EXTRACTS FROM CHAPTER 14: THE WITNESS

“Don’t pressure yourself DARA-AH… You don’t need to answer right now…”

He snuggled in her neck… memorizing her warmth... as she rests her chin on his shoulders hoping that along with her head, her heart would rest from all the confusion she was feeling at the moment…

“I’ll wait for you…” he said as he kissed her forehead and help themselves to get up and silently walks away from the place where he voices out his feelings for her… away from the place that he pour out everything… away from all of it… but not away from all the feelings and emotions that night bring them… and not away from the pair of eyes that were watching them in darkness from the glass door that separates the other half room from the other where the two of them were in…

That night was unbearable for the three persons in that scene…The confessor, the lady and the witness… All of them find it hard to be in their dream land as the uttered words, expressed feelings and replayed scenes hunt them down away from their deep slumber…

CHAPTER 15: THE HUMAN SIZED SLIPPER

The witness cannot find sleep after what he heard and watched earlier in the practice room. As much as he wanted to just think about it tomorrow his mind would not let him… He decided to get out of his room and drink a glass of water from the kitchen. He then seated himself in the sofa at their living room… he rests his head on the head rest of the sofa as the scenes from earlier replayed on his mind…

He shakes his head violently and bowed his head while he envelops his face with his hands…

“What am I going to do?”

When he was about to stand up and left the living room, his eyes accidentally lay on the cabinet in the living room and like a magnet his feet lead him to it. He kneeled as he shakily and carefully opens the cabinet door, afraid that he would wake up anyone… He quietly brought out every soy sauce bottles in the cabinet…

“JANUARY 2009” he reads as if memorizing the date on the bottle… the day she got back

After the bottles, he brings out the album that is wrapped up… this is mostly everything about her

After setting aside the album… he takes out every music sheets in there… He scans it out as the tears that he kept from falling earlier take no heed on bursting out now…

“What should I do? What can I do?”

“Every breath and every move is about her…” he felt a pinch in his heart

“What a hilarious situation we are in” he bitterly laughs…

He settles down the music sheets and lastly he brings out the velvet box and opened it… the ring to complete the confession

“Everything is ready NEH? The only missing is the lady for all of these” he said unto himself as he keeps everything in order again… He closes the cabinet door…

“Everything will be fine…I know…. Everything will unfold on the right time… We will have our own right places….” He said as he walks into his room…

THE NEXT MORNING…

The camera for REAL SOUND is busily rolling to capture every angles of YOUNGBAE… The lad is smiling from ear to ear as he shares his contradicting feelings in front of the camera lens...

“I am happy right now for having again this opportunity to release a single and much happier to release my solo album… but as much as I am happy in having this opportunity I really can’t restrain myself for being nervous…” YOUNGBAE shares as he genuinely smiled for his fans and for those people who are helping him through out

“See this?” he points on his eyelid… “I got this eye sty because of lack of sleep… I’m always suffering from insomnia, thinking of different important things” or rather an important person

DARA’s confused face flashed on his memory and he smiled bitterly

“But my insomnia was more… ummm… let’s just say more active this past few days… though I really wanted to sleep because I am really tired from work but my mind has a mind of its own… especially yesterday” he said smiling but now… a genuine smile… a smile he shares with the audience… a smile of satisfaction that he already confesses to her… a smile of hope to be with her…

He snap out of his trance as the girl of his MV enters the room…He focuses on her as the camera lens does the same on DARA as she lays her bag in the sofa…

“I did not have enough sleep… I was really tired but sleep did not even pay me a visit” the INAG girl said in the camera

“You are also suffering from insomnia?” he inquired

“ANI… It was only last night…” the girl blurted out while stretching her arms

“LAST NIGHT…” YB was about to continue when DARA gives a warning look at him… reminding YB that the REAL SOUND camera is still on and rolling and so he changes his course and thinks of an alibi

“Last night… I was really tired” he smiles

DARA relieved from his words step out of the room and proceeded on the dressing room assigned to her

YOUNGBAE done with his part on the REAL SOUND segment follow DARA up on her assigned dressing room…he knocked three times and the girl opened it up for him and asked him to come inside

Lost for words he asked smiling while blushing… “So how was your day today?”

