A/N: Lol, I love the way Hyunwoo and Yoseob interacted. I hope it was fun :)

Hyunwoo positioned himself at the farthest corner of the Inwangsil, a perfect spot where he could observe everything that went on inside the opulent dining hall. His trained eyes watched over every little movement of all attendees – the President of South Korea and her most trusted senior staff, ambassadors and Head of States from other countries, influential politicians, prominent economic experts, and powerful public figures – whose names and faces were all familiar to Hyunwoo.

Straightening his perfectly pressed black suit, he looked around and traded glances with his men which were all stationed in different parts of the hall – at the other corners, near entrances, near windows, near every table, and some along the perimeter of the walls – and they gave Hyunwoo a slight nod to signal that things were going smoothly and according to plan. He looked at his always-accurate watch and noted that the State Dinner would commence in exactly sixteen minutes and forty two seconds.

The State Dinner was held in Inwangsil, the reception and dining hall, located inside The Main Building of Cheong Wa Dae or generally known as the Blue House – South Korea’s Presidential Complex. It was an extremely important dinner with crucial figures and the NSS was personally contacted to be of assistance in securing the event; no hiccup was to be tolerated. Yoogun, Sooyeon, and the rest of the team were stationed outside the Main Building, ensuring full security for the event.

“The last guest has arrived.” Hyunwoo heard Yoogun’s low voice from his earpiece, notifying that the State Dinner should start on time with the arrival of the last guest and a signal for Hyunwoo and his men to retreat inconspicuously from the hall before Yoogun and his team slipped inside the hall to secure the dining event.

“Roger.” Hyunwoo whispered to the lapel of his crisp white shirt and he checked for the time, twelve minutes and twenty-two seconds to go. Again, he looked around, trading glances with his men and received slight nods from all of them. His eyes hovered over every guest, observing for any suspicious movement or behavior and found none. Hyunwoo knew each of these high-profiled people and although he was certain none of them would do anything strange, he and his men should still be on full alert. He did not tolerate any mistake.

Hyunwoo almost tripped when he saw a familiar figure walked into the Inwangsil – not the kind of distant familiar he felt for other figures – but he actually knew the young man strolling in, well… sort of.

It was the kid from the dingy bar, the boy who was assaulted by the muscled guy whom Hyunwoo had beaten to a pulp at the back of a filthy alleyway. The cocky boy who proclaimed his sky-high popularity. Well, Hyunwoo thought, at least the kid was not lying about being famous. Hyunwoo’s mouth pulled up one side into a smirk as he observed the young man, it was like two different people with the same face – the alleyway kid was now very well dressed. His black tuxedo was perfect, pressed and fitted; his brown hair was sleek, formally gelled to the back; his makeup was done differently, smooth and natural, no smudges under the eyes or any trace of swollen lips. His manner was flawless, bright smile on his face with formal body gestures when he shook hands and chatted amiably with the President and other prominent figures.

The alleyway kid was then led to his designated seat; and on his way there, he talked and shook hands with a few of other important people – politicians, public figures, even some Head of States from other countries – before he accidentally looked into the farthest corner and straight at Hyunwoo.

His eyes widened a little at the sight of Hyunwoo stationed in the farthest corner, the older man formally dressed in his normal black pants and suit, crisp white shirt, and black tie. And then the alleyway kid’s face lit up as he grinned, recognition and amusement in his eyes; he whispered to the politician he was talking to and the man who was leading him to his designated seat – quickly excusing himself. Hyunwoo was starting to freak out a little bit as the young man slowly walked towards him with confident wide strides. He cursed inwardly… because he forgot the kid’s name and that was just downright rude.

“Hey, Ahjussi.” The voice was amused; the kid was not even using formal language with Hyunwoo, and the older man was sure he was at least ten years older than the boy standing in front of him who was grinning brightly.

“Good evening, Sir.” Hyunwoo replied formally, nodding politely to acknowledge his presence.

The alleyway kid raised an eyebrow at Hyunwoo, “You remember me, don’t you?”

“Sir? I think it’s best for you to take your seat. The dinner is commencing soon.” Hyunwoo glanced at his watch, five minutes and thirteen seconds. He looked around again, trading glances to his men, signaling them to leave the premises now. All of them nodded in understanding and silently left the hall one by one. By now, most of the guests were all already seated, only a few men and women were still in the middle of their conversations.

“I’m the kid you saved in the alleyway, remember? When that big muscled guy was trying to –“

Hyunwoo looked down – the kid was a head shorter than him – and cut him off, still in formal speech, “Yes, I do remember you, Sir. If you would please take your seat, Sir.”

The kid scoffed at him, “Sir? You called me ‘kid’ that night and you called me ‘Sir’ now? Do you remember my name? What’s your name? Yah, Ahjussi, where are you going? Wait –“

When all of his men had left the hall, Hyunwoo took a glance at his trusted watch – three minutes and thirty-five seconds – he surveyed the hall for the last time and walked towards the entrance to leave. Yoogun’s team would slip in later on to secure the hall during the event. He could faintly hear the kid calling him – Ahjussi – to wait, but he should be going now and he was sure the kid would not follow him out; the young man was a guest, it would be really rude if he walked out of the important event.

