Kiki watched the girl he had brought it in, he had yet to learn her name but he could understand her words. She spoke to him like he was retarded, which given the circumstances, wasn’t her fault. He listened to her question before he decided to give an answer.

“You’re the one who took the girls away?” She asked him. He gave her a sad nod. He didn’t need to be reminded of his wrongdoings over and over again.

“Hyosung asked you do it?” She asked him. He nodded again, that woman blackmailed him into this constantly. How he had gotten here, he wasn’t sure anymore. The memories were too far away, he only knew the first day Hyosung had gotten attached to this city and the first girl he had taken.

“She is taking the youth from the girls?” She questioned. She sounded like she needed to make sure of something, which he didn’t blame her for since she had researched the spell that Hyosung was using.

He nodded again, he was waiting for her to ask the real question. He knew the girl hadn’t figured out where the girls went and who the elderly ladies were. She just needed to ask and he could point at them for her, since that would be the only way for her to figure it out.

“So she believes in that old spell, huh?” She said aloud, it didn’t seem like a legitimate question so Kiki didn’t answer her, but he saw her looking. Her back was to him but the way sound carried in here let him hear her next words.

“So where did the women go?” She mumbled. That was the only thing she couldn’t figure out, here she was in the lair of the evil witch and she couldn’t figure out where the women went. Hana heard a grunt from behind her again and looked at the monster, “What?” She asked.

He pointed his fingers at the jail cells all around them and made some more incoherent noises, “There?” She asked him. He nodded his head and grunted. She immediately ran towards the cells and all the ladies looked at her with pleading eyes.

“You guys are the girls she stole?” She said and all their heads nodded, they opened their mouths and she saw almost all of them had no teeth. “She aged you guys after she took your youth for herself.” She concluded as she looked around at all of them.

“You know that it’s not his fault though right?” She looked at all of them, some nodded, others just glared. “That woman is controlling him, has he ever looked like he wanted to take you guys?” She asked.

All of them shook their heads this time. There was some attempt at muttering but with their ineffective enunciation it was difficult. She sighed, “Well, let me ask then. Where’s Gayoon?” She said. One of the ladies in the cell across raised her hand.

Looking at the woman in the light now, she could see all of Gayoon’s features from her picture were just aged. “Your boyfriend Yoseob is looking for you, my name is Hana. I’ve been investigating all of your disappearances.” She said.

“Where’s Bae Suji?” She asked next. A girl in the cell in front of her raised her hand. She was still wearing the clothes she had on when she disappeared.

“Okay, and Park Bo Young?” She asked, a tiny little girl peeked out from behind Suzy. She was tiny, that was unexpected given the picture and footage she had seen. Must have been the heels she was wearing.

“Im Yoona?” A girl in the cell across waved her hands up. “Okay, good good, and Lee Jieun?” A hand stuck out from one of the cell farther away. 

She was scared to ask for her name, her friend was the first, she just knew it. The first one of this city, she had to find her. But who were all these other girls..? Between Anna’s disappearance and her wake-up call? 

“Anna?” She asked softly. All the girls looked around in surprise, they had never heard that name before it seemed.

The monster behind her grunted and she saw the woman behind it all waiting at her cell door for her. “Come here, Hana. We need to have a conversation.” She said.

“What would you like to talk about Hyosung?” Hana asked her.

Hyosung smiled slyly, “Let’s talk about everything. It’s not like you’ll be seeing the light of day ever again anyway."
