~Your POV~

Today was the day. Donghae actually texted me later yesterday, he’s free and he’ll be coming over a little earlier if I didn’t mind and of course I didn’t since I knew he would be busy today. When I woke up, my heart was racing, my thoughts were jumbled and I was starting to doubt this decision but then I was pulled from my thoughts when I heard a knock on my door, “Come in.” I said in a soft voice, it was Eunhyuk. “Morning,” he greeted with a sweet smile a smile that could kill but it showed sincerity. “Want something to eat? I’m gonna be leaving around 10:30 today.” I shook my head side to side indicating ‘no,’ “Umm…Eunhyuk,” my voice was shaky, “do you think you could stay a little bit longer than that?”

He looked confused but nodded his head up and down, not wanting to question anything not even the awkward silence. Slowly and quietly closing the door, I then let myself fall back onto my bed and mindlessly stare at the ceiling—now being really conscience about what’s to come.

After a little moment to myself I got ready, wearing simple clothing I headed downstairs and saw that Eunhyuk was sitting at the dinner table eating breakfast. Again, I found myself staring at him—daydreaming if you will, just simply admiring him and his features. His hair looking soft and messy, his clothes for today were seemingly comfy. I then joined him in the seat next to him and cautiously watch the time tick away; it was nearing the time of Donghae’s arrival.

Ding dong.

For a moment, it felt as if my heart stopped. I took in a deep breath while Eunhyuk questioned who could that be so early in the day; I told him that I would get the door so he could finish eating. There was this sinking feeling in my chest almost as if I couldn’t breath but really it was the stress and me over thinking everything. I have to make up my mind. Again, my heart was racing with every step I took. I decided to just open the door and hoping that my heart would stop racing I mean its Donghae.  

I welcomed him with a small smile and opened the door wider signaling him to come in.

“Is Eunhyuk still here?” He asked cautiously but regretted that the next second; I could hear the chair at the dinner table being pushed and foot steps nearing the area where the front door is and the living room. I saw that Eunhyuk didn’t look too pleased; more like annoyed.  “____, what is he doing here?” he had said with a wavering tone, I wanted to speak up and plainly explain but Donghae interjected, “She invited me over. What she can’t do that?” The little hairs on the back of my neck stood up and all of a sudden it felt as if the air around us got heavier and maybe even colder. “I wasn’t talking to you. ____, what is he doing here?”

There was a bitter and harsh tone when Eunhyuk had snapped at Donghae, but I was aware that it was also directed at me. “Guys can we please just all take a deep breath. I don’t want you guys to—” I was cut off with Donghae walking pass me to stare down his rival/best friend. I felt as if there was static flowing through them and out their eyes as the immensely stared at each other. I got goose bumps. Quietly, I sneaked into the kitchen to make tea for the three of us, as I did so I heard the floorboards creek under footsteps, getting closer and closer. Looking up to see who it was, it’s Eunhyuk. The look in his eyes were as if he was asking, ‘Why did you do this?’ yet they were filled with anger and he looked like he would punch the wall any second or anyone, but he didn’t and sat himself down on one of the high chairs around the island.

The three of us had stayed in pure silence while I held onto my cup of tea and took sips here and there. After a little bit Donghae had cleared his throat, the sound lightly reverberated around the room and in my ears. “So ____, why did you want to Eunhyuk and I today?” My lips started to quiver as if I were going to cry but really; I didn’t like the pressure the two of them were giving me. I know I have to start somewhere though—set things straight and hopefully fix everything despite the blows each of us will take.

~Conversation~

You: I-I wanted to talk about the whole situation between the three of us…

Eunhyuk: What do you mean ____?

Donghae: Well if you’ll just listen and let her explain without giving her a hard time, maybe she can ing tell you.

Eunhyuk: You should be the one to talk; at least I wasn’t the one who cheated on her.

Donghae: Hey-! I was protecting her! While you were cuddling and flirting around with my girl, what the hell Eunhyuk?!