DARA smiled at him that makes him redder than before… “I am ok…I was just sleepy but seeing you so energetic in the morning gives me enough strength to work…”

“That’s my pleasure…” he said with a warm smile… now it is her turn to blush… he laughs seeing her all that shy…

“On a serious note… I am happy that you are not avoiding me after what I’ve said last night” he said while keeping his head down…

“BAE-AH…” she comes nearer to him and held his hands “that’s the last thing I would do to you… You are not just someone who carelessly blurted out his feelings for me…In these past years… you are one of the most precious person in my life together with my girls and JI… you know that right… you are one of my best friend” she said truthfully

“BEST FRIEND” he mumbles and his sad tone did not escape DARA’s ears… just best friend, can we be more than that? He doesn’t know why… but that label for DARA, JI and him is something he was proud of from way before but now, that label is taking its toll on him and he cannot restrain himself from feeling a pinch in his heart…

DARA noticing his sudden change cupped his face and smiled at him

“BAE-AH let’s not take things fast… You know how much I love you NEH?” she said and he nodded levelling his gaze on him

“BAE you are very important to me and I would never want to lose you just because we rush things up for us… I could not risk our relationship just because of that… I am opening my heart for you and I was more than thankful that you felt that way for me… for letting me have the opportunity to love you and at the same time hurt you in a way… you lay down on me your most vulnerable side… and that is why… I am sorting my feelings out… I don’t want to lose you nor take you for granted and I am so much grateful to you that you are willing to wait for me…” she said looking at him with her smiling eyes letting him feel the truth on her words…

YOUNGBAE, feeling all the sincerity and honesty of her warm words, did not have any strength to pull back the tears that he was so much restraining earlier… he cried… cried because she is there by his side… cried because for the first time he thinks about his own happiness… cried because he is assured once again that he chose the right girl to lay down his feelings… cried because for the first time he is now experiencing how to be in-love… cried because it is DARA he fall in love with… He felt his body shaking… shaking from all the warm and happiness that she brings in his life…and with all the strength he have, he pulls her closer and envelops her in a tight hug..

“Thank you DARA-AH for coming into my life… and you, just standing here beside me makes me realize that it was all worth it… Thank you…” he whispers in her ears…the girl taps his shoulders to calm his system… calming down, she pulls back and wipe the tears on his cheeks

“Thank you BAE for everything” she said

For everything?... why does it feel she’s leaving me… Oh BAE stop imagining thingshe reprimand himself… He reaches out her hands on his cheeks and brought it down as he smiles to her… “I’ll wait for you”…

DARA nodded smiling and hit his arms “so much for the drama!!!” she said playfully…

They are now laughing not aware of the new comer at the door step…

“Who is more dramatic last night eh?” YB said to her while tickling her side that leads them to fall on the near sofa

“Last night?” the bystander at the door asks with his scrutinizing eyes as he stepped in the room surprising the two with his presence…

DARA runs to him leaving YB at the sofa but DARA’s smiling excited eyes while running to the new person did not escape his eyes...another pinch in his heart…Do you love him? Or I am just thinking so much? I’ll choose the latter…

“JI what are you doing here?” she said then hugs the boy quickly and lead him to sit at one of the couch and let him join on their conversation. GD and YB share their brotherly hug before they sit down…

“I am here to support the stars of the MV HAHAHHAHAHHA” GD said to them, forgetting to further investigate about last night.

“I heard you will contribute a rap part on INAG… did you finish it off? Well I know you would” YB said winking his left eye

“NEH… You know that we do what we are capable of doing for each other NEH?” GD said as he high five YB

“Of course… but I suppose that you are not here just to shoot NEH?” DARA asks him

“NEH… my part will be taken tomorrow… I’m here to watch and support you” GD said smiling with them… YB just noticing GD‘s shirt now, smile warmly at his best friend and points on his t-shirt… GD is wearing a white shirt with the words I NEED A GIRL painted in black in the front…

“I love your shirt dude!!!” YB told him with his signature smiling eyes

“I know right!!!” he said smirking at YB as they laugh from their silliness. DARA smiled warmly at the scene before her. Truly she is surrounded with people with warm and sincere hearts…

“DARA and YB you are needed now in the make-up room!!! PALI!!!” the staff demanded them to come… They exchanges hugs while GD giving them his good luck