Outside, he saw his men gathering under a brightly lit, intricate lamp post and he was about to descent the stairs to approach his men when he heard a loud yell from behind.

“YAH! AHJUSSI! YOU ARE REALLY RUDE DO YOU KNOW THAT! STOP WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW!”

All of Hyunwoo’s men immediately stood on attention and looked at the older man, shocked by the angry shout; they cocked their heads to the side slightly to see who was behind their team leader – the source of the voice. Hyunwoo frowned and sighed, he turned around slowly to see a young man pointing rudely at him in the dark.

“What do you want, kid?” Hyunwoo asked dispassionately.

Instead of getting annoyed like Hyunwoo had anticipated him to be, the alleyway kid suddenly grinned and immediately ran towards Hyunwoo, stopping only a few steps in front of the older man. “You called me ‘kid’ again! You remember my name?”

Hyunwoo shook his head and without any hesitation he answered honestly, “No.”

The young man pouted, his lips curled in distaste, “How can you forget me, Ahjussi. You are too old to remember names, aren’t you? I’m Yang Yoseob. I’m important.” He chuckled, “I think you know how important I am now, since I’m invited to the State Dinner.”

Hyunwoo sighed again, he was not in the mood to play with little boys, “Yes, I’m sure you are, Yang Yoseob-sshi. Great for you.” He glanced at the building behind, “I think it’s time for you to go back. It’s rude to walk out on an important event like this.”

“What’s your name, Ahjussi?” Yoseob totally ignored whatever that came out of Hyunwoo’s mouth and asked with hopeful eyes.

“Huh?” Hyunwoo frowned, at a lost.

“What’s your name?” Yoseob repeated, a hint of impatience coloring his voice.

Hyunwoo was quiet for a while, confused. He narrowed his eyes and cleared his throat, “Kid, I think it’s best for you to go back in. The dinner has already started and –“

Yoseob suddenly plopped himself down and sat on the pavement, creasing his perfect tuxedo. He folded his arms in front of his chest and stubbornly said, “I’m not going in. Tell me your name.”

“What…” Hyunwoo was now gaping like a fish; he seriously did not want to deal with this. He just wanted things to go smoothly, got back home and slept the nightmare away. “What are you doing? Yah! Kid, get up and get back to the Dinner.”

Yoseob pouted and glared at him, “I don’t care. Tell me your name, Ahjussi or I’m staying here and the people inside would be wondering where the I have gone to and things can get pretty complicated.”

Hyunwoo narrowed his eyes in pure irritation, “That’s unfair. This is blackmail. And watch your language.”

“I don’t care.” Yoseob huffed childishly, “Sue me.”

Hyunwoo could feel pairs of eyes stabbing through his back, his men were watching this spectacle. He sighed in defeat and mumbled, “Hyunwoo…”

“What?” Yoseob insisted.

“Hyunwoo.” The older man repeated louder.

“Hyunwoo what?”

Hyunwoo hardened his jaw, he could just snap this kid into two and bury him where no one could ever find his body. But he held that thought and gritted his teeth as he spat out syllables, “Seo.Hyun.Woo.”

Upon hearing the other’s full name, Yoseob paused for a while to brand the name onto his brain. Seo Hyunwoo. Seo Hyunwoo. Seo Hyunwoo. Okay, Seo Hyunwoo. When he realized he had won, he jumped up to his feet and grinned in satisfaction. “Seo Hyunwoo Ahjussi. It isn’t that hard, is it?”

Hyunwoo clenched his fists tightly, his nails digging into the palms of his hands, willing himself to calm down and not kill the young man on the spot. He stayed quiet, afraid he would growl like a disturbed lion if he opened his mouth.

He was still frozen in his position even after Yoseob had bounced back to the building and his men stood around him, waiting for a briefing.

Hyunwoo was in the middle of relaxing his muscles when Yoogun called everyone to gather at the side of the boxing ring. Boxing trainings had been positively favored by the NSS agents; even Sooyeon was excited about getting her face beaten up. As a martial art expert, Hyunwoo recognized that martial arts were great form of combat, but boxing had a different edge to it and he liked it – he truly liked it, it improved his stamina and a great balance for his martial arts basics.

Everyone stood in a line, pumped up for another great boxing session with each other. Yoogun was standing in front of the agents and clapped his hands to get full attention. The chattering and fidgeting stopped immediately as everyone was all ears.

“Listen up! Today we are getting a new member in our session. I hope we can extend our hospitality and show him true meaning of sportsmanship and discipline.” Yoogun was all smiles and Hyunwoo started to feel something was terribly wrong.

Yoogun continued, “I mean it guys, when I ask you to extend our hospitality, okay? I don’t want him beaten up.” He turned back and signaled for the new addition to enter the gym.

Hyunwoo’s stomach dropped to his feet as a figure came into view. It was the kid.

Again.

