The next few days passed by without much trouble, only with the occasional glares that Donghae received from Hyoyeon. However, each time she was around, Hyukjae would be around to make sure that Hyoyeon was at least a meter away from Donghae every time she was within sight. Hyoyeon could only grimace at the sight. It looked as if Donghae was unapproachable when Hyukjae was around and Hyoyeon was getting impatient. She wanted Hyukjae to be with her but just couldn't seem to think of how to get rid of Donghae. Siwon wouldn't be here soon since he was currently on business. She had to think fast and it seemed that the only way Hyukjae would leave Donghae was if Donghae cheated on him, but they weren't together yet.
Hyoyeon decided to 'help' them a bit so that it could quicken the pace of her and Hyukjae getting together. She decided to instigate Hyukjae to confess to Donghae.
"Hey Hyukjae, why are you so hesitant? I know that look. You obviously like Donghae. You used to look at me that way. Anyways, now that we've split up, why don't you try confessing to him? He looks like a good catch. Aren't you afraid of Donghae being 'stolen' right under your nose?" Hyoyeon sweetly asked.
Hyukjae looked rather incredulous. Why was Hyoyeon helping him? There had to be a motive right? But the way Hyoyeon earnestly asked made him believe otherwise. Besides, she did have a point. Considering now that Hyoyeon was here and Hyukjae didn't have that feeling he has to her than Donghae, it was safe to say that Donghae was his mate. I mean, who would want their mate to be someone else's partner?
That day, was the day where Hyukjae decided to confess to Donghae. He hadn't been so excited when. He confessed to Hyoyeon but his heart couldn't stop beating so fast at the thought of him confessing to his mate. What if Donghae didn't accept his confession? He wouldn't be able to live with the fact that his mate rejected him.
"Hey, Donghae. Could you meet me at the roof top later after school? I've got something I need to tell you. " Hyukjae asked. Donghae just nodded his head, worried what it was about.

"What...was it that you wanted to t...tell me?" Donghae asked timidly as he saw Hyukjae lean against the roof top rail. The thought of Hyukjae wanting to be with him scared him. He liked Hyukjae more than he should, and if Hyukjae didn't want to have anything to do with him...
"Relax...Hae, I can call you that right? Ahem, I'm not so good with words but I, YOU need to know that I really enjoy your company. I...I..." Hyukjae stuttered, unable to continue his words. This sight caused Donghae to raised his eyebrows in amusement. Who knew that the scary Hyukjae could be so embarrassed that it resulted in him stuttering. Donghae subconsciously smiled at the cute sight. Seeing that Donghae was smiling at him, Hyukjae gained the confidence to continue.
"I like it when you...you smile. It brightens up my day. I hate that vulnerable look you had when I first saw you. I felt the need to protect you then. I wish I had protected you back then when your, well, he abused you. You didn't have to go through such a traumatic event. I mean, no one would. I...I like your easy going, very simple and kind personality. I...All I'm trying to say here is that I want to be that person who makes you smile, feel safe and happy. I really like you and can't bear to even think of you in another's arms. Your happiness is my happiness and I feel that that is with me. So...will you be my boyfriend?" Hyukjae whispered the last sentence as he stood in front of Donghae.
Donghae was stunned. No one had ever said such nice things to him, not even Siwon when they were together. He couldn't help but tear at the confession, causing Hyukjae to chuckle at the adorable reaction.
"Y...Yes. I...I like you too. I liked you ever since the incident in the canteen. So yes, I'll be your boyfriend. "
The next thing Donghae knew, Hyukjae had smashed his lips against his and kissed the life out of him. With a gummy smile, Hyukjae couldn't help but hug Donghae so tightly that Donghae had to push away. They both decided to stay longer on the rooftop, enjoying each other's presence
Little did they know was that their happiness and actions were all seen by Hyoyeon who had secretly followed Donghae to the rooftop.
"What is this?! I thought that boy would reject him...I guess it's time for plan B..."