They entered the make-up room and the staffs lead them on their seats… The designers style them up and down… DARA wearing a sleeveless see-through shirt with a sleeveless white shirt inside partnered with a white-washed jeans and her hair was down, giving a shy but y feel…YOUNGBAE is adorning a dark jeans partnered with… oh he is topless revealing his fine muscles and well-shaped chocolate abs…

DARA is resting on a chair in front of the make-up room ogling YB’s well-toned body…she gulps as she found herself admiring his muscles essence of a man… she blush but restrain herself from touching YB… when did I become a ert?... she asks herself and smiled disbelievingly…

YB smiling in front of the camera notices her and asks her to come near him… he reaches for her hands and shakes it… The staffs surrounding them cannot control themselves from giggling at the scene before them… YB is shaking her hand for too long and DARA cannot do something about it… She was nervous because of the camera and YB, sensing that he was nervous because they are being filmed let her go… As she sits herself down… YB started to wiggle his shoulders while smiling in the camera… a mannerism he cannot control when he is so giddy… The staff’s giggles become louder, their charisma is appealing for the public but it was not the case for a one man observing them outside the room… JIYONG was so much enraged by the scene in front of him but he refrain himself from doing things, since he don’t want to start something in front of the camera as he keeps reminding himself that he was there to support and not to destroy the MV or so he thinks…

Do you know the movie WANTED where the assassins are professionally planning on killing their targets in one go? Well, that’s what the dragon is doing right now while watching the MV scene in front of him… His plans were perfect beyond comparison… he will lounge silently on the camera man and knock him off with the bowl of rice on the table beside him, shut the camera off, then runs to the unsuspecting YB and kill him with every grain of rice in the bowl… magnificent right? But he cannot do his plans since a menacing person with a multiple personality disorder is sitting on his right side and evidently satisfied on his dilemma…

YG is seated on GD’s left side watching silently in front of him but was evilly watching the different level of rage and jealousy emanating from the boy on his right… he can even hear a song used when a death penalty is about to take place…but the shivers on his spine is brought not because of fear but because of excitement on how things are going around him… KEKEKKE I’m a genius!!!! My mother must be proud bearing me in her belly!!! HAHAHHAHA!!!

DARA is leaning her back in the bricked wall while facing YB’s topless well-toned upper body that made her gulp (A/N: I’m going to have seizures if I were you GODDESS D!!! KYAHHH!!!). She cannot look directly on his eyes… She is really flustered from their scene… YOUNGBAE’s right hand is rested on the wall beside her left cheeks that brings electricity on her body whenever their skins will touch… he steps nearer to face her and shorten the gap between them… his face is only an inch apart on her and she is feeling his hot breath on her face… she blush, he smiles… OH MY GAWD is he going to kiss me? OTTOKAE!!!!

Her imagination was cut-off when a loud “CUT!!!” was shouted into them… the whole room gasp as YG smiles because the loud cut was from DIRECTOR DRAGON in the flesh… The two MV stars widen their eyes at the now blushing DRAGON form shamefulness as all eyes are now on him…

“JIYONG-SHI what was that? The scene is intensified the way we like it to be… why are you intruding?” the angry director shouted on him

He pouts on his childishness “but it was not how intense I wanted it to be…” – that was he wanted to say but changes it seeing the questioning looks of his two friends…

“Well… HAHAHHAHHAHAHA… don’t mind me… I’m really sorry… I’m thinking of other things” he said while scratching his nape… the director was more than enraged with his excuses but nevertheless decided to let him slip…

YG just keep his mouth shut while eyeing GD’s helplessness but he cannot keep himself from being amuse on the different emotions that was reflecting on GD’s eyes… anger, jealousy, sincerity, joy and restrain… he smiles into himself… “The mature leader and the childish dragon, all in one pack”

The filming continues as the director now told them to give each other eye smiles and sweet glances with each other while YB sings his lines… “Both of you are quite natural with each other, I won’t be surprised if you are together in real life” the director commented that earned nods from all the staffs… both artists blushed as the dragon tightens his grip on the sides of his chair…YG just smiled…

The director told YB to step closer while doing some y dances in front of DARA… DARA’s face blushes as she again felt his warm breath on her face… how I wish we are always like this DARA YB said to himself as he smiles…

DARA feeling YB was looking at him with passion slowly lifts up her head to meet his eyes… and as she did, she felt all the love and sincerity in his gaze that every girl will die to have…

“DARA touch YOUNGBAE’s body… you wouldn’t have another chance to have it” YG said playfully to her and as if a she hears a unbreakable command from the king… she unconsciously touches his chest… he stiffens but he snapped out of it fast as he smiles on her…

GD was about to run on the set when YG’s words reach his senses… “Where are you going JINGYO? A promise is a promise… so stay put or I might change my mind including you in here…” GD stiffens and then slumps himself in the couch “tch… how would I relax here… I can’t even breathe…” –he wanted to retaliate but keeps his mouth shut.

