* Ji Hyun's POV *

Aish. Why does umma keep on surprising me with news? First is my arranged marriage with Onew. It's not that I hate it but it was so unexpected. And lastly, the news she brought me today. I sometimes can't believe my own umma. Why does she have to make me choose between the thing I love and the thing she wants me to do? This is not Joseon Era for women to obey what they are told to. Even though they are the ones who brought me and Onew together, this is too much for a payback.

I even begged her to not do this to me but she wasn't even bugged until the last minute. Even if I pulled off my cutest aegyo, it still didn't work. My last resort is to be disrespectful. But I have no courage to do that to the one who gave me life and happiness. She just gave me until the end of the week to choose one of the two choices given : to give up Music and train to become an heir to the company or having Onew to give up his career and train to become the heir.

It's either Onew or I will have to sacrifice the thing we both loved, Music.

* Onew's POV *

It's been a week since that failed date happen. Ji Hyun resumed going to the University and Me, having schedules with SHINee. But recently, I noticed that Ji Hyun frequently space out. She seems to be thinking of something important. I even tried asking her about it but she just told me it was nothing. If it was nothing, she doesn't have to act like this, right?

She frequently leaves early in the morning and arrive a little late than before. Even if she arrives early, she doesn't really speak too much and always excuse herself saying she's tired and goes to sleep. It's like she's avoiding me and it's getting me frustrated. What did I even do?

I called Umma to ask her what happened when they talked to each other 3 days ago. Ji Hyun just acted weird after that. I told her what's going on with Ji Hyun and said that Yeobo has her times like this. Umma also told me it's just a girl's talk, nothing more. But something felt wrong the way she said it. Or was I imagining things?

* Ji Hyun's POV *

Here I am, spacing out for the GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES. I've been thinking about what Umma said after that talk I had with her 3 days ago. It's really frustrating. I don't want to give up Music. But at the same time, I don't want Onew to give up SHINee and his career. What should I do?

"Hyunnie? Why are you talking to yourself? Is something wrong?" Onew sat down on the couch beside me and places his hand on my shoulder.
