Chapter 4
Because Of YouThe two boys started throwing punches and kicks.
"P-Please stop!" Eunhyuk pleaded, "I-I didn't do anything!"
"Give it back." One of the boys said. He was wearing a red hoodie.
"Then we'll stop." The other said.
"I don't have it! Please… Just leave me alone!"
The boy in the red hoodie was about to punch Eunhyuk in the face but before his fist could make contact, he stopped. He could hear people coming.
"Aish! Let's go!" He said, not wanting to get caught.
The two boys left and Eunhyuk slowly sat against a wall.
Even though the two boys thought they heard people coming, no one actually came into the alley. Eunhyuk sat by that wall for an hour until finally, someone came.
"Where is it?" Eunhyuk heard a boy's voice say. The voice got closer and then Eunhyuk could see who it was. It was a handsome guy in jeans and a hoodie.
He stopped searching when he noticed Eunhyuk.
"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!"
"I-I'm fine…" Eunhyuk said weakly.
"You're bleeding… Come with me."
Eunhyuk was helped off the ground and was helped to the guy's house.
Once they entered the house, the guy helped Eunhyuk to the couch.
"What's your name?"
"I'm Lee Hyukjae. You can call me Eunhyuk."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Lee Donghae."
Eunhyuk nodded.
Donghae left to get a first aid kit.
Eunhyuk looked around and noted how clean it was.
Donghae finally returned. He took Eunhyuk's backpack off his bag.
"What happened to you?"
"I was sorta beaten up in that alley by two guys who thought I stole something of their's." Eunhyuk said.
"Okay, this might sting." Donghae said as he dabbed a cotton ball on Eunhyuk's scratch. Eunhyuk winced.
Donghae treated the other wounds then packed up the first aid kit.
As Donghae was putting the kit away, someone walked into the room.
"Ah, Leeteuk Hyung!" Donghae said and waved.
"Hi Donghae. Who's this?" Leeteuk looked at Eunhyuk.
"This is Eunhyuk. I found him in an alley, he was wounded so I took him here." Donghae explained.
"Oh… Eunhyuk, do you want to call your parents?" Leeteuk asked.
Eunhyuk looked down at his lap.
Donghae looked at Eunhyuk curiously.
"You do know their number, right?
"It's not that. I just… I'm not really speaking with them." Eunhyuk said.
"Oh… I'm sorry…" Leeteuk said.
"It's okay… Really." Eunhyuk got up from the couch.
"Do you need a place to stay?" Leeteuk asked.
Eunhyuk looked down at his feet.
"Donghae, get the guest room ready." Leeteuk said.
"Yes, Hyung." Donghae said then went to the guest room.
"No, I'm fine. You don't have to-"
"We want to. I don't want you to just be all alone on the streets." Leeteuk said.
Eunhyuk was about to protest but Leeteuk grabbed his wrist and took him to a different room.
"This is where you will be staying." Leeteuk said.
Eunhyuk nodded quietly then sat down on the bed.
"I never really introduced myself. I'm Park Jungsoo, call me Leeteuk. I'm a friend of Donghae's. He lives with me."
"I'm Lee Hyukjae. People usually call me Eunhyuk."
"It's nice to meet you." Leeteuk said. Eunhyuk nodded.
There was a long silence, then Leeteuk finally spoke up.
"Do your parents know where you are?" Leeteuk asked.
Eunhyuk just looked at the pillow on the bed. He didn't plan on answering.
"No answer?" Leeteuk sighed, "All right. Did you run away?"
Eunhyuk still didn't answer.
"Alright. How about this, until you're ready to go home, or at least talk to us about this, you'll stay with us." Leeteuk said.
Eunhyuk nodded.
Leeteuk and Donghae left the room. Eunhyuk sighed. He thought to himself. Should he run away from where he was too? Or should he stay? Should he call someone? He didn't know quite what to do.