“It’s hard right? Restraining your own self to be with her?” YG said to GD while facing in front watching the different scenes of the MV…

GD’s head turn on his direction… “What do you mean?”

“You know what I mean… It was painful not to tell the person you love how much she means to you… believing that by doing so, you are protecting her from the hate of the world… believing that what you are doing is right… believing that there would be a right time for the both of you.. But are you really protecting her from those or are you afraid that you will be rejected by her? Afraid that when you lay down your cards for her, you would lose… and like the dragon as you are, you will not admit it… pretending to be strong as your outside form must suggest… spitting fire to every person that will try to crush you but deep inside… you know that only one person can break your hard-earned walls and that person might be your salvation or your downfall” YG said still facing the front

YG’s words sink in his heart and he cannot pretend that his heart did not ache for every word he said

“Sometimes people must learn the hard way… Yes, I applaud you for restraining your murderous plans until now, like throwing rice grains on YB and whacking the camera man…” how does he knew that?- GD asks himself while YG just smiled observing his stupefied face on his peripheral vision

“If you are wondering how I knew about that… well that is how stupid I am when I was jealous because of EUNJO” YG told him that brings shivers to GD’s spine… YG is a creeper GD is now more than convinced that his boss-like-father is someone you can really look up to, though his ways are really creepy, he respects the older man

“Let us assume that after this you lay down your cards on her and she reciprocates the feelings you have… Do you think it was enough? I’m afraid it’s not… how about the people around you? How about other people that you might hurt? How about YOUNGBAE? TOP? It’s not all about the both of you… It’s all about how every significant person that involves yours and her circles feel… A responsible man must think that way JINGYO… If you wanted to build a castle of love for her and wanted to protect her from all the dark side of the world.. you cannot do it alone... your sole strength cannot protect her… you needed the support of those she loves…” YG said making him stiffer on his seat… YG faces GD as the latter also faces him, YG level his gaze on the younger man…YG smiled on him and continues…

“Don’t give me a surprise look… I know enough…Then let’s say they can give her up for you… How about your career? How about your family who are you supporting? The fame you are having? Are you willing to sacrifice all that?” YG stops speaking, assessing the younger guy in front of him and continues when he senses that the younger guy is listening to him hard…hard that he would not be surprised if he memorizes everything word by word…

“Let us assume that you are ready… You are ready to sacrifice everything for her… and then you think that in one snap of your fingers everything will be ok… but you are mistaken son… The life you are living right now is not all that…You should also think about her… Is she ready to give up the fame she was working so hard all her life? Is she willing to give up the name and the family she was trying to protect all these years after her father left them ruined? Is she really ready for you and for all the heartaches that your relationship will bring? And if she is… are you ready to be the ONLY reason of her downfall? You need to choose JI… It’s either to give her up or give up your fame and some of the important persons both of you have” YG told GD with all the strength he brought with him to give the younger man the advice and the questions he wanted to say…

GD’s eyes started to sting as YG’s words break every piece of his heart but he restrain himself to cry as he musters all the strength left on his body to answer… “I may not know if I am ready or if she is ready… I may not know if I can give up everything for her and likewise I would never know how she would feel about it… Yes… I might be afraid of rejection and of losing her but I am willing to lay out all my cards… I know I cannot protect her from every heartaches and hate this world will bring… I’m not even willing to sacrifice our friendship with YOUNGBAE for her or my fame nor will I sacrifice her instead of my fame and my protected relationship with my band…” GD smiles wiping the dried tears on his cheeks… a smile that assured YG that this man in front of him whatever he would say next means he will stand by it and is sure to do what he would say

“So I would not choose anything…” YG frowns from his answer that makes the younger guy laugh a bit

