'Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! .' Hyukjae muttered under his breath as he hit the steering wheel in anger.
He had been driving around with Sungmin, trying to find Donghae. It had been hours, it was dusk already and yet, they couldn't find him. Donghae's house was empty, Sungmin's house as well. Hyukjae was at his wits end. If only had he trusted Donghae, then this wouldn't have happened.
~FLASHBACK~
Hyoyeon had finally admitted to everything that had happened to Donghae. From asking Siwon to come, Yoona's arrival and the set-up, Hyoyeon admitted to having planned them all. When questioned somemore, she broke down in tears that she had set Siwon on Donghae's tail knowing that Donghae was vulnerable now. She had wanted to eradicate Donghae.
Hyukjae blew up. He was tacked with guilt already for not trusting that Donghae had been set up. Now, with Siwon on Donghae's tail, things just got a lot worse. Weaker vampires who have not been mated, like Donghae, if attacked by a more dominant vampire could die. What's more, Donghae barely survived the first attack by Siwon, if attacked again, Donghae would most likely die. Hyukjae held Hyoyeon by , strangling her. Sungmin did nothing, knowing that Hyoyeon deserved it. She had begged for forgiveness and was told by Hyukjae to disappear from his sight or he would kill her. She ran off like the coward she was. Hyukjae continued to fume until Sungmin gently reminded him that finding Donghae was more important than him racking in guilt.
~END OF FLASHBACK~
Hyukjae could only pray that Donghae would forgive him.

Donghae had ran away after the harsh words were said and when he confessed about how he felt. He didn't know what to think. Was he that unlikeable that even his mate played a fool out of him?
He was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard a noise behind him. It was then he realized that he had ran into a small alley. He heard another noise, this time it was closer. Donghae started getting fearful. Looking around to see who it was, he spotted none. However, the chill down his spine spooked him out and he started shivering in his spot. He tried to walk out of the alley but backed into someone. Turning around to apologised, he realized who it was and his face turned unimaginably pale. Siwon.
Before Donghae could even say a word, Donghae out from a hit he received at the back of his head. The last thoughts he had was how he was going to die and if Hyukjae would miss him.
