn't really feel comfortable when she was around but she was too nice toward us; too nice that I felt so stupid to be uncomfortable with her around us ….”

“It’s been 2 months when she started working for us; I really got used to her; I treated her really nice but one day …… The most precious thing I had in my life …..  Has gone; I searched for it many times but no signal … at all"

___ POV

He was acting all weird; I sat beside him trying my best to be natural; I commented about how the place was nice but he was just staring blankly at the lake; I asked him if he was feeling any good; but suddenly he cut me off, and started telling me about their previous maid …

He looked really tired and pained; I looked at him deeply from the side; giving him my full attention and he was still looking at the lake as if remembering what happened that day and I can see his eyes sparkling with tears and I can clearly hear his shaky voice; my heart broke into pieces at his state; he looked so … weak

Lay POV

 *Flash back*

"MAMA~~~~~~ I got accepted in SM Entertainment; am officially SM trainee " I ran to my Mum happily telling her the good news

" Omo!!! My dear Yixing!" she said hugging me tight and rubbing my back praising-ly  

"That means … you'll leave home soon right?" she said with tears in her eyes

"I guess …." I said slowly looking at her with sad eyes

"Take this with you" she took off a bracelet that she has never taken it off and handed it to me

"What is this Mama?" I asked her while taking it from her hand and looking at it

"It’s your dream Yixing … never give it up and whenever you're lonely and you feel like giving up; hold it close to your heart; Mama will always be there for you" 

* End of flash back*

"I looked for it days and nights; I couldn't concentrate in practices or anything …” I said with shaky voice

 “Soon enough … I knew from manager hyung that the maid was stealing EXO stuff to sell them out for the fans …”

“So yeah …” I said while wiping off the tears from my eyes before it escapes

 “She took Umma's bracelet …. The most precious thing in my life is now gone" I said again feeling tears in my eyes

___ POV

"Ah …… Now I know why you hate me from the day I stepped in the dorm …" I thought looking at him softly; I felt really bad for him; I didn't know what to say but as I remember Luhan Oppa told me that NOBODY knows the reason behind LLay hating maids so much; that means I'm the only one who knows?!

"That’s … really ---" I started

"Don't tell anyone about it" he cut me off again while wiping his tears still looking at the lake; I looked at him

"I …. Won't" I said and slowly shifted my eyes on the lake; we stayed silent for a few fine minutes; each of us lost in his own thoughts

 **Cough** **Cough**

"You okay La- .. sir ?" I said and I was about to call him Lay Oppa but was afraid he would be mad at me again so I just said sir softly while looking at him

"STOP CALLING ME ING SIR!!" he shouted suddenly in my face angrily startling me

Lay POV

I was suffocating; I needed Umma at the moment; I was feeling so lonely and weak; I need someone …

 I was in a sharp and unbearable pain; the girl I love just had a kiss with another guy and here she is again next to me; I don't know why I told her my tiny secret; but I just did; I coughed many times feeling a lack of breathe

"You okay La- .. Sir?" she said and I felt sharp pain in my heart

 "STOP CALLING ME ING SIR!" I shouted in her face angrily and she flinched startled

"Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!" I groaned getting up but the whole world was spinning in front of me; I was searching for a support to lay myself on it; I felt arms wrapped around my waist gently and tightly from the back

"You don't feel good! Please let me take you home!" I heard her voice; I sighed tiredly

"Let go …" I said slowly and dryly with my eyes shut

‘I want to ___ -ah; I want you … but I can't bear with it; It hurts so much’ I thought; breathing hardly; waiting for her to let go

"Please! Just let me take you home eh? I'llnot open my mouth, I'll not bother you, just le- " She said still holding me tight

I took her hands off me harshly and left; leaving her there alone; I didn’t even look back; I hate it; I hate showing her my weak self; I just needed to be alone; I arrived at the apartment and nobody was there yet; I took a hot shower and went straight to bed

___ POV

I sat where he left me; I couldn't bother him more; he doesn't feel good; I didn't want to make it worse for him; I went back to the apartment after about half an hour; I opened the door; the place was quite; EXO were all were sleeping soundly on the ground!

