Crossed The Line
Your FaultYuri's POV
---
Jessica hugged my arm and looked up at me.
"What?" I asked her, since I was washing the dishes.
"When are we going to tell them?" she pouted.
I sighed, "Sica."
She pouted even more, showing me the puppy eyes. "Yuri-ah.." she whined in her high pitched voice.
I couldn't help it, I gave in, "Let's tell them after I finish the dishes."
-----
I called my parents to the dining table as Jessica sat beside me.
I held her hand and put it in my lap as my parents sat down.
"What's wrong, Yul?" my mother said worryly.
I sighed, "Please don't get mad."
My dad furrowed his eyebrows, "Yul, you're scaring us."
"I'm dating Jessica." I blurted.
It was silent. I hated how silent it was.
"Well?" I asked, waiting for their reactions.
"This is a sick joke, right?" my dad said, growing angry.
I shook my head, "No joke."
He pointed to me, "You're dating a girl?"
I nodded.
He then pointed to Jessica, "And this girl, is my real daughter?"
I nodded again.
He clenched his fists, "I will not accept this."
I shrugged, keeping calm, "I never said it depended on your acceptance."
He raised his hand at me, and I expected a slap.
I closed my eyes tight.
I heard it, but I didn't feel it.
I opened my eyes and saw Jessica holding her cheek, on the ground.
Okay, that's it. He crossed the line.
I stood up and shoved my dad roughly away from Jessica as I kneeled down to look at her.
She looked up at me, tears rolling down her face.
I wiped the tears and moved her hand away from her cheek, finding it all red.
I kissed the tears and her red cheek.
I turned to my dad and saw him staring at his hand.
"You crossed the line, Mr. Jung." I said angrily, clenching my teeth.
He looked at me, and I saw tears in his eyes.
"I'm so---" he began, I cut him off.
"Stop, just stop right there. I don't give a damn about your apology. You hurt my Jessica. I don't care if you accept our relationship, because you're not even my real dad."
I hit a sensitive topic, I know because he began to sob silently.
My mother looked at me sympathetically as she rubbed my fathers back.
I kneeled down and helped Jessica up, covering her with my body as I wrapped my arms around her.
---
We were currently in Jessica's room.
"Sica, does it still hurt?" I asked her, hugging her waist from behind as we laid on the bed.
She shook her head.
"Look at me." I ordered.
She turned her body and I examined her cheek which was slightly red.
I looked into her eyes before kissing her cheek gently.
"Sica, you're almost 18, right?" I said softly.
She nodded.
"And you're going to move out, right?"
She nodded again.
"Let me move with you."
