After spending most of her life as a ttainee for YG Entertainment, Alyssa Kwon decided not to renew her contract with the company. 

Current YG Entertainment CEO confrims the sad news in their official website earlier today.

Greetings, this is YG Entertainment. We are very sad to be a bearer of such a bad news . Alyssa Kwon who has been with us since she was a young girl is no longer a part of YG Entertainment.

Her departure in the company is not because of any internal conflicts but purely because of her decision to launch her new label. Alyssa has been a dear part of our company and we wish her nothing but the best.

To the royalties who are worried about the future of Empress, there is no need to be alarmed. Despite leaving the company, Alyssa is still a member of Empress. We both reached an agreement for her to continue to promote using Empress' name.

We wish nothing but the best for Alyssa as she embarks into a new journey in her career. Please continue to support her