"Looks like you drank a lot!" I sighed noting to harshly scold the underage members when they sober; I went to check on Lay; slowly I opened the room door; he was lying on the bed all covered

“Why are you so stubborn?” I said softly; I sighed and closed the door quietly; I went to change my clothes; I took a shower; wore comfortable clothes and went to the kitchen; I opened the fridge; taking a bottle of water I turned around

"UMMAYAAAAH~~~~~ " I screamed startled by Lay who was standing in front of me; he was dangerously pale; he was heavily breathing while holding the counter tight for support him

"W-water ……. I-I'm thirsty “ he said and his body hit the floor hard lifelessly; I widened my eyes and  ran to where he was

“Lay-ssi! Lay-sii!!” I said while shaking him  

“Ooooh!! Oppa!!! What should I do?” I said panicky as I was about to cry; I was so scared and wasn’t thinking straight; the guys were all drunk along with the manager all sleeping messily on the floor; I ran to my room and brought my perfume; I sprayed it on my hand bringing his head on my arm close to my chest, I put my hand close to his nose

"Oppa .. open your eyes …" I said softly; he frowned and shifted slightly on my arm; I sighed in relief; I tried to bring him back to the bed again but he was so heavy; I couldn't even move him; slowly put him down and  ran again to the room bringing comfortable sheets and a pillow

I organized it and pushed him gently on it! I covered him; I made sure he was comfortable; I went and brought a bowl full of water and ice; I put the piece of cloth on his burning forehead and he flinched

"Oppa … I know its cold but it'll help so the fever will be gone soon" I said caressing his covered forehead gently and covering him well to make him warm; It was 3:00 am now

I was wetting the piece of clothes each 15 minutes; I couldn't shut my eyes; I was worried he'll wake up later at night and need anything; but he was sleeping peacefully; breathing normally now

" Oppa~ " I said softly brushing his wet hair gently

"Rest well ummm?; I'll be by your side …" I said wiping the sweat from his forehead

Lay POV

I opened my eyes again after I slept for some time; I was in an unbearable pain; my body was burning and I was shivering of coldness; I felt thirsty; I went to the kitchen heavily trying my best to balance my steps; someone was already there; I approach the counter; I tried hard to balance myself while holding it tight; That person turned and it was ___; she was startled when she saw me; I told her I want water but everything started to get blurry and suddenly everything went black ….

Awhile later; I felt warm; less pain; and comfortable; I opened my eyes slowly and saw her next to me; I looked at her as she was putting a piece of cloth in the water before she turned again; I closed my eyes; I felt really comfortable; she was gently caressing my forehead and gently brushing my hair; when I drift to my dreamland again but this time with less pain

___ POV

I opened my eyes and noticed that I slept while hanging my head and the counter was supporting my back; it was already 5:00 am now; I looked at Lay who was peacefully sleeping; I felt his forehead and smiled

"Fever is gone" I said taking the bowl of the already melted ice to the kitchen and started cooking some porridge for him; I saw him waking up from his sleep; I approached him and he sat up

"You are awake? How do you feel now?" I said softly; he looked at me; then to his surroundings

Lay POV

"So I wasn't dreaming?  She was really next to me the whole night?" I thought looking at the surrounding then to where she was standing looking at me with those rounded eyes while smiling softly; I stood up without responding heading to the fridge; she held my arm gently

"You should rest in your room; just tell me what you need; I'll bring it for you" she said softly looking at me with caring eyes; I looked at her in the eyes

"Stop acting nice …” I said emotionlessly and her smile faded away

"I - I think you are still tired; go rest I'll bring the breakfast to your –" I took my arm from her grip roughly and she was taken aback by my sudden action; she looked at me shocked

"I said STOP ACTING NICE!!!" I shouted at her face again and headed to the room and slammed the door behind me

I was breathing heavily now; I approached the bed and grabbed the bed sheet furiously throwing them on the floor; I sat on the floor running my fingers through my hair

“Can't you see that you're the cause of my sickness!! My heart is aching so badly! How could you even ... “ I felt tears burning my eyes

"How could you ….  Kiss another guy and all of a sudden treating me nicely, are you trying to kill me!" I said panting heavily to prevent myself from crying

___ POV

I stood in my place still shocked; everything stopped in front of me; I couldn't breathe properly; I looked at his back until he slammed the door hard; I flinched; I looked at the guys who flinched at the sudden loud bang

"What's going on?" Tao said waking up startled; I approached him

"Nothing Tao; sorry I just dropped something in the kitchen" I said patting his back gently and covered him, then he went back to sleep, it was still 5:15 in the morning; I want back to the kitchen; I closed the oven leaving the uncooked porridge and went outside the apartment quietly
