Chapter Forty; Come closer

Jaejoong seemed to have gained some courage after Minhwa's reassuring kiss. He was standing by the kitchen stove, busy with cooking. Sitting on the kitchen counter.

 Minhwa swayed her legs back and forth, watching his every move.

"What are you cooking?"

" It's a secret." he winked.

" I hope it won't ruin my stomache." Minhwa chuckled.

" Yah! Don't say that! You have to taste it first." he pointed a chopstick to her, frowning playfully.

" Arasseo~" she sang.

Suddenly, they heard a crying sound. "Oh," Minhwa jumped down, " Jihoon' s awake." After a few minutes, she was back carrying their son in her arms.

Jaejoong smiled, seeing his beloved family finally with him. He felt happy tears blurring his vision, but he held them back.

" Here. Dinner's ready." he put the still boiling pot on the table, swiftly taking off the apron.

Minhwa sat at the table with Jihoon sitting on her lap. She peeked, trying to find out what her husband had cooked. " Oh? Just noodles?" She grinned.

Jaejoong sat down across her,smiling,  " No, it's not just noodles, it's egg noodles. Handmade by me!"

" Thank you," she smiled back, feeling deeply touched. " Ah.. Let's eat before it swells."

Minhwa was going back to sleep in her room, after drinking a glass of warm milk, clad in her sleeping pajamas.

" Where are you going?" She heard Jaejoong ask.

Turning her head to him, her heart skipped a bit.He looked so stunning, his hair was still damp after a shower, a towel on his shoulder. " To my room, too sleep." She replied calmly.

"Can you..Uhm...Well I mean.." He fiddled with his hands, looking down.

Minhwa tilted her head, looking at him questionly.

" Can you .. Sleep with me?"

"WHAT???!!" Minhwa gasped in surprise, her voice coming out like a squeak. Panicked,

Jaejoong quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you."

" No, it's not---" " Oh my god, I'm so sorry.
