Jessica's POV

I walked on the house and saw my dad, Yuri, and my dads wife.

I stopped walking, "Morning." I said before walking off again.

"Jessica" my dad called out.

I stopped walking and turned my head, "Yes?"

"Come eat lunch with us." he insisted.

"Let me go get Krystal first." I said and walked to my room, finding Krystal coloring on a blank sheet of paper.

"Krystal, you hungry? Let's go eat." I called out softly.

She looked up at me and nodded before grabbing my hand and walking to the kitchen with me.

I pulled out a chair for her and she sat down while I sat next to her.

I saw Krystal stare at all the fancy food in front of her, she didn't know what to do.

She was used to eating cereal and crappy sandwhiches.

She looked at me for guidance.

I used my chopstick to pick up a piece of meat, I held it to and she just looked at me.

"Eat Krystal." I ordered.

She bit into the meat and chewed before swallowing.

I smiled lightly at her, "Good?" She nodded timidly.

I hadn't noticed that everyone was watching this happen.

I glared at everyone, wondering why they were staring at me.

"You really care for her don't you?" My dads wife said.

I nodded, watching Krystal shyly eat her meat, struggling with the chopsticks.

I grabbed the chopsticks out of her hand and fed her the pieces of meat along with rice.

My dad cleared his throat, "So, Jessica, when do you want to start school?"

My eyes widened, I bit my lip.

"Jessica, you have to go to school sometime." my dad said.

I looked up at him.

"When?"

"After vacation is over, which is in about a week." he replied.

I nodded and continued to feed Krystal.

"Unnie I'm full" she said to me.

I nodded, "Okay, let's go clean up."

"Jessica, you haven't eaten yet." I heard dad say.

"It's alright." I said and got up with Krystal, leading her to the sink as I wiped which had pieces of meat and rice stuck to it.

Yuri's POV

She got up and went to clean her little sisters face.

I admire her for spending 9 years taking care of herself, her mom, and her sister.

I never thought that my dad had left anoth family behind.

Although, he isn't my real rather, he acts like it.

My real father had died in a car crash shortly after I was born.

I looked over to the scene of the two sisters.

Krystal stuck her tongue out at Jessica and Jessica did the same.

I smiled at the cute scene before looking at my parents.

"Yuri, you have to protect her in school, okay? I'm afraid she might get bullied because of her attitude." my dad said to me.

I nodded, "I'll try."

"First, you have to get close to her, become her friend." my mom said.

I looked over to Jessica and saw her wiping Krystal's face with a napkin.

"I'll try." I repeated.

I wiped my face with a napkin and got up.

I grabbed the empty plates and made my way over to the sink where Jessica and Krystal were.

I saw Jessica looking at me and the amount of plates I was holding.

She walked over and grabbed some plates off of my hand and placed them into the sink, without a word.

Surprised, I widened my eyes, "Thanks...?" I said.

She just looked at me before grabbing Krystal's hand and walking off.

I turn back to my parents and they look just as surprised as me.

Maybe she wasn't so cold after all.

Maybe I actually had a chance to become her friend.
