Jessica's POV

I laid on the bed with the icepack on my stomach and a warm towel wrapped around my wrist while Yuri lay beside me, staring at the ceiling.

"Sica." Yuri called.

I turned my head to the side and looked at her.

"Do you want to go to school tomorrow?" she asked me as she turned her head also, making us face eachother and faces only inches away.

Unable to say anything due to our closeness, I nodded my head.

"Are you sure? Do you feel okay?" she asked, worried.

I nodded assuringly, "I'll be fine."

"Okay, but I will be beside you to protect you." she said determinedly.

I rolled my eyes, "I'm not a kid, I can take care of myself."

"I'll still be there." she said.

I nodded and stared at the ceiling again.

After a couple minutes of staring at the ceiling in silence, Yuri sat up.

I looked at her.

"Let me see your wrist." she commanded.

I slowly sat up and brought my wrist to her hand, which was held out.

She unwrapped the towel and stared at the wrist.

The swelling had been relieved but it was still bruised.

"Mianhe.." Yuri mumbled while turning my wrist around to look at it.

I smiled slightly, "It's alright Yuri, I know you wouldn't hurt me on purpose."

She looked up at me and smiled.

"Girls! Lunch!" step-mom called out.

I sighed, "This is going to be awkward." I said.

Yuri bit her lip while looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

"We can eat in here if you want." she suggested.

"Really? Let's do that." I said.

Yuri nodded, "I'll go get the food for us and Krystal, call her in here."

Yuri walked out and I called Krystal, "Krystal, come here!"

Krystal skipped into the room.

"Sit at the table, you are going to eat with me and Yuri." I said to her.

"Okay." she said as she skipped to the table and sat down.

Yuri came in, balancing three plates of some Korean cuisine.

She placed one on my lap, one on the table in front of Krystal, and the last one for her as she sat next to me on the bed.

Surprisingly, I saw Krystal eating the foods deliciously, using her chopsticks.

I watched Krystal eat her food until someone snapped in front of my face.

I looked at Yuri.

"Sica, eat." she ordered.

I rolled my eyes before eating the foods in front of me.

I felt Yuri staring at me.

"What?" I asked.

She brought her hand up to my face and used her thumb to wipe something at the corner of my lips.

I blushed, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks as I looked down.

Yuri giggled before continuing to eat.

"Unnies, I'm full, I'll go bring my plate out and go to my room." Krystal announced before walking out of the room.

"She's so independent now." I stated my thoughts out loud.

Yuri nodded in agreement, "That's a good thing, isn't it?"

I nodded sadly, "Yea. She doesn't need my help anymore though."

"Awww, Sica is sad! Don't be sad, if you need to help someone with anything, you can help me. I'm your little sister too." Yuri said, cheering me up while poking my shoulders.

I smiled at her as I set my plate on the table next to me.

Yuri reached over and placed hers also before laying next to me again.

She grabbed the icepack and lifted it up, peeking at my stomach.

"Your bruises are getting better." she stated.

I nodded in response.

"What time do you go to work?" Yuri asked.

"4." I replied.

"It's 3. Do you want to go? I'll come." she asked.

I sat up immediately, regretting it.

"Oww.." I groaned.

Yuri sat up and held my shoulders, looking at me, worried.

"Sica, you're injured, don't do that." she said softly while looking at me.

I nodded while looking down, "I forgot."

"So you want to go?" Yuri asked.

I nodded, still looking down, my hair covering my face.

Suddenly I felt a hand reach up, pushing my hair back behind my ears, causing my heart to beat rapidly.

I looked up at Yuri who smiled gently at me.

"You should really look at the person you're talking to." she said.

I smiled at her before gently getting up from the bed.

"I'll be in the car when you're ready." Yuri said before leaving.

I quickly changed into black jeans and a white shirt before tying my hair up neatly, letting my bangs rest to the side.

I went out my room and practically ran to the car.

I got in and Yuri began to drive.

Once we arrived I walked into the cafe and saw Taeyeon at the register.

I walked over, "Mianhe Taeyeon, I had some problems yesterday that I needed to take care of."

Taeyeon smiled at me, "No worries, what counts is that you're here now."

I walked behind the counter and began to work, feeling Yuri's gaze on me.

As I was working some guy came up to me, "Hey. You're pretty. Are you single?"

I raised an eyebrow at him, "Excuse me?"

"Are you single? Because I can change that." he 'attempted' to flirt with me.

I rolled my eyes at him, "Next." I called for the next customer.

"Hey, don't be like that." he said as he grabbed my hand, pulling it into his rough one.

'His hands are nothing compared to Yuri's' I thought.

What the hell?

I tried to pull my hand away from him but he held on.

"Could you not?" I heard a familiar voice say.

It was Yuri.

The guy disregarded her and began to talk to me again, "Let's get out of here, shall we?"

I looked at him in disgust, still trying to pull my hand away.

"Hey buddy, wanna let go of my girlfriend?" Yuri said.

Shocked, we both looked at Yuri, the guy immediately dropped his hand from mine.

Then the guy smirked. "Prove it."

"Pardon?" Yuri asked.

The guy smiled wider, "Prove it." he repeated.

I looked at Yuri and she looked at me.

She shrugged, "Okay."

My eyes widened.

She got closer to me and whispered into my ear, "Mianhe."

Then she kissed me.