“Yes… I would not choose anything… Why would I choose if I can have both? We might look like  a bunch of idiots from the outside but I trust that our relationship with each other are more than the hate we can bring to each other if the time comes… we are not your sons and daughters if this is all we have….We might be hurt for everything that will come on our way, we are humans after all… we will experience all that… but at the end of it all… Our passion, sincerity and love will bring it all down… so I will not choose… I don’t have to and I know you believe in us that we can hold on to each other despite all these…” GD confidently answered with a smile that reaches to his eyes

“I told you his answer will be the same as mine… well, let’s say not just so dramatic” a new voice was heard and GD’s head turned to his back as YG smiled approvingly

“WOOKIE HYUNG!!! You are there since earlier?” GD said surprised in his presence

“NEH but I’ve got in the picture in the TOP and YB part” SEVEN said smiling while giving him a peace sign

GD’s head turns to YG as the oldest guy laugh…”Your stupefied face was more entertaining than WOOKIE when he learned that KUSH and TEDDY was eavesdropping on our conversation regarding BYUL”

“So you mean… you really had this same talk with WOOKIE HYUNG?” GD asked

“Yeah and HAHAHHAAHHA!!!! WOOKIE was on a fighting stance at the whole time we are talking… HAHAHAHAH” YG said still laughing from the memories of his conversation with SEVEN

“HEY HYUNG how would I not? if you are carrying a human-size slipper on your right hand while talking to me the whole time at your office” SEVEN said defensively

“OI WOOKIE… don’t exaggerate… the height of the slipper is just at my eye level… I still have a video of it to prove my word” YG smiled evilly as SEVEN’s face got redder

“You still keep it? You are a trickster!!! You told me you will throw it if I would post a very dramatic novel in my webpage, explaining my relationship with BYUL to the public!!!” SEVEN said enraged while being restrained by GD in an embrace who was laughing his off with the turn of events

“Oh! I’m a man of my word! I threw the CD but did not erase the original video… HAHAHAHHAHA!!!! Don’t worry I also got SEAN’s and of course now, GD’S!!!” YG said laughing on their hilarious stupefied faces… The two boys were about to lounge at YG when DARA and YB announce that it’s already dinner time…

They ordered food. A treat from YG as the three boys uses their AEGYO on him much to DARA’s enjoyment. They were busily eating and throwing stories to each other when a delivery boy asks for DARA…

“NEH I am here” she signalled the man, the latter smiled at her and asks another man to enter. The other man brought in a gallon of strawberry ice cream, a dozen of yellow roses and a card much to their surprise…

“Thank you” the delivery guy said and leaves the place

All the guys stopped from eating and is now gawking at the girl who was blushing from embarrassment on their stares… “RABBIT open the card for us to know who it is…” SEVEN said

The girl nodded and read the card silently first…

TOKKI!!!!!

I am not available today and the following days after this to support you so I am just sending my love for you… wink wink…. A gallon of strawberry ice cream to cheer you up when you feel bored… a card to bring my sincerest feelings for you (BLECH EWWWZKY SOUNDS GAY NEH) and lastly a dozen of yellow roses (yes I am jealous but it’s a symbol of my eternal love for you KEKEKEKEKE). She blushes on his antics that did not escape from the observing eyes of the four men in observing her …GD’s eyes turned into tiny slits, YB stiffened while the two other guys smiled evilly…Don’t eat too late and call me if ever you would need me NEH? HAHAHHAHAHHAHA!!! I miss you and your alien cheeks…. HAHAHAHAHHAHAH…

She smiles as she blushes from his words that bring the men to cough indiscreetly…

“Oh let’s continue to eat and let’s share this ice cream, after all I cannot eat it all HEHEHHE” she said

“DON’T LIKE” YB and GD blurted out at the same time that earned a hit from SEVEN

“We will not eat it unless you tell us who sent it to you” YG said smiling evilly at her

“Oh HAHAHHAHA!!!!  Just from another alien at my mother ship” she said while hiding her blushing cheeks at her two hands

YG and SEVEN laugh from her cuteness while the other two guys sharply take their breaths… They all know who is that other alien in YG aside from DARA… DARA discreetly send a “thank you” message to TOP which the latter answered with “ANYTHING FOR YOU”…
