Chapter Seventeen ; A Bet

Jimin sighed as she plopped down on the couch beside Yoochun facing Junsu and JaeJoong.

"what did she say?" Jae nervously asked.

"she...was weired." she sat straight and stared at JaeJoong questionly."are you sure you didn't do anything silly?"

"Mwo? you mean i did hurt her?" Jae retorted offended.

"she looked awful...obviously depressed.and she was saying things such as you didn't have the right to do something....." Jimin trailed off.

"Me?" Jae pointed a finger at himself.

Jimin nodded.

"Can you explain more clearly?" Junsu hissed.

"That's all I got.She seemed to be trying to hide something from me." Jimin rolled her eyes and crossed her arms,eyebrows furrowed.

"That's all you got?" Jae mocked. "and here you come and annoy me with your vague words." he gritted his teeth.

"Is that what you do instead of thanking me? It's not like I could beat her up to get information from her." she glared at him angrily.

"STOP.IT.NOW!!!" yoochun butted in.

"hyung,she's right. that's all she could do. now calm down." he said to JaeJoong while hugging Jimin's shoulder trying to calm her down.

"but It's so complicated! I don't understand at all!" Jae devastatedly pulled his hair.

" I think...If you really want to find out the truth,you should do it yourself." Junsu advised.

"But how?" Jaejoong stared at his friends with a desperate look.



Minhwa was at the SM working on a new stage design with her team.
"That's it for today guys! thanks for your hard work!" the head of the team annonced. everyone started gathering their things.
Minhwa grabbe her bag and walked out of the building.
Just as she went forward to catch a taxi,a black car stopped in front of her.
when the window was pulled down,a familiar face wearing sunglasses came into the view.

"get on please. I need to talk to you"

Minhwa just ignored him and started walking away from his car.
Jaejoong's car started following her.

"please..."

she just rolled her eyes and continued walking away.

"Lee Min Hwa. If you don't get on,i'll have to come down and take you with me." Jaejoong was losing his patience.

when she didn't react,he swiftly hopped off the car and stormed towards her,but before he could reach her,she quickly the passenger door and got on. she didn't want to cause a scene in front of her work place.
Jaejoong sighed in relief and walked back to his seat.

"Thank you." he said quietly but enough for her to hear.


He drived to a quiet place near the han river and stopped.
he quickly glanced at her.she was looking out of the window.not moving.
He cleared his throat to get her attention though he knew she won't look at him,but at least she was hearing him.

"Uhm..Minhwa-sshi... I know It's rude to ask you again,but can you please tell me what really happened? I should know since i'm your husband."

he heard her scoff. of course she didn't reply.
he swallowed hard,tightening his fists.he had to swallow his goddamn pride to get her to tell the truth.

"Ever since that day,I keep having weired dreams.and you giving me the silent treatment is not helping at all."
he breathed out and continued "You've got me all wrong,Minhwa. Yes I admit i don't love you and don't see the need to act all lovely dovey with you. but afterall, i'm your husband. If I let you leave my house and live with your brother, doesn't mean i have cut all the ties with you. don't misunderstand me,I'm not the carefree type.you're my legal wife,so what happens to you is MY business. I'm now politely asking you to explain that incident to me." Jae finished his words