“This is Yang Yoseob.” Yoogun introduced the young man proudly. “He will be joining our session from now onwards.”

The agents went wild, full of excited chatters and hoots – Hyunwoo was utterly surprised that other agents knew who Yoseob was, the older man did not even know who Yoseob was. Hyunwoo even heard a soft squeal from Sooyeon. He hoped his ears were hearing things. Sooyeon did not squeal over other humans.

“So Yoseobah, we are starting our session soon, who do you want to partner with? You can get to know the rest during break or afterwards. I’m thinking you won’t have a hard time choosing a partner.” He looked around the energized agents, “Everyone is excited to have you with us.”

Yoseob nodded enthusiastically and scanned the faces on the line. He found him. Ahjussi.

The young man smirked when he realized that Ahjussi was looking at the ground, not even looking up, futilely trying to hide his presence. Ahjussi was dressed in a white baggy tee shirt, different from other agents who wore sleeveless fitted tee shirts and flaunted their healthy figures.

He waited for a while more, deliberately prolonging the uncomfortable state Ahjussi was in before he grinned up at Yoogun and pointed confidently at Hyunwoo.

“I want Ahjussi.” Yoseob answered happily.

Shihyuk sputtered at the word, “Ahjussi? Ahjussi… Hyunwoo is Ahjussi…” He went into a fit of laughter followed by other agents, including Yoogun and Sooyeon. , Hyunwoo cursed in his head, this kid is getting out of hand.

“Hyunwoo-yah, can you help our Yoseobie out?” Yoogun asked Hyunwoo.

Hyunwoo looked up, glaring at the kid grinning at him. “Yes, team leader Jung.” Our Yoseobie, my .

“Yoseobah, this is Seo Hyunwoo. He will help you practice and for anything else, don’t hesitate to approach any of us.” Yoogun informed Yoseob gently and the younger man nodded.

The staring continued between the – Yoseob was filled with pure amusement and Hyunwoo was filled with pure irritation. Finally the older man sighed in defeat… again; there was no point in making Yoseob’s life miserable so he might as well follow Yoogun’s words. He asked sincerely, “Where are your boxing gloves? I’ll lace them up for you.”

Yoseob widened his eyes at the earnest gesture and let the older man geared him up for boxing, the gloves were laced, the headgear was fastened. But Hyunwoo was not gearing himself up, instead he took up a pair of punching mitts and went into position. Yoseob raised his eyebrows, “You are not boxing?”

Hyunwoo shook his head, “You need to get used to punching first. I’ll wreck that pretty face of yours in five seconds.” He slapped the mitts together, “Come on, you will be punching these until you cannot punch them anymore.”

<>/<>\<>/<>\<>/<>\<>/<>\<>/<>\<>/<>\<>/<>\<>

“You okay? Too tired?” Hyunwoo massaged Yoseob’s hands which had gone numb somewhere during punching the mitts. The session was already over and most of the agents were already showered and changed, all ready to have a few drinks. Hyunwoo opted out, because Yoseob’s hands could not feel anything and he should massage them back to their normal state.

“Better? Can you feel anything?” Hyunwoo asked, concerned.

Yoseob nodded gently, “Yeah, it’s coming back now.”

“Good.” Hyunwoo smiled, “You should have told me. This is dangerous.”

Yoseob nodded again, noting the smile on Hyunwoo’s face. “Ahjussi?”

“Hmmm?”

“Do you want to have a few drinks?” Yoseob asked, hands were still tingling from the sensation of blood rushing back to the tips of his fingers. Hyunwoo looked up, still massaging the numb hands; he raised his eyebrows in question, “That dingy bar?”

Yoseob shook his head, “No, it doesn’t have to be that bar. I know lots of places – high end pubs, cool places, I have a lot of references and experiences.”

Hyunwoo scoffed, “Seriously, kid. Are you even legal yet? You look too young.”

Yoseob pulled his arms away from Hyunwoo’s grasp and straightened them downwards to accommodate better blood circulation. “I’m legal. I’m just cute.”

Hyunwoo scoffed, “Right, yeah. Your hands okay now?”

Yoseob nodded, “Yes, they are fine. I’m going out with a few friends anyway, you should come. My friends are all cool.”

Hyunwoo was already packing up his equipment before Yoseob even finished his sentence, “I’m sure they are as cool as you are.” He zipped his gym bag closed and stood up, “I’m going home. Have fun with your friends, kid.” He waved curtly to Yoseob and turned around to exit the gym, not even bothering to shower or change into fresh clothes.

Disappointed, Yoseob sat still on the bench for a while before finally zipping up his own gym bag and walked towards his car. He slipped inside the passenger backseat and fiddled with his forefingers; his hands were not numb anymore.

“Are you going to meet your friends, Yoseobah?” His manager looked at him from the rear mirror.

Yoseob slumped and shook his head, “No, let’s go home.”

“Home?” His manager asked.

“Yeah,” Yoseob answered, looking out of the window, “I’m tired.”

His manager frowned a little in confusion, he had forgot the last time Yoseob was home on a Friday night. But still, he drove home anyway.
