Eighteen
Standing In The Dark
Dongwoo walked out of the restaurant with quick steps. He had to find Hoya. He had to confront him.
It had gotten dark outside. Stars had started to shine.
Dongwoo looked from left to right, trying to see where Hoya had gone. He spotted someone walking down the street to his right. He couldn’t see if it was Hoya but he decided to go after him anyways. Dongwoo put his hands in his jeans’ pocket as he started walking down the street.
The person Dongwoo was following was walking fast so Dongwoo took quick steps.
“Hoya?” Dongwoo asked when he got closer to the person.
No answer.
“Hoya!?” Dongwoo once again called out. This time the person stopped. He slowly turned around.
“Oh” it was not Hoya “sorry I thought you were someone else” Dongwoo politely bowed. The person smiled before walking off.
“That’s just great” Dongwoo sighed. He was in a park. The only light came from a lamp that was placed a couple of meters away from him. Dongwoo took out his phone and punched in Hoya’s number. A couple of tones went by until he finally answered.
“What?” his voice was harsh.
“Where are you?”
“Why do you care?”
“Hoya…come on”
“I’m in a park” Hoya finally answered.
“Near the restaurant?” Dongwoo started to search the park, trying to spot Hoya.
“Yeah”
Finally he spotted him. He was sitting on a bench. His head was resting in one of his hands while the other held his phone. Dongwoo slowly let his arm fall to his sides as he walked towards Hoya.
