Why?

Your Fault

Yuri's POV

---

During class I saw Jessica rest her head on the desk, looking very pale.

She suddenly asked the teacher to go to the bathroom, her voice hoarse.

The teacher let her go and I saw her walk, more like tumble, outside the class.

I looked at my teacher, worried, and she looked back.

She nodded her head to the door, and I ran to catch up with Jessica.

Running to the bathroom, I saw every stall open besides one.

"Jessica?" I called out.

I heard something, or someone, fall.

I banged on the stall door, it wouldn't budge.

I slammed the door, causing it to break.

I'll pay for that later.

I saw Jessica in the corner, looking exetremely pale, closing her eyes tightly.

I ran over to her and got on my knees to look at her face.

I cupped her face, "Sica. We need to get you home. You're sick."

She pushed me away, "I'll be fine, just go back to class."

I grabbed her hands, "Come on, let's go home."

She pulled away, "I said I'm fine!" she yelled.

Unable to control myself anymore, I yelled back.

"You're not fine, Sica! You're sick!" It was the second time I had raised my voice at Jessica, and she flinched back.

She looked coldly at me, "Why do you care so much? It's not like I'm your real sister or girlfriend."

I froze, thinking about the answer.

"Well, why can't I care about you?" I replied.

"You're avoiding my question." she mumbled.

I sighed, "Sica, you're sick. I'll tell you later. Lets go home."

I grabbed her hand, lifting her up.

She stumbled and I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her close.

She tried to push me away but I held on, "Sica, you're going to fall. Don't push me away."

She sighed, but stopped pushing me, she leaned on me as we walked slowly.

As we walked around the school, going to the front door, Jessica asked me something, "So, why do you care so much?"

"I'm a caring person." I said.

I wasn't exactly lying, but I wasn't telling the truth either.

"How come I don't believe you?" she said, raising an eyebrow at me.

I shrugged.

"I think we should fake break-up." she said.

I looked at her.

"What if they find out we are step-sisters?" she asked.

I sighed, "Alright, we will break up publicly tommorow if you want."

I opened the car door for Jessica and closed it gently.

We drove home in silence.

Once we got in the house I called a maid over to take care of Jessica.

Jessica looked at me weirdly, probably expecting me to take care of her.

I looked at her, "I broke rule number 2."

I quickly went to my room without saying anything else and locked the door as I sat on my bed.

There was no way I was going to be able to face Jessica again.

No way.
