BAEKHYUN's perspective 

A sudden bright light flashed causing me to close my eyes. When I got back to my senses, I found myself running. With no reason, I kept on running with Suho hyung beside me. Someone grabbed my arm from behind as an arrow flew just an inch from my eyes.

“This world is crueller than you think.” Kai made me face him. “Kill and don’t hesitate if you need to.” He slowly faded and left me alone.

“Baekhyun, faster!” Hyung called out and reached for me. “We have to find the others.”

I reached for his hands but the ground suddenly rumbles.

“Hyung, what’s happening?” I froze.

“Don’t move.” He said. “I’ll come into you.” He took a step forward.

Suddenly, the ground where each of us is standing opened and we fell. There was a sudden darkness below me until my body hit something. I flinched, thinking that I just broke my bones in that instant. I heard another loud impact and the lights opened. I found hyung sprawled on the floor but thankfully, he is conscious.

“Hyung, we have to get out of here.” I helped him stand. “We have to find a way.”

He struggled to his feet. “Find something that can help before that opening in which we fell, close.” He pointed at the opening.

I looked around but then a loud screeching sound caught our attention. We looked up on the ceiling and saw a huge version of the game. One stone is moving and it stopped on a block where the numbers 4 40 was written. The opening in which we fell immediately closed. Thick black smoke started to encircle above us. From it emerged a two-lined poem:

In the Reverie’s Insight
Water must come face the light

“Hyung, what does that mean?” I asked, still looking above.

“I… I don’t know.” He stammered.

“Then let me explain.” A young girl’s voice offered.

“Who are you?” I asked, stepping closer to hyung. “Show yourself.”

A silhouette appears through a wall, forming a little girl’s image. She was walking, I mean floating, towards us. She spread her arms and four golden statues rose up from the floor. Each of them is connected by lines, forming a square. The statues eyes immediately glowed, piercing stares can be felt. They grinned evilly, so creepy my whole body shivers. The girl smirked.

That smirk… My eyes narrowed. She was the girl. She was the one I saw in the attic.

*flashback*

I noticed something which made me stood frozen. I saw a little girl smirking from the attic.

“What are you looking at?” Tao traced my line of sight. Her smirk is so creepy.I don’t know how to react.

 I cant say a word. I just pointed my finger towards that attic. 

“Where? I didn’t see anything.” Tao complained.

I blinked twice. “Oh… Nothing. I just thought I saw someone.”

“Ah… We better come in.” Tao said while dragging me inside. “I think you are just hallucinating from the coldness you feel.”

*end of flashback*

“I’ve been waiting for you… Byun Baekhyun.” I shivered as I heard my name. “How was life?”

She slowly raised her head. Her eyes are just deep empty holes but her gaze was intense like burning embers.
