Wrist

Your Fault

Jessica's POV

---

I'm guessing I'm home alone, again.

Donghae told me he is busy today, since it's Saturday.

I sighed and told him it's alright, that I would stay home.

I miss Krystal. I got up from my bed and went to the kitchen.

As I turned the corner, so did Yuri, who I thought was out.

She held my wrist, preventing me from falling.

I caught myself, Yuri looked at me before walking away.

I sighed, knowing she was ignoring me, she always is.

What should I do?

Work!

I ran to my room and got dressed.

There were no butlers or maids today, as they had the day off.

I guess I'm walking.

I didn't say anything as I left.

"Where are you going?" I heard a voice, Yuri.

I turned, surprised that she actually talked to me.

"To work." I replied.

"You're walking?" she asked me.

I nodded slowly.

"I'll drive you." Yuri said as she put her shoes on and walked out the door.

I looked at her weirdly before following her into the car.

The car ride was silent, an awkward silence.

When we arrived at the cafe I left hurrily.

I walked in and Taeyeon smiled widely when she saw me.

"Jessica! You're here, great, go behind the counter." Taeyeon said to me.

I nodded and took my spot behind the counter as I began to work.

---

"Jessica! Break!" Taeyeon called from the back of the cafe. I didn't leave the cafe as I usually would.

I didn't have anything to do.

Usually, I would leave with Yuri, but she wasn't here.

I continued to work and was surprised when I was Yuri and Yoona walk into the cafe, holding hands.

For some reason my heart felt like it was poked as I saw them sit at a booth, side by side.

"Jessica! We need more people to take orders, if you aren't going on break, take orders!" Taeyeon instructed.

I sighed and grabbed a notepad and pen as I walked around, taking orders.

"Jessica! Table 6."

I turned and looked at table 6, it was Yuri's table.

I took deep breaths, 'Calm yourself. This is for your job.'

I walked over, "Hello, can I take your order?"

Yoona and Yuri were surprised to see me, as they widened their eyes.

It was silent as they looked at me, I cleared my throat getting their attention again.

Yuri snapped out of it and ordered for her and Yoona.

I nodded and wrote down what they ordered.

After writing it down, I turned around and bumped into someone.

"Ah, Mianhe!" I said as I helped the person up.

Turns out, it was the guy who wanted me and Yuri to "Prove It".

He smirked when he saw me and Yuri.

"Well, isn't this ironic, I heard you girls broke up. Whose this, your girlfriend? Did she replace you already?" he said, pointing to us as well as Yoona.

I glared at him and began to walk away when I felt his rough hands grab my wrist.

"So that means I have a chance with you?" he whispered into my ear.

I flinched back, away from him, pulling away from his grip.

He wouldn't let go, and it felt as if sand paper were scraping across my wrist.

I bit my lip to hide the pain, "Sir, can you please let go of me?" I asked politely, as I was a worker and I couldn't disrespect customers.

He smiled disgustingly, "I don't know, can I?"

He tightened his grip and my wrist was starting to become numb.

I clenched my teeth and held my breath.

I didn't move, didn't struggle, not wanting to worsen the pain.

I glared at him and he looked into my eyes.

"You look like your mother, you know that?"

As soon as he said that my eyes widened.

"My mom?" I whispered.

He nodded, "She's a hot one."

"What'd you do to her?" I said angrily.

"Oh, nothing. Nothing at all." he said, smirking.

He leaned closer to my ear as I moved away.

"Maybe I did everything." he whispered.

I had forgotten Yuri and Yoona were beside us, watching the scene.

Yuri stood up and pushed the guy forcefully away.

He let go of my wrist and stumbled back.

I held my wrist in pain with my other hand as I looked at it.

Completely red, all of it. Swollen, like it was a balloon of some sort.

Tears brimmed my eyes.

"What the hell was that for?!" the guy yelled, as he had fallen on the ground from another forceful push from Yuri.

"Don't touch her." Yuri said.

I didn't look at them. I only looked at my poor wrist. I felt someone put their hand gently on my wrist.

I looked up and saw Yoona. "Unnie, let's go get this treated before it gets worse." she said softly.

Shocked at her niceness, I nodded.

I looked over at the scene with Yuri and the guy and saw Taeyeon holding them back.

Taeyeon said something to the guy and he left the cafe angrily, like the first time he had.

Taeyeon said something to Yuri before Yuri hurriedly ran towards me and Yoona.

Yoona let go of my wrist as Yuri held it gently.

"You alright?" she asked as she held my wrist, barely touching it.

I nodded, "It's fine.."

"It's not fine.." Yuri replied.

I gently pushed her away, "Look, I'm going home now, I'll treat it later."

I walked out of the cafe, holding my wrist with my other hand as I began to walk home.

'You look like your mother'

His voice keeps repeating.

My mother.

Was she okay?

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a car beep. I jumped and saw Yoona and Yuri in Yuri's car.

Yuri motioned for me to get in the car and I obeyed.

We drove home and once we did, I got out and walked towards the house, taking out my house keys, twisting it into the door, and opening it, using all one hand.

I left the door open for Yoona and Yuri, who followed me to the kitchen.

I grabbed an icepack and wrapped it in a napkin before gently placing it on my wrist.

I hissed, in my teeth.

I sat at the dining table and Yoona and Yuri did too.

Both were looking at me with the same looks on their faces.

Worried.

If I didn't know any better, I would have thought the two were sisters.

"Unnie, we should put some treatment on that." Yoona suggested.

I shrugged, "I think ice is enough---"

I was cut off when Yuri walked with some kind of lotion medicine.

She moved the icepack off my wrist and put the lotion on her fingers first before gently rubbing it on my wrist.

Even though Yuri was being incredibly careful, I couldn't help but feel pain.

I bit my lip, unfortunately I bit it too hard, as I felt a metallic taste in my mouth.

"Omo! You're bleeding!" Yoona called out.

She came towards me with a paper towel and dabbed my mouth.

The paper became tinted with red splotches of my blood.

Man, the scene must have been funny. Two look-a likes treating my wounds at the same time.

After successfully getting all the blood, Yoona sat down after throwing the napkin away.

Yuri was still at my side, gently rubbing the lotion in.

Her eyebrows were furrowed.

I smiled lightly at how caring she was, even after I rejected her confession.

"Hey, Yul, and Jessica-Unnie, I'm going to go home now, it's late, don't worry my mom is already outside the house. Bye!" Yoona left hurrily.

Yuri and I just looked at each other before Yuri focused on my wrist again.

How I missed ths Yuri, the caring Yuri.

I glanced at the clock, 12 AM.

"Yuri, it's getting late, get to bed, I'll keep the ice on my wrist."

She glanced at me, her face only a few inches from mine.

I held my breath as she studied my face before sighing, as if she were realizing something.

"You're right, keep the ice on it. Night Jessica." She stood up after saying that in a monotone.

She left and I could hear her bedroom door closing.

She didn't say 'Good' Night.

She hadn't called me Sica.
