Davichi - Nagging

“How’s her heart rate?” the gurney was pushed past the entrance

Dr.Ahn Ji Hoon couldn’t keep himself together after seeing the blood painting on Aira’s clothes. When Sehun came carrying Aira inside the hospital with his drenched self and clothes filled with the colour red; Dr.Ahn didn’t hesitate for a moment.

“She’s barely there.”

Sehun’s hand was gripping Aira’s tightly; No, you’re stronger than this, please Aira, please. I’ll die if you don’t make it… Sehun clench his eyes tight

“Her bleeding?”

“Terrible.” a doctor said

“Surgery now.” Dr.Ahn ordered and her body was pushed inside the surgery room “Sehun.” he stopped Sehun right in front “I’m sorry but you know you can’t enter.”

Sehun almost broke into millions “But, I… I…” he breathed and stared at Aira’s body inside the room “It’s my fault.” he muttered

“As much as I would like to kill you right now; I have someone important to save. Don’t do anything stupid kid.” Dr.Ahn turns around and closed the curtains

Sehun turns around and ran his fingers through his hair. Hurried steps and a certain voice made Sehun cringe; wanting to just jump of a building when he heard that frantic voice calling out to his beloved.

“Aira? Do you know where she is?!” Cho Hyun Ju asks the doctors passing by

“Mrs.Cho…” Sehun turns around; his heart breaking more than it already is

“Sehun! Where’s Aira? How is she?”

“She’s in surgery.”

“Is that…” Cho Sang Min stared at his clothes and Sehun nods

“Oh, oh dear God.” Hyun Ju grips her husband’s jacket tightly and cried and Sehun couldn’t bear to see it

Both of his knees fell on the floor the immediate second. He was a man for God sake, he was supposed to help them go through this but what was he doing? Because he couldn’t take the guilt anymore. Sehun’s breathing became uneven as a sudden sob broke out from him; he palms his face and breathed.

“It was me, it was my fault she got run over by a car. We fought, I was mad at her, furious, she was upset so she ran out and a car came out of nowhere; she couldn’t see it because it was raining heavily and the car hit her. It was all my fault, if I hadn’t got mad at her, none of this would’ve happened. If I, if I hadn’t…” he stuttered on almost every word that he spoke

A pair of arms enveloped him and sobbed “No, it’s not your fault. No one could predict this to happen. No one is to blame.” Cho Hyun Ju mumbled in between sobs

Sehun immediately hugged back and cried; this was the first time he had ever cried so much about something, someone, or for a certain person “I’m sorry…”

“No…” Cho Hyun Ju shushed him “It’s not your fault Sehun.” she choked and his hair gently

And for a while, both of them just stood there in each other’s embrace, not caring the eyes watching or the thoughts spoken because none of it mattered right now. He would replace himself in Aira’s position anytime if such things were possible.
