Chapter Twenty-Eight ; Come Back to me

A week later


 Jaejoong was finally back from the overseas concert and was heading back to his apartment. Although the reporters and paparazzi were still lurking around the apartment area to get some gossip news, he still wanted to check on his pregnant wife and make sure of her well being.

 His company had set a date for a press conference for Jaejoong to explain about the rumors to the reporters. He wanted to reveal his secret marriage to the public and his fans, ask for forgiveness, and ask them to accept the fact and continue to love JYJ as it is.

 If it had happened any sooner, he would've definitely chosen the first choice: divorcing her. But now things are different. He had finally realised his real feelings for her. He was in love, once again. He wanted to protect his love and keep her by his side forever. No matter what it takes.


 He had even bought soveniours for her, and he wanted to surprise his beloved angel by visting her like this.

 He exhaled deeply, fixing his hair and clothes. Then he opened the door silently. He carefully stepped inside without making a sound.

 But instead of a surprised Minhwa, what greeted him was a pitch dark room and dead silence.

 He checked the time, *Is she already asleep?* he wondered, chuckling amusedly at the thought of his exhausted pregnant wife.

 He switched on the lights, walked to her room, and gently opened the door. It was dark as well. He reached out to switch on the light. And when he did, he wished he hadn't.

 The room was empty. Well, not completely. The bed and the furniture were there but Minhwa's belongings weren't.
 

 He panicked and ran to the drawers and opened them hastily. They were empty as well.
When he turned around, he noticed a neatly folded paper on the table beside the bed. He unfolded it with shaky hands, tears already starting to pool in his eyes.
